David Green, known to his friends and colleagues as Dave was an extremely talented scenic artist in the film and television industry
A quote from the Scenic Art CO website is below:
"When the BBC closed their "in house" production services, five Artists from the Scenic Art Department got together and created the Scenic Art Co.
The Artists were Jim McCarthy, Peter Nurse, Colin Wright, Dave Green and Catherine Mayer.
Probably the most experienced scenic art group in the UK, Scenic Art CO have worked for most of the big names including the BBC, (of course), LWT, Carlton, Thames, The National theatre, Disney, Warner bros, Shakespeare's globe, Sky etc etc.
Set painting, backdrops, murals, gauzes, production paintings either copies or of original design, trompe l'oeil and faux finishes, the traditional work of scenic art are all provided, but we also provide storyboard, production illustration and concept art services."
Dave was one of less than 40 scenic artist globally who had the skillset to accurately create the size backdrop scenery required, all of which was intricately painted by hand.
