Royal ladies wear some of the most beautiful jewels in the world. We’ve seen them in sparkling tiaras, dazzling necklaces, and of course, stunning diamond engagement rings.
The Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) is rarely seen without her iconic engagement ring, which once belonged to Princess Diana. But another royal is rarely photographed with her ring on.
Here’s who that is and why she barely wears it in public.

Once upon a time, before she married Prince Harry, Meghan Markle was a working actor living in Toronto and was best friends with stylist Jessica Mulroney. While Meghan did not stay in touch with some of the people she was close to before she became the Duchess of Sussex, she and Mulroney remained tight after Meghan and Harry’s wedding in 2018.
However, in 2020 a lifestyle blogger called Mulroney out for some unacceptable behavior which led to Meghan reportedly cutting all ties with her. Harry’s wife has never spoken publicly about the fallout. But now a post by Mulroney is leading some to believe that Meghan’s ex-bestie is ready to come forward and speak publicly about their friendship, and that is likely giving the duchess “sleepless nights.”

When Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle stepped down from their roles within the royal family and moved across the pond, the couple signed a handful of lucrative deals, and one was with Spotify. The streaming giant waited nearly two years for the Sussexes to produce content. Finally, in August 2022 the Duchess of Sussex launched her podcast titled Archetypes.

In June, the company decided not to renew Archetypes and terminated its deal with the duke and duchess. The 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany, concluded on Sept. 16. As founder of the Games, Prince Harry, along with his wife Meghan Markle, were front and center at many of the events. But one thing they kept doing was a bit distracting to some.
Now, a body language expert is breaking down what that was and explaining that the duke and duchess did it because they were trying to act like A-list celebrities.

Before marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan Markle was the wife of film producer Trevor Engelson. The couple was married for three years before their union ended. However, the brutal way Meghan reportedly ended her marriage shocked one royal author, who included details of the couple’s split in a 2018 book about the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle’s first marriage ended in 2014
Andrew Morton, who authored the books Meghan: A Hollywood Princess and Diana: Her True Story, revealed that sources close to the couple spilled how Meghan Markle put a period on her marriage to Trevor Engelson. The book claims Meghan’s decision came “totally out of the blue.”
Meghan and Engelson dated for seven years before tying the knot in Jamaica. However, according to Morton, Meghan was the one who pulled the plug on their union.
In Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, Morton wrote that Meghan ended her first marriage rather quickly.

Exclusive: A spinoff of the hit drama series Snowfall is in early stages of development at FX, sources tell Deadline. No one would comment but we hear that, if it comes to fruition, the offshoot would potentially star Gail Bean reprising her fan-favorite Snowfall character, Wanda.
The spinoff is a continuation of the original story set in 1990s Los Angeles as South Central transitions out of the crack era into the gangster rap business, with areas heavily infested by gangs led by the Bloods and Crips. Wanda would serve as the connective tissue between the original show and the offshoot, which is expected to introduce other main characters, sources tell Deadline.
It is as yet unknown if any other characters from the original could also appear in the new show.
Malcolm Spellman will serve as executive producer and writer of the pilot. Returning executive producers include Dave Andron (co-creator of...

Stoners and comedy fans everywhere have reason to rejoice: a Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong biopic is on the way.
Written by Danya Jiminez and Hannah McMechan (who both wrote for Comedy Central’s 2020 reboot of The Ren & Stimpy Show) and directed by Kristian Mercado, the film will follow the comedic duo’s origins through a “never-before-seen” lens, showing their rise from obscurity to stardom. The release date of the film is still unknown, but many feel it’s high time the duo gets their due big-screen recognition.
“We are excited to show the world how two dudes from completely different backgrounds got together, changed comedy, and made cannabis mainstream!” Cheech and Chong said in a joint statement (pun intended).
Both Marin and Chong will have executive producer credits on the project. The beloved cult-icons partnered with Todd Lieberman’s Hidden Pictures after the production company acquired the rights to the yet-to-be-named flick.

Hey, Dave’s not here, man.
Who is here, though, is Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures as he partners with Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, and Underground as well as Five All in the Fifth Entertainment for a planned biopic of the comedy team, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cheech and Chong are the comic duo who brought the stoners to the mainstream with their 1978 movie, Up in Smoke. They gained popularity with their uncensored and counterculture comedy and followed that movie with Cheech and Chong’s Next Movie in 1980 and Nice Dreams in 1981.
The biopic is set to have Kristian Mercado at the helm as director. Mercado is no stranger to making comedies, having directed specials for comedians Michael Che, Hannibal Burress, Ilana Glazer, and more. He recently made his feature film debut with his film If You Were Last, starring Anthony Mackie and Missi Pyle, which screened at SXSW this year.

The origin story of Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, the pioneering comedians whose 1978 film Up in Smoke has transcended cult status, is getting its own big screen treatment.
Todd Lieberman’s Hidden Pictures is partnering with Marin and Chong, Underground, and Five All in the Fifth Entertainment on a feature biopic about the comedy duo.
Cheech and Chong came to prominence in the ’70s and ’80s, becoming synonymous with stoner culture by riffing on and lifting up the counterculture of the time, from hippies to (of course) cannabis. Their combined output included successful stand-up shows, comedy albums, and low-budget feature films, including Up in Smoke, Cheech and Chong’s Next Movie (1980) and Nice Dreams (1981).
Kristian Mercado, who most recently made his feature debut with the 2023 South by Southwest entry If You Were Last, will direct from a screenplay by Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan.

In his highly anticipated pre-recorded interview with British TV anchor Tom Bradby, Prince Harry went into detail about his and Meghan Markle’s rift with Prince William and Kate, recalling that his brother and sister-in-law had been ‘Suits’ fans, yet there were “lots of different reasons” why they did not get along with his wife, report ‘Variety’ and ‘Daily Mail’.
The Duke of Sussex, who has virtually declared war against the British royal family in his memoir, ‘Spare’, said the “stereotyping” of Meghan for being an “American actress, divorced, bi-racial” was the main reason for the rift. The explosive interview was aired on Sunday night (U.K. time) on public service broadcaster ITV.
Harry went on to repeat his insinuation from the book that his family was jealous of Meghan, leading its members to brief the media against her.

Prince Harry expressed the extreme discomfort he felt after watching Meghan Markle’s sex scenes in Suits.
From 2011 and 2018, Markle starred as lawyer Rachel Zane in the hit legal drama opposite Patrick J Adams, who played her love interest, Mike Ross.
Markle married producer Trevor Engelson just after the show’s first season premiered, before getting divorced in 2014.
Two years later, Harry and Markle met before eventually getting married in 2018.
During the early days of their relationship, Harry recalled making “the mistake of Googling and watching some of her love scenes online” in an excerpt (via Page Six) from his forthcoming memoir Spare.
“I’d witnessed her and a castmate mauling each other in some sort of office or conference room,” he wrote. “I didn’t need to see such things live.”

Spike Lee has found his next project. The “BlacKkKlansman” Oscar winner is attached to an upcoming drama series about the Army Reserve Officers Training Corps that hails from writers Jalysa Conway and Rebecca Murga, an individual with knowledge of the project told IndieWire. Though the project is still in the early stages of development at Amazon Studios, Lee has boarded the project as both a director and an executive producer.
The untitled show is described as a coming-of-age drama that follows students who serve in the Rotc as a way of paying tuition at an elite university. Both Conway, a writer on “9-1-1 Lone Star,” and Murga, a writer and director on “Swagger,” used the Rotc to fund their higher education before serving in the U.S. Army.
Conway and Murga will also executive produce the untitled Rotc show alongside Lee, Steven Jackson and Trevor Engelson (“Snowfall”) for his production banner Underground.

Exclusive: Diego Rey has been promoted to full-time manager at Beverly Hills-based management/production company Underground.
Diego joined the company as an assistant in the summer of 2021 and has built a strong roster of writers, actors, and directors while at the company.
“Promoting Diego to full-time manager is an absolute no brainer decision for us,” said Trevor Engelson. “He came to us as hungry as we’ve ever seen an assistant, but also with a personality that made him fit in perfectly with us from day one. He’s got amazing taste and is a big part of the next generation we are building here at Underground”.
A graduate of the University of Texas. Rey moved to Los Angeles in the fall of 2017. After living on a couch and working as a barista, he landed a job in the Management 360 mailroom where he stayed until making his way to Underground.

Exclusive: Fox is developing Billionaire Class, a one-hour drama from writer Eric Haywood, Malcolm Spellman and Nichelle Tramble Spellman’s The 51 and Fox Entertainment.
Written by Haywood, Billionaire Class is described as a high-stakes wish-fulfillment drama, offering a complex vision of wealth, race, and equity in America. It focuses on a brilliant but disillusioned billionaire’s executive assistant (Jo), who teaches a charismatic, fast-talking street hustler (Miles) how to walk, talk, and act like a billionaire in order to con her employer’s super-wealthy friends into using their money to help the less fortunate.
Haywood executive produces with Malcolm Spellman, Nichelle Tramble Spellman and Eli Dansky for The 51, Trevor Engelson via Underground, his frequent collaborator Douglas Banker for Five All In The Fifth as well as director Maurice “Mo” Marable (Woke). Exclusive: In a preemptive situation, Neal Moritz’s Original Film has landed an untitled horror pitch from Jason Pagan and Andrew Deutschman.
Amanda Lewis will be producing for Original. Pitch was bought through Original’s Paramount discretionary fund.
Details are under wraps, but the project is based on a series of TikTok videos that Original controls.
This sale brings the writers back into the Paramount fold where they wrote 2015’s Project Almanac and Blumhouse’s Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension.
Pagan and Deutschman have been on a nice roll, having sold the feature scripts, Classified to New Line Cinema for Chad Stahelski to direct, Every House Is Haunted to Netflix with Corin Hardy to direct, and Tarot to eOne with Andre Ovredal to direct.

Exclusive: Kill the Orange-Faced Bear starring Damon Wayans Jr. will not be going forward at TBS. The cast and crew were just told about the decision, which comes a week before the comedy series was scheduled to begin production on its 10-episode order in Vancouver. I hear the project, which has a filmed pilot, will be shopped to other outlets by the producers.
This marks the first major decision to kill a WarnerMedia entertainment project following the completion of Discovery’s acquisition. It follows the new leadership’s recent move to swiftly pull the plug on CNN+ after just weeks of operation. Warner Bros. Discovery has pledged to deliver 3 billion in cost savings from the deal, and the demise of Kill the Orange-Faced Bear is believed to be a business, not a creative decision. Further culling of WarnerMedia divisions’ slates is expected as the new top executives examine the newly acquired assets,...

FX has renewed “Snowfall,” the crime drama created by John Singleton, Eric Amadio and Dave Andron, for its sixth and final season.
The series is set in Los Angeles during the crack cocaine epidemic of the 1980s. Season 5, which is currently airing on FX, takes place in summer 1986, and follows Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) and his family as they’ve become rich and are on the verge of having everything they’ve ever wanted, until basketball star Len Bias’ crack-related death sends lawmakers and the Los Angeles Police Department after them. Amidst all of this, the biggest threat the family faces are each other as they try not to let greed, resentment and ego tear them all apart.
