While his reps denied the casting rumors of him possibly playing a Sith Lord in "Star Wars: Episode VII" earlier this week, actor Benedict Cumberbatch himself has now done so at the Toronto Film Festival. Speaking at a press conference for "The Fifth Estate," Cumberbatch says:
"Of course I’d love to do Star Wars and work with Jj Abrams again because we had such a good time on Star Trek. But nobody has been cast and there are no offers out to anyone apart from the regulars who are returning. So that’s that rumour quashed… We’ll have to wait and see." [Source: The Telegraph]

With the newly-minted SpectreVision, Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah and Josh C. Waller, are embarking on a number of genre projects. Cooties recently wrapped shooting (a film we were on the set of). Now comes word of Bad Vibes, a "werewolf tale set in the psychedelic '60s music scene."
An American Werewolf in London's John Landis will come aboard to executive produce. (It looks Landis has become the godfather of werewolf movies just like everyone turns to ol' George Romero for zombie-fueled support.)
The film will be directed by Dave Gebroe (Zombie Honeymoon) from his original screenplay.
“Based on the impressive slate of genre films that Elijah Wood and SpectreVision are producing, I am very excited that Dave Gebroe’s clever and scary Bad Vibes has found the perfect home,” says Landis.

Director David Gebroe remains very hush-hush as his film "Zombie Honeymoon 2." Only confirming that Tracy Coogan is set to reprise her role as Denise, into a straight continuation of the first film, Gebroe remains tight lipped on any possible plot developments in this first sequel to the very popular "Zombie Honeymoon." Likely due to the challenges that can come up on set and the difficulties of working with a creative budget film projects often remain quiet as to story and plot twists until near completion. However, a fan made one-sheet poster is now available from the film and once further details are confirmed they will posted here.

Even though the trend of making zombie films is getting more tired than pretty much any other sub-genre in the history of horror, it still doesn’t dampen my desire to see some of the ones that sound like they may either do something different or, at the very least, be a good time. Zombie Honeymoon (review) was a decent example of the latter, so news on a possible sequel piqued my interest.
“I’ve been in talks with the lead actress, Tracy Coogan, about reprising her role of Denise, and we’re excited about the prospect of working together again,” director David Gebroe told Fangoria in a recent interview. ”I just need financing, and we’re ready to go. I always figured I wouldn’t bother working on a sequel unless the first one was successful enough to warrant it. Well, Zombie Honeymoon definitely was, so there’s certainly an audience for a follow-up.

Fango recently heard from Zombie Honeymoon writer/director David Gebroe (pictured) about his new projects—including a possible sequel to his Chainsaw Award-winning undead fave. Having picked up and moved from his home state of New Jersey to Los Angeles, Gebroe is armed with a slew of scripts and ideas, ready to see what Hollywood has in store.
One such project is a continuation of his debut feature, which won him significant notice in the horror community. “I’ve been working on an idea for Zombie Honeymoon II,” Gebroe tells Fango. “I’ve been in talks with the lead actress, Tracy Coogan, about reprising her role of Denise, and we’re excited about the prospect of working together again. I just need financing, and we’re ready to go. I always figured I wouldn’t bother working on a sequel unless the first one was successful enough to warrant it.
