James Goldstone was born on June 8, 1931 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was a director and writer, known for Kent State (1981), The Court of Last Resort (1957) and Iron Horse (1966). He was married to Ruth Goldstone. He died on November 5, 1999 in Shaftsbury, Vermont, USA.
Many times, he offered to sell copies of his shooting script and all of his notes for Where No Man Has Gone Before (1966), which he directed. Many eager fans took him up on the offer.
He was a visiting professor in the film division of Columbia University
in New York City. He was president of the Vermont Film
Commission.
Attended Dartmouth College. Graduated from Bennington College with an M.A. in 1953.
