CAA is adding to its ranks.
The agency has hired Saraphina Monaco as an agent in its television talent department. She’ll be based at CAA’s Century City office and will focus on identifying and creating acting opportunities for the agency’s comedy touring clients — which includes several A-list comedians — in film and television.
Monaco joins CAA from A3 Artists Agency, where she spent five years as a talent agent in its theatrical division. The agency ceased operations in February. Prior to that, Monaco worked at Buchwald, in both its New York and Los Angeles offices, and Prestige Talent Agency. She began her career as an assistant at Aquila/Wood Casting and also has experience at a few boutique agencies.

The Pink Ladies of “Grease,” the most colorful Rydell High students, are back on April 6 on Paramount+. However, this won’t be the same collection of young women from the original film — or even its cult classic sequel. This round, we see how the popular clique got its start. The girls now have a show of their own: “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies,” a salute to 1950s teens who refuse to conform to conventional standards. The new musical series shows us Rydell High before Sandy and Danny start strutting down the halls. The show stars Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso, and Tricia Fukuhara.

Amber Riley has made TV history with her win on The Masked Singer season eight.
During Wednesday (30 November) night’s finale of the US version of the celebrity singing series, Riley – best known for her recurring role as Mercedes on creator Ryan Murphy’s series Glee – walked away victorious.
Following the top-secret 12-week singing competition, the 36-year-old actor, who had been disguised as a gold shimmery harp, was the last standing contestant to unmask.
Riley’s newest triumph marks her second major win on a TV reality show competition. In 2013, she and her dance partner, Derek Hough, took home the coveted mirrorball trophy of Dancing with the Stars season 17.
Other celebrities, including Gladys Knight and Margaret Cho, have attempted both competitions, however, Riley is the only one to have ever achieved the double feat.

Exclusive: Fox has a lot to be thankful for this week. After three days of delayed viewing, The Masked Singer‘s Thanksgiving episode drew the network’s highest-rated Thursday original telecast in over six years.
The episode, which was the Season 8 semifinals, scored a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic, according to Live+3 Day Nielsen data. A Thursday program hasn’t scored that well for Fox since the finale of American Idol in April 2016.
It’s also the highest rating a regular Thursday primetime entertainment telecast has received in L+3 across all of cable and broadcast since the series finale of The Big Bang Theory on CBS in 2019.
It’s worth noting that the episode had a lead in from the Dallas Cowboys win over the New York Giants, which drew an NFL viewing record of its own with a massive 42 million people watching that game.

It was a “Battle of the Semi Finals” on “The Masked Singer” airing Thursday, November 24. Harp, Lambs and Snowstorm had each taken out the competition in their respective rounds and went head-to-head in the first ever three-way Battle Royale. After performing “Thinking of You” by Katy Perry and “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson, it was Snowstorm that came up short of reaching the Season 8 finale, revealing herself to be comedian Nikki Glaser.
“It was the first dream that I ever had,” the actress told host Nick Cannon during her unmasked interview. “It was squashed at such a young age and it just became something that was unattainable to me. When this opportunity came up it was so perfect. I think what held me back is that everyone knew I was a comedian, so everyone was like, ‘Don’t sing, no one wants to hear that. It’s like Michael Jordan playing baseball.

Two all new celebrities in disguise took to “The Masked Singer” stage for “Fright Night” on Wednesday, November 23, singing their hearts out and coming for Snowstorm’s crown. After giving a soulful rendition of “Devil With the Blue Dress On” by Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels, Sir Bug a Boo advanced to the evening’s Battle Royale, only to be bested by Snowstorm after singing “Somebody’s Watching Me” by Rockwell. Two all new celebrities in disguise took to “The Masked Singer” stage for “Fright Night” on Wednesday, November 23, singing their hearts out and coming for Snowstorm’s crown. After giving a spooktacular performance of “Abracadabra” by the Steve Miller Band, Scarecrow voluntarily withdrew from the competition prior to the evening’s Battle Royale. The “wicked” performer was revealed to be Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Linda Blair.
“Let me tell you what you do for me and for the world,” Blair told host Nick Cannon and panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger during her unmasked interview. “You take us out of what is the most difficult time in history, right now, for one hour a week of entertainment.
