With “Dancing with the Stars” set to come back for a 33rd season this fall, there’s a long list of celebrities who deserve to compete. Three of my past suggestions actually did end up cast on the show: Frankie Muniz (who placed third in season 25), Kel Mitchell (who placed second on season 28), and Jamie Lynn Spears (who was the second to be eliminated last season). Below is a list of male celebs I think the show should consider to vie for the next Mirror Ball Trophy. Do you agree with my picks? Check them out below, then vote in our poll at the bottom of this post to let us know which you’d most like to see on “DWTS.” And let us know in the comments what other stars you would like to see when the show comes back in September.

The year was 1996. Donald Trump was about to buy the Miss Universe pageant. His then-wife Marla Maples was co-hosting the May ceremony with Entertainment Tonight co-host Bob Goen. And the winner was Miss Venezuela, a 19-year-old named Alicia Machado. "She was really enjoying the moment. She was enjoying her chance to shine in the spotlight," Goen tells The Hollywood Reporter. "She seemed very upbeat, and she seemed comfortable with the position, and that was it." In reality, that was just the beginning. Twenty years later, Machado has found herself in the spotlight

Kathy Griffin, who recently set the record for most TV standup specials by any comedian ever, has just been tasked with hosting the 2014 Daytime Emmys on June 22. Newsflash: This is a great idea. The ceremony, which will air online this year, needs a burst of obnoxious glamor to remain a viable telecast. Kathy is the dame to do it. Here are nine very specific, very important reasons she's the perfect Daytime Emmys host. 1. Her New Year's gigs with Anderson Cooper prove she's the best host. Period. 2. She doesn't mind laying into Daytime Emmy gods like Oprah. 3. She can apparently be nice to celebrities? Whatever. I guess diplomacy is a nice skill to have in a public venue. Sidenote: Ellen DeGeneres played this same game with Kathy before. Why are you ripping off other daytime doyennes, Latifah? 4. She can handle the game show categories since she's a game show champion. Here...

After nearly 30 years hosting Entertainment Tonight, the day has come for Mary Hart to put down her mic. Hart, 60, whose hosting duties will be fulfilled by Nancy O'Dell, 45, was surprised with a party on stage after her final taping on Thursday. Unexpected guests, including Hart's former co-hosts John Tesh (co-hosted from 1982-1996), Bob Goen (co-hosted from 1993-2004) and Robb Weller (co-hosted from 1984-1986), were brought out for the big farewell. Additionally, Natalie Cole surprised Hart and serenaded the departing host with her hit, "Unforgettable." Admitting in November that leaving Et was "not an easy decision," Hart said, "Knowing I will...

Move over, Fido: Whiskers is finally getting her turn in the spotlight.
Cat lovers around the country will be happy to hear that GSN is putting felines front and center with its telecast of Cat-minster: CFS International Cat Championship, a two-hour special with an airdate still to be determined. The special, which falls in line with GSN's strategy to continue expanding beyond just game shows into other areas of competition-themed programming as well, will mark the first time the cat competition has been televised.
GSN senior vp marketing Dena Kaplan believes the show has the potential to become an "annual tentpole event" for the network. GSN has similar hopes for another recent initiative, the National Vocabulary Championship.
"Every dog has their day, now it's the 'purr-fect' time for cats to get in the limelight," she said. "GSN is thrilled to capture the exciting world of top feline breeders putting their pedigreed pets, their pride and passion on the line to win the coveted title 'best in show.' "
The 19th Annual Cat Fanciers' Association International Cat Show, the largest international pedigreed cat show in the Western Hemisphere, took place Friday-Sunday in San Mateo County Expo Center in Northern California, with more than 750 cats vying to be named "best in show."
Husband and wife Bob Goen (Entertainment Tonight) and Marianne Curan (Landscapers' Challenge) will host the special, which will feature highlights from the competition -- including the agility course, a cat race through hoops, jumps and tunnels -- and also take viewers into the lives of the exhibitors and cats before the event, showing the preparation that goes into the competition.

There's been another on-air change in the world of syndicated entertainment newsmagazines. Paramount Domestic Television, which produces and distributes Entertainment Tonight, said Monday that Mark Steines has signed a multiyear deal to join Mary Hart as co-anchor, effective immediately. Steines replaces Bob Goen, who has signed a development deal with the studio. In addition, ESPN's SportsCenter anchor Kevin Frazier has been named anchor of Entertainment Tonight Weekend, starting Sept. 18.
