We’ve previously reviewed Michael Fausti’s short Dead Celebrities and interviewed the filmmaker at Horror-on-Sea on a couple of occasions. Between that and a few other things I’d seen him say about Exit in interviews, I knew this wasn’t going to be a standard horror movie. Beyond that, I wasn’t sure what I was going to get. After watching it I’m still not 100% certain of what I got, but I think that’s intentional.
Exit begins with a brief prologue that imparts some information that would usually be held back in a film like this. Whether you find this gives the events a different perspective or is a spoiler will be an individual thing. I was initially not happy with the revelation, but the script...

When it comes to low-budget British movies one of the easiest to create seems to be the gangster movie and I’ll admit it that when I got Age of Kill to watch that is exactly what I expected. Thankfully what I found instead was an action movie that takes the subject of terrorism in London and adds a little twist.
Sam Blake (Martin Kemp) is a black ops sniper who finds himself blackmailed into killing six seemingly random people in six hours. If he fails this or tries to contact the police or his bosses his daughter will be killed. As he performs the kills with the police in close pursuit the...

Principal photography has started on UK action-thriller Age Of Kill, from director Neil Jones and writer Simon Cluett.
Jones’ sophomore film stars Martin Kemp (The Krays) as a sniper forced to murder six random people in six hours to save his kidnapped daughter, played by Dani Dyer (Vendetta). He later realises the murders are part of a political coup and attempts to unmask the kidnappers.
The cast also features Phil Davis, April Pearson, Anouska Mond, Nick Moran, Tony Denham, Donna Air and Patrick Bergin.
“We have assembled a fantastic cast to do justice to Simon’s script: a fast-paced page-turner, which feels much more like an American picture than your standard British film,” said Jones.
The film is being produced by indie Richwater Films along with Anchor Bay UK. Jones will produce the film, alongside Luke Fairbrass and Richwater’s Jonathan Sothcott.
“Simon Cluett’s fast-paced, edgy script never lets up and Neil Jones’ vision for the...

Written and directed by Paul Tanter, White Collar Hooligan 2: England Away will be hitting the big screen this May. Picking up eighteen months after Tanter’s original film, The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan, the film sees Mike and Eddie going global.
We’ve got less than three months to wait before the crime sequel arrives, and we’re lucky enough to have the first trailer to share exclusively with you. And as you can imagine, there’s more than enough to make this trailer Nsfw.
Taking things international for White Collar Hooligan 2 looks to be a great move, raising the stakes and the action, and you can feel we’ve got a sweet British crime movie here coming our way in May.
“Eighteen months on from the events of The Rise & Fall of a White Collar Hooligan; Mike and Katie are living happily in Spain...

After making his directorial debut back in 2011 with the British crime-drama Terry, Nick Nevern has returned behind the camera this year for his second film, The Hooligan Factory.
This time around, Nevern is stepping into new territory, marking the first high-profile movie to spoof the Football hooligan genre that has found such impressive success on our shores in recent years.
Production has been underway since the middle of January, and it officially wrapped on Sunday. And we’ve had the first look image sent over in hi-res.
“Danny (Jason Maza) wants something more. Expelled from school and living in his grandfather’s flat, he longs to live up to the image of his estranged father Danny Senior. Meanwhile legendary football hooligan Dexter (Nick Nevern) is about to be released from prison and is on a quest of his own, one of vengeance against his nemesis and rival firm leader The...

We’re back in that muddy, rainy, remote country lane in Rettendon, Essex again with director Paul Tanter’s (The Hooligan Wars, Jack Falls) new angle on who was responsible for the deaths of Essex drug dealers Tony Tucker, Pat Tate and Craig Rolfe in December 1995 in The Fall of the Essex Boys.
The grizzly crime mystery has dominated Brit gangster folklore, always posing a fresh challenge for whoever brings another version to the big screen. Tanter has found another theory intriguing enough to rouse interest and provide an appealing watch, but it still falls victim to the clichéd Brit crime flick trap that such a genre film simply can’t escape from.
After the death of an ex-copper’s 18-year-old daughter from a bad ecstasy pill supplied by the notorious Essex Boys firm at Raquel’s nightclub in Basildon, Essex, Detective Inspector Stone (Ewan Ross) starts to see the...
