Here's a great costume design for the Star Wars universe character Snoova, a Wookie Bounty Hunter mercenary who was active during the Galactic Civil War. It is being cosplayed by mcm1015. For those of you not familiar with the character, here is a detailed rundown of information:
He was ostracized from Wookiee society and faced the death penalty on his homeworld, Kashyyyk, due to his violation of the Wookiee injunction against the use of his species' natural claws for anything other than climbing; rumors spoke of Snoova slashing at an opponent in a brawl over the affections of a female Wookiee paramour. Snoova escaped Kashyyyk as an outlaw and largely avoided other Wookiees. He turned to a life of bounty hunting—an unusual profession for a member of his species—and mercenary work. Because Wookiees were an enslaved species under the regime of the Galactic Empire, Snoova specifically pursued bounties...

The appearances by Samuel L. Jackson and Liam Neeson in the prequels got me wondering what other high profile actors would flourish in a Galaxy far, far away. This list features some of my best pitches for the actors best suited to roles.
5. Robert Downey Jr.
Role: Jedi
Lightsaber Color: Iron Man Yellow
Potential Quote: "They say the best weapon is the one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I say the best weapon is the one you only have to light up once. That's the way my master did it, that's how the Jedi council does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far."
The only thing keeping me from saying give him the red lightsaber was Patton Oswalt's explanation as to why Luke should have it. Matter of fact, most of this inspiration spurred fromwhen he mentioned Tony Stark entering the Star Wars universe.

This behind-the-scenes trailer from Spiders Studio's "Mars War Logs" gives you a glimpse at the gameplay and story for the upcoming RPG.
Espers, class warfare, and revolution on the Red Planet are the promises of "Mars War Logs," the dialog-based RPG from Spiders Studio. This "Overview" trailer lays out how the game will work mechanically (it looks like a mix of exploration, dialog, and combat--no huge surprises), but one additional mechanic is your character's ability to loot the bodies of fallen enemies for cash which can in turn negative influence the locals' perception of you. Money or friends?
From the developer:
Over a century after the catastrophe that shook Mars and threw its colonists into chaos, power is now shared between the different companies distributing the arid planet's most precious asset: water. The conservative and somewhat archaic Abundance thus struggles to maintain its influence in the face of Aurora, a...

With Disney bringing down the shutters of LucasArts, simultaneously making a whole army of angry Force-wielding enemies (well done Mickey), one upcoming title that many were looking forward to may never see the light of day.
Star Wars 1313 was a distinctly different take on the Star Wars universe, and was a darker, grittier affair. This alone was enough to draw in the attention, and many thought that Star Wars needed to go in a different direction.
Well, now that fears that the game has been canned in the wake of LucasArts closure are growing, rumours have started to fly, with an interesting one being about the lead character.

Yesterday's news about Disney closing down LucasArts and putting an end to all the current Star Wars projects hit some fans (like myself) pretty hard. With Star Wars 1313 now shut down, some more details on the project have begun leaking out, which might make the news even harder. Apparently it was going to focus on the galaxy's number one bounty hunter: Boba Fett.
We knew that Star Wars 1313 would take gamers to the seedy underworld of Coruscant and present a darker and more 'adult' take on the galaxy far, far away, which led many to speculate that the game could in fact feature the notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett. Turns out they were right! New concept art for the game that has leaked online (courtesy of Kotaku) has shown that Fett was to be the focus of the game.
I don't know about you, but this has me even more bummed out.

Watch the first three seasons of "Arrested Development" on Netflix. Today we're covering the third episode of Season 2, "¡Amigos!," which premiered Nov. 21, 2004.

Plot: Michael decides to go to Mexico to find his father once Gene Parmesan discovers the stair car there, and turns the trip into a family outing. He, Lindsay, Maeby, George Michael and George Michael's girlfriend Ann travel down south, and Michael accidentally leaves Ann behind.

Former WCW and WWE world champion Bill Goldberg has taken to Twitter to deny a rumour that he’s signed a new four year deal with WWE starting the night after Wrestlemania.
The rumour had been started by some random account on Twitter and would usually have been dismissed had it not been for Bill himself making a point of denying it. Despite the so-called source having only 26 followers on Twitter it hasn’t stopped the rumour blowing up and hitting the headlines on several reliable wrestling news sites. In response to the Tweet – which read “Goldberg has signed a 4 year contract starting from the 8th of April 2013 until Wrestlemania Xxxiii.” - Goldberg simply replied:
“No he hasn’t”
Goldberg, 46, was last seen in a WWE ring back at Wrestlemania 20 defeating Brock Lesnar in a poorly received grudge match that ended with both men taking a Stone Cold Stunner from Steve Austin.

Vinyl figures that we didn't get around to the first time and a few other things we saw before leaving the Javits Center. One vendor we really haven't paid too much attention to in the past is Jazwares Inc. , but that isn't going to be a mistake we'll make in the future. They have a cool line of Star Wars Spyware that combines the popular Lucasfilm franchise with toys that can be used for spying on your friends and family, things like a Voice Changer, Perimeter Droids Trip Wire Alarm, Bounty Hunter Watch, Night Vision Goggles and they're adding many other things to the line in the coming months. Thanks to Cbm, we've got an interview with Sackhoff where she discusses her role.
"I play Doll, she's a Nordic Bounty Hunter and she's after Riddick," said the actress about her role. While she couldn't confirm whether she has any fight scenes with Riddick (probably means that's a yes) she does state that, "She does have 'quite' a bit of running around to do in the film.

Following Disney's acquisition of LucasFilm last week, speculation has been running rampant ever since as to which of the actors from the original Star Wars trilogy may reprise their roles in 2015's Episode VII. We've already heard from a few of the core cast members, but Unleash The Fanboy managed to catch up with Jeremy Bullock (a.k.a. Boba Fett) to ask him whether or not he would be interested in making a return as the iconic bounty hunter. "It would be lovely to see Boba Fett back!" he told the site. "The technology now exists to make his jet pack even more realistic and exciting. I'm sure if Boba Fett were to return they would go with someone younger, but I’m still fit and can jump around. I’d love to be involved in some way, maybe a cameo as an ageing Bounty Hunter in the corner somewhere.

Even though he believes if he had more willpower he wouldn't have needed specialist treatment, Gerard admits the experience has made him a better person. He said: 'Maybe a stronger person wouldn't have needed to go. When you hear the word rehab, you think, 'He's a mess, he's f***ed up.' But I'm glad I did it. I've made a s**t load of wrong decisions in my life. But I know I've made some right ones as well. 'They really do rip you apart [in rehab].

The actress showed off an intricate ponytail that looked hot from every angle at the 2012 Environmental Media Awards on September 29 in Burbank, California. Why sport the same old pony when you can add so much personality to it! To style a ponytail inspired by Jessica's look, start by sectioning your hair into two sections: one for the bulk of your ponytail, and another to braid. With the smaller section, start a tight French braid from your crown. When you reach the nape of your neck, transition the braid into the rest of your hair. Sweep all of your hair into a low side pony and secure with an elastic. Wrap a strand from the ponytail around the elastic and secure with a hidden bobbi pin.

LucasArts has released a badass new gameplay trailer for their upcoming game, Star Wars 1313. I'm very excited about this Star Wars game, described as being dark and mature, that puts players in the role of a Bounty Hunter. It looks like it's going to be an incredible third-person gaming experience. I have no doubt it will turn out as good as is looks.
As players take control of a lethal bounty hunter in a never-before-seen dark and mature world, Star Wars 1313 introduces an integrated development approach by bringing together great artists across the Lucasfilm organization, including LucasArts, Industrial Light & Magic, Lucasfilm Animation Ltd. and Skywalker Sound. I hate when conversations go to astrological signs. There's nothing lamer than a guy hitting on a girl by asking what sign she is. If you swear that those profiles and horoscopes are accurate to only you, and not Everyone then I think this is where our friendship ends. But I'm not gonna complain and not provide a substitute for this obsession. You can't quit cold turkey so I'll give you another "astrological" system to go off of. This pack of Star Wars Family Car Decals (on sale at ThinkGeek) gave me an idea. I know you're used to saying things like, "I'm a gemini." But what if you could say, "I'm a Jedi," instead??? Isn't that way cooler?! Slightly geekier, but way less lame. According to this "chart" (not in anyway scientific, I know), I myself am a Bounty Hunter. Ladies, you're always a princess on this system so get on board.

Gamers will take on the role of a lethal Bounty Hunter, and according to the developer this is going to be a "darker" and "more mature" Star Wars experience. The clip and gameplay footage shown, give you a solid idea of what's in store for us. I think it looks pretty badass. Here's the previously released description...

5. A brand new Star Wars game
The reputation of Star Wars games hasn't been doing so well recently – after the launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic just a few short months ago, which saw the most ambitious game based on Lucasfilm's iconic franchise quickly rise to become the fastest-selling Mmo of all time, support from fans has been flagging recently, with server population dropping daily. The Force Unleashed series has also been coldly received by some fans of the franchise, who have criticised both games of being too short and having little replay value, as well as claiming that the games mess with canon just for the sake of shoehorning in their own storyline. And the less said about Star Wars Kinect, the better.
But all that may be about to change. Lucasfilm have announced yesterday that a brand new Star Wars game is in development, and gameplay...

All good things must come to an end. And now, so must Dog the Bounty Hunter.
After eight (8!) seasons of the hit reality show, A&E have passed on a ninth season of their cameras following professional bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman and his family of lovable fugitive-recovery agents as they go about recovering fugitives and wearing their sunglasses indoors. It was a good run, folks, and it certainly lasted longer than anyone really could have imagined, even in this age of ur-celebrity. Apparently, “creative differences” were the reason the show has come to an end, though the loads of “behind-the-scenes controversy” probably also began to harm more than it helped.
But rather than just go negative and dip into my bag of mullet jokes, I thought I’d give something else a go. Last month, while talking about something else, I squabbed a bit about how a few years...

Sources say Jennifer Aniston reuniting with an ex-fling for the big screen has turned Justin Theroux into a 'jealous Green-eyed monster'! There may be trouble in paradise for Hollywood lovebirds Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. The unlucky-in-love starlet is paring up with ex-lover Jason Sudeikis for a role in the upcoming movie We're The Millers, which has Justin feeling insecure about their relationship. According to Ok! Magazine, a source close to the couple claims Justin and Jen got into a massive feud over Jen's new co-star after leaving a party thrown at Robert Downey Jr.'s home. The source said Justin had been trying to keep his jealousy bottled up, but couldn't keep his mouth shut any longer. "Why are you doing this to me?" said an emotionally beat Justin. Justin is concerned because Jason and Jen have had undeniable chemistry since they first worked together on the Bounty Hunter.

Monolith continue to offer fans of Gotham City Imposters plenty of reasons to keep playing, with the most recent update including a brand new map titled “East End” and a new game mode called “Bounty Hunter”
“East End” is the second additional map that’s been added to the game and features a dilapidated area of urban Gotham. The map is playable in all multiplayer modes, as well as bringing new objectives to the single player challenge mode.
“Bounty Hunter” is a brand new competitive multiplayer mode which sees teams competing against each other to earn bounties from fallen players. The first team to reach 50 collected bounties wins the game, putting a unique spin on the similar but more simplistic gameplay of team deathmatch.
Rounding out the package are new customization options – including the ability to have your character speak in other languages including French, Italian, Spanish and German.

Gerard Butler is in rehab. The 'Bounty Hunter' star is currently at the Betty Ford Center in California, where he is receiving treatment for substance abuse. According to TMZ.com, Gerard entered the facility three weeks ago after realising he was becoming dependent on prescription drugs. His problems were allegedly triggered by the physical demands of shooting '300' in 2006 when he started taking painkillers to cope with numerous injuries he got while shooting the action film. The problem got worse when the 42-year-old actor was filming 'Of Men and Mavericks' when he was badly hurt in December during a surfing accident. Gerard is set to leave the facility today (24.02.12). In December, the Scottish star was said to have cheated...

One for the Money, the new Katherine Heigl vehicle based on the popular Janet Evanovich book series, is now playing at a local theater near you. Since One for the Money was not screened early for critics, Alison Willmore (of the A.V. Club and Movieline) plunked down United States currency to see One for the Money at an overnight midnight showing. As I read her review at Movieline, it became obvious that an obsessive chat was necessary. (Spoiler alerts, obviously.) Mike: I saw One for the Money at a junket screening, so your memory of this movie is going to be a lot better than mine. Alison: I suppose there are people out there somewhere who might enjoy this film, but I don't want to know them. Mike: Were there any at your midnight screening? Alison: Well, there were probably about 10 people, including a couple who were actively complaining...

Last fall, we brought you news that the Comic-Con sensation, Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter, had been snatched up by Paramount Pictures. The graphic novel by Daniel LuVisi, published by Heavy Metal Publishing, had sold out in a mere two hours this past summer at San Diego Comic-Con.
Variety reports that Paramount has tapped screenwriter David Leslie Johnson (Orphan, Wrath of the Titans) to write the adaptation of Last Man Standing.
The story of Last Man Standing occurs 600 years into the future and follows an “invincible soldier created to help Earth win a war against Mars. After becoming a celebrity hero, he’s framed for a heinous crime by a terrorist organization. After a nine-year prison sentence, he escapes and sets out to even the score.”
Scott Aversano (Ghosts/Aliens) is slated to produce alongside LuVisi. Stehan Lokotsch, Russell Binder and Peter Levin are executive producers on the project.

David Fincher, Robert Rodriguez and rights-holder Kevin Eastman have all struggled in recent years to get a new portmanteau Heavy Metal movie up and running. But a break-out, stand-alone title from the famous sci-fi-and-violence-and-boobs anthology comic looks to be heading for a film adaptation, in the form of Last Man Standing. The buzz started at last year's Comic-Con, where Daniel LuVisi's Last Man Standing graphic novel, two years in the making, sold out its entire print run in a little over two hours. Paramount were quick to grab themselves an option, and it's now fallen to David Leslie Johnson (Orphan, Wrath Of The Titans, The Walking Dead) to hammer the material into screenplay shape. After generating a lot of appeal at Comic-Con in 2010, Daniel LuVisi‘s graphic novel Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter is finally making its way to the big screen. ShowBlitz tells us that Paramount has hired Orphan writer David Leslie Johnson to write the adaptation.
As ShowBlitz informs us, the original comic followed “an invincible soldier created to help Earth win a war against Mars, who’s “framed for a heinous crime by a terrorist organization and, after a nine-year prison sentence, escapes to even the score.” Sounds like there’s plenty of room for entertainment and world-building, staples that many filmmakers have tried — and many filmmakers have failed — to implement in their sci-fi projects as of late.
Besides 2009′s Orphan, Johnson has also penned the recent fairy tale picture Red Riding Hood, and has Wrath of the Titans, the sequel to Louis Leterrier‘s Clash of the Titans,...

The release of the Bioware’s juggernaut Mmo is nearly upon us and, as is the way with these games, a large beta invites thousands of players to help the developers iron out the kinks before the game hits the shelves.
I should stress – especially with the Battlefield 3 beta debacle the other month – that this is indeed a beta and not a demo of the game and many things I find over this weekend are subject to change before the official release. Fortunately, unlike EA’s treatment of Battlefield 3, Bioware are making no bones about the fact that this is a beta and as such are publicising this as anything else. Phew.
So, onward and upward. 10:00 Cst – my allotted login time – strikes and the ‘Play’ button lights up on my login client. I’m in. Kind of.
