- Aviator who disappeared on 7/2/37 while attempting an around-the-world flight along the Equator. Husband George Palmer Putnam had her declared legally dead on 1/5/39 so that he could remarry. Linda Finch completed the flight in a restored Lockheed 10E Electra in 1997.
