- In 2001 he staged Copi's "Eva Peron" in Santiago, Chile, a production which then toured in France, Spain and South America.
- Much of his work has been for the French stage. He has been seen in Shakespeare's "Richard III" (1995), Langhoff's production of Franz Kafka's "The Penal Colony", Gogol's "The Inspector General" (1999) and Sastre's production of Marlowe's "Tamerlane the Great" (2001).
- When Marcial first moved to France at age 18, he worked as an assistant to Alfredo Arias in staging spectacles, including works for the Paris Opera: Rameau's "Les Indes galantes" and Offenbach's "Tales of Hoffmann".
