Now it's finally here, and we have visual proof in the new trailer for what is now called Iron Mask, which will be "premiering everywhere on Digital and On Demand November 20th and on Blu-ray and DVD November...

Like our founder and editor Todd Brown, I am obsessed with, and flummoxed by, the troubled history and ongoing weirdness surrounding Russia's modern adaptation of Viy. Ten years in the making, the film finally got released last year under the international title Forbidden Empire, and, while it was a fun film full of whimsy and wonderful creatures, it was, by all accounts, something of a disaster all in. Except, maybe it wasn't? Earlier in 2016 it was announced that Viy-2 was rushing into production with the aid of Chinese funding and two massive stars on board, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan. Fantasy regular, Jason Flemyng also returns to reprise his role as cartographer Jonathon Green along with Rutger Hauer. Here's where it gets weird again. If...

The fact that Oleg Stepchenko's Russian ghost story Viy exists at all is something of a minor miracle. Roughly a decade from the release of the first teasers to the film actually reaching completion it was the near definition of a troubled production, tearing through multiple production companies, suffering massive cost over runs, and being extensively rewritten and reverse engineered more than once through production until it finally ended up as an international period fantasy with Charles Dance and Jason Flemyng in the lead role. And after having survived the experience Stepchenko is doing the natural thing: He's making another one. He's heading to China to do it. And he's added Jackie Chan to the mix. Flemyng returns as cartographer Jonathon Green, packed up by...

*there are spoilers here. Director: Daniel Krige. Writers: Jonathon Green and Anthony O'Connor. Cast: Nicholas Hope, Kelly Paterniti, Sam Reid, Alan Dukes, James Mackay, and Hayley McElhinney. Redd Inc. is an Australian shot horror film, which was originally titled Inhuman Resources. This is truly an independent film, that was partially financed through crowd funding. Redd Inc. is also a tale of an office worker's worst nightmare. Thomas Reddmann keeps his five workers literally chained to their desks, while needling them to work harder. Shot primarily on one location, Redd Inc. can sometimes look drab, but the film's characterizations and especially the lead villain create for an exceptionally good time. Thomas Reddmann is accused of several axe-murders. Reddmann was able to escape the local mental rehabilitation unit, after he is found guilty. He puts his time to good use. Soon, Reddmann has abducted five characters, each of whom are involved in his case.

Tagline: "Heads will roll." There is another horror movie coming out of the American Film Market that fans should be aware of. Redd Inc. aka Inhuman Resources brings plenty of bloodstains and mutilated bodies. A serial killer has set up shop in a local corporation and he has hired six new recruits. Except, these staff members were hired against their will. Now, they must prove their boss is innocent of murder. This seems an impossible task as each staff member is tortured and some are even "terminated." Redd Inc. will show at the Afm November 5th and a trailer is available here before the show. In the clip, the six employees have their mistakes scrawled across their face, while Thomas Redmann (Nicholas Hope), the boss, chooses who advances and who falls to the wayside. Have a look at the brutal clip below. Showing Date: November 5th (Afm). Director: Daniel Krige.

Redd assigns his 'staff' the impossible task of proving his innocence or suffering gruesome consequences. While looking back at my viewing for this year, I have seen a lot of genre films, and actually I have seen a lot of really good ones. I had been surprised quite a lot this year, and I wasn’t sure if anything else this could do that. I was proved wrong with Redd Inc. (Inhuman Resources is the Us title), not only did this film surprise me, but also it is one of the best genre films I have seen this year. This is a great film, not just a great genre film, there is so much to enjoy and embrace here.
Our storyline here is very intriguing, with a setting that is very brave and it works like a charm. Six people wake up chained in an office, to desks by a man named Thomas Reddmann (Nicholas Hope), an escaped killer. His...

Sure, "The Office" isn't the same since Steve Carell left, but the Nard-Dog doesn't make that bad of a boss. And as much of a douche as he was as the boss of Initech in Office Space, Bill Lumbergh was more annoying than anything else. But Thomas Reddmann, now that's a bad boss.
