- Nikolay Grinko was born on May 22, 1920 in Kherson, Ukrainian SSR [now Ukraine]. He was an actor, known for Stalker (1979), Solaris (1972) and Andrei Rublev (1966). He died on April 10, 1989 in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, USSR [now Ukraine].
- Worked with 2 greatest post WW2 Soviet masters: Sergei Parajanov and Andrei Tarkovsky; he was in former's "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" and latter's "Mirror", both films are featured in Mikhail Vartanov's Parajanov: The Last Spring (1992) in a poetic chapter on the friendship of Tarkovsky and Paradjanov.
