First trained at the Birmingham school of acting. Worked in a factory and performed with a local amateur dramatic society prior to his RADA scholarship in 1962.
RADA-trained English character actor, often seen in unsympathetic roles. Best known to TV audiences as Frank Laslett, chairman of the fictional Earls Park football club in the first three seasons of the hit drama series Footballers' Wives (2002).
Played in the under-16 team for Aston Villa in his youth.
