As the trailer for Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood" is starting to play more and more often in theaters, more and more people seem to get excited about the director's reimagining of the famous character.
Here is a new poster for the upcoming adventure film, and I believe it first showed up at HeyUGuys. It's quite simple, yes, but it sure looks awesome; kind of that fantastic last shot in the current preview.
"Robin Hood" opens May 14, 2010, and it features an all-star cast including Russell Crowe, Mark Strong, Matthew Macfadyen, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Danny Huston, Max von Sydow and Kevin Durand. »

The first international trailer for Ridley Scott's forthcoming forest-dwelling epic Robin Hood is now online.
Russell Crowe stars as the titular character, alongside Cate Blanchett as the lovely Maid Marion and co-stars William Hurt, Vanessa Redgrave, Saoirse Ronan, Mark Strong, Kevin Durand and Scott Grimes.
Check out the trailer in the player below. It certainly does, as many have noted, have its similarities to the director and lead's earlier collaboration on Gladiator, but who cares? Gladiator was ace, and if the boys want to get together and make something equally rousing and entertaining a decade later, then we say good luck to 'em.

The first teaser trailer for Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood appeared online last week, giving us our first proper taste of the Alien director’s take on the classic character, as well as Russell Crowe’s portrayal of him. I have to say I agree with fellow Screen Rant writer Paul Young that the trailer was a little disappointing, mostly because the heavy, beating rock music overpowered everything. It wasn’t bad or anything, as what was happening on-screen looked good to me, but just the wrong choice of music Imo.
Now we have a new international trailer for Robin Hood that comes in and saves the day by remedying the problems I had with the first (domestic) teaser. It does this by replacing the heavy beating rock music (which was reminiscent of the second Clash of the Titans trailer) to some which is far more suited to the movie, »

Back in September, it was announced that the secret comic book movie project that "Sherlock Holmes" director Guy Ritchie has been circling was not in fact, "Sgt. Rock," as many had suspected. Instead of directing a film about an American war hero, Ritchie would get behind the camera for "Lobo" — a movie based on the adventures of DC's violent, white-skinned alien bounty hunter.
However, the reports of Ritchie's attachment to the project could be a bit premature, as he told MTV News during the recent "Sherlock Holmes" junket in London.
"Is it a matter of fact that I'm doing it?" Ritchie asked when told of reports framing his participation in "Lobo" as a done deal. "I don't think it's a matter of fact. In fact, I can tell you it's not a matter of fact."
Supremely evasive when asked for clarification, Ritchie seemed intent on keeping the status of "Lobo »

Robin Hood
Directed by: Ridley Scott
Starring: Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchette, Mark Strong
Rating: R
Release Date: May 14, 2010
Trailer Score: 6/10
My Thoughts: Ever since Russell Crowe hefted a phone at a guy making minimum wage and then threw a momentous hissy-fit, he’s morphed, at warp speed, from a snarling gladiator to a pudgy infant prone to public tantrums. Should an actor’s private shenanigans influence the way we look at his art, especially when that actor is as undeniably fine-tuned as Crowe? I don’t know–let’s ask Mr. Cruise if anyone’s opinion of him changed after he bounced around on Oprah’s couch like a wild-eyed lunatic.
I understand that Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe are engaged in a bromance of epic proportions, but you don’t get the d*ck to play Robin Hood, no matter how good he is at Let’s Pretend. Robin »

“Robin Hood and Little John walkin’ through the forest; laughin’ back and forth at what the other’ne has to say.” Ah, Disney’s Robin Hood, what a classic cartoon movie; Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, however, will not be so warm, fuzzy or musical. Even though I wasn’t a fan of the background music from the latest trailer for Robin Hood, I’m still very much looking forward to watching Russell Crowe don the leather, bows and arrows to give Prince John hell.
Russell Crowe trades in his unmanly roman gladiator skirt for manly, um, tights, to play Robin Hood is this latest take on the English legend of the bad guy turned good guy fighting for the people of Nottingham, by director Ridley Scott (who is somewhat a legend in his own right). Joining Crowe are Cate Blanchett as Maid Marian, Mark Strong as the Sheriff of Nottingham, »

Here we go... the first official trailer for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood has hit the web a few days earlier than expected, and I believe it will also debut in theatres along with James Cameron's Avatar. I know a lot of people are looking forward to this as it reteams Ridley Scott with Russell Crowe in an action movie setting reminiscent of Gladiator. The trailer certainly plays up the action angle above all else, featuring plenty of gritty, slow-mo battle sequences set to a little bit of rock music. Zack Snyder would be proud. I guess it does the job as far as proving that this is a new take on the character we haven't necessarily seen before. It's hard to say much else at this point, but I'm definitely on board with the adaptation thus far. The movie also co-stars Mark Strong, Matthew Macfadyen, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, »

The trailer for Ridley Scott’s vision of the Robin Hood legend has arrived online, looking much more akin to Gladiator 2 than any version of Robin Hood you’re familiar with.
I don’t know why I can’t get into this trailer — I suppose it’s because it refuses to reveal any markers of where Scott plans to take the story, other than a darker path we’re familiar with.
Russel Crowe looks good as ever though. Robin Hood also stars Cate Blanchett, Mark Strong, William Hurt, and Kevin Durand. While I’m disappointed in the generic nature of the trailer, I’m still excited for the film on May 14 2010. Check out the trailer below.
