The season of the very first sign of the zodiac is here, and that’s exactly why being a leader comes so easy for Aries folks.
And that’s no joke, Aries really don’t know what else to be but a boss, CEO or innovator, because they’d rather play by their own rules. They march to the beat of their own drum and rarely ever need anyone to play backup instrumentals. Their charm, playful personality and great sense of humor make up for their impulsiveness and sometimes hot-temper, and there’s absolutely no other sign who will keep it all the way real with you like an Aries does, even if it’s something you don’t want to hear. They tell it like it is, as dishonesty goes against their entire m.o.
As ambitious as they are — known for being some of the greatest to ever...

Shirley Ballas’ future with Strictly Come Dancing has been decided weeks after hinting she might quit.
Ballas has been a judge on the BBC dancing competition since 2017, having been brought on to replace Len Goodman as head judge.
However, Ballas suggested she was considering stepping away from the series after reaching an “all-time low” during the 2022 series.
“Last year, I was struggling,” she told The Mirror last month, adding: “It wasn’t just a little bit, it was a lot – the majority of it was in silence.”
Ballas said she received “truly awful” messages from online trolls, stating: “I felt the abuse snowballed out of control and impacted me in such a negative way. I’m a pretty stoic person, and I tend to hold everything in.”
When asked whether the online abuse would ever cause Ballas to quit, she said: “It was a difficult series, I’ll leave it at that.

Gethin Jones wept on BBC One’s Morning Live today (17 March) as he neared the end of a 24-hour dancing challenge for Red Nose Day.
The TV presenter, 45, had been awake all night, doing his 24-hour #StrictlyFitness dancing challenge to raise money for Comic Relief.
At the end of the 24 hours, it was revealed on the show that Jones had raised more than £900,000.
At one point during the challenge, he was shown crying with joy at how much he had raised.
Over on BBC Breakfast, clips were shown of Jones dancing throughout the morning, with the presenter so exhausted he was unable to speak. He managed to give a thumbs up to camera at one point, while bobbing up and down on the spot.
Countryfile star Helen Skelton briefly danced next to him, telling viewers he was a “broken” man.
Speaking ahead of the challenge, Jones had told Radio Times: “It’s mental resilience,...

Vernon Kay has spoken out about his excitement ahead of taking over Ken Bruce’s morning slot on Radio 2.
Bruce, who has hosted on BBC radio for 45 years, announced his departure from the network in January.
After much speculation, Kay was revealed as Bruce’s replacement last week.
As a regular cover host on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Kay featured on Monday’s edition (27 February) of the programme to discuss his new role.
“My dad is a lorry driver and I said this when I joined Radio 2 and started standing in for Steve Wright, so we've always had Radio 2 on in the background,” he told Ball.
"It is part of us, it is in our DNA – Ken Bruce is mid-mornings,” Kay continued. “You don't think of any other DJ when you think of that slot.
“Whatever channel you choose to listen to, whoever is on mid-mornings, it's the Ken Bruce slot.

Strictly Come Dancing cut a snow-themed routine from its recent results show after three boys died in Solihull after falling through ice.
On Sunday (12 December) afternoon, three children aged eight, 10 and 11 slipped through thin ice at a lake in Solihull, dying in the water. A fourth boy, aged six, remains in critical condition in hospital.
You can follow updates on The Independent’s live blog here.
Monday night’s (13 December) Strictly results show was due to begin with a pre-recorded icy routine starring the professional dancers as snowflakes, while judge Craig Revel Horwood played the ice queen.
But despite Tess Daly referring to the dance at the end of the semifinal, the results show went ahead without the performance in the final cut.
While viewers questioned why the pro number, which would usually open the show, hadn’t aired, reports emerged that the BBC had pulled the segment following the tragedy in Solihull.

Tony Adams has become the seventh contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing after making the decision to quit the show.
As a result, the dance off did not go ahead and Tyler West has gone through to the next stage, which will be filmed in Blackpool next Saturday (19 November).
Strictly host Tess Daly explained: “Due to an injury sustained on Saturday night [12 November], Tony is unable to take part in the dance off and has decided to withdraw from the competition.”

Tony Adams has addressed rumours of a rift with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Jones.
The former England football team manager is currently competing for the glitterball in the BBC dancing contest.
Towards the end of last Saturday’s (5 November) episode, Adams and Jones were seen to be having a serious discussion as hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were giving their final remarks.
Earlier in the programme, they’d scored 21 points out of a possible 40 for their salsa to “I Know You Want Me” by Pitbull.
The judges had picked up several technical mistakes that Adams had made during the dance, which Jones assured them he hadn’t been making during their training throughout the week.
After seeing the pair having a heated conversation, some viewers became convinced that they’d been involved in a row.

Tony Adams left Strictly viewers in hysterics after stripping off during his latest performance.

During his performance of the songs “You Sexy Thing” and “Hot Stuff” from 1997 film The Full Monty, (which actually references Adams), the contestant proceeded to pull his trousers down to reveal some sparkly red underwear.
He then ripped his shirt off, which earned him a standing ovation from the crowd, including former Arsenal footballer David Seaman.
“We tried to put some content in there, you know?” he told co-host Claudia Winkleman after the dance, with Tess Daly saying he “brought the roof...

Strictly’s first eliminated celebrity has shared an awkward encounter she had hours after being booted off the BBC series.
On Saturday (1 October), this year’s Strictly Come Dancing celebrities hit the dance floor with their professional partners.
Despite footballer Tony Adams finishing at the bottom of the leaderboard, it was Loose Women host Kaye Adams who was sent home after a dance-off with Bros singer Matt Goss.
Speaking to co-host Tess Daly after the results were announced, Adams said she thought “it was the right result”.
After the episode was recorded, Adams went back to her hotel room to decompress, and decided to order some food.
Writing on Twitter, the presenter said: “Just ordered room service in my hotel. The nice lady who brought it asked me ‘any idea who went out of @bbcstrictly tonight?’ I said ‘me’. Awkward silence.”
The replies section was flooded with fans expressing sympathy...

The first celebrity has been eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
An eventful live show on Saturday (1 October) saw all 15 stars hit the dance floor with their professional partners for the second time.
Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu emerged at the top spot with a total of 65 points – a combination of their scores from this week and last.
Meanwhile, Tony Adams and Katya Jones found themselves at the bottom with only 37 points.
The judges’ scores were added with the results of the viewer’s votes to decide the lowest scoring two couples facing the dance off.
Sunday night’s (2 October) results show saw Kaye Adams and her partner Kai Widdrington become the first couple to depart the dancefloor this season.
It was Kaye and Kai went head-to-head against Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova in the dance-off.
Both couples performed their routines again, with Kaye performing the Charleston and Matt performing the samba.

For years, Strictly Come Dancing has been providing TV audiences with Saturday night entertainment and some truly unforgettable performances.
First airing in 2004 with Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly as hosts, Strictly seemed like a celebrity reality TV show like any other.
But, the show soon became a huge national and international hit, with everyone from politicians to YouTubers taking on the challenge of learning to ballroom dance.
Along the way, there have been some performances you just can’t forget regardless of whether they’re worthy of a perfect 40 or burnt onto your brain for all the wrong reasons.
From the very best to the very, very worst, here are 12 of Strictly’s most memorable moments.
Ed Balls does “Gangnam Style”
When Ed Balls of “tweeting his own name” fame was announced as a contestant, it was assumed that he would be a joke act eliminated in one of the first weeks.

The former BBC judge said that her “beautiful” granddaughter Emme Bow was rushed to hospital after becoming sick with a virus. Bow is now back home and “on the mend”.
Phillips, 79, posted a photo of Bow on social media, accompanied by the caption: “My world was turned upside down this week when my beautiful granddaughter #emmebow was rushed into hospital and my daughter @alanastewartmama had no idea why she was rapidly loosing [sic] weight and like a little rag doll.”
The choreographer said the hospital “identified what was wrong”, explaining that her granddaughter’s illness “was the result of a virus”.

The autumn staple has returned to BBC One, with Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman resuming their hosting duties.
After a trial run last year, Anton Du Beke makes the permanent move from dancer to judge this season, as he now shares scoring responsibilities with Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood.
Of course, there are many professional dancers in tow, as well as 15 celebrities who are showing off their skills in styles from salsa to waltz. (You can check out the full line-up here.)

East first hit TV screens in 2005 as part of girl group Addictiv Ladies on The X Factor.

Globalisation isn’t just about lax child labour laws lowering the price of t-shirts; it also has its downsides. Global markets have a tendency to replace local idiosyncrasy with the accessibly bland. Should, for instance, the makers of Sweden’s chocolate Plopp Bar ever branch out into English-speaking territories, they’d be forced to rename their product to something much less funny, and we’d all be the worse off for it.

Dust off your sequins and feathers because BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing” has revealed the first celebrity contestants for this year’s two-step extravaganza.

Doctor Who might not be returning to our screens for a few months yet, but the Time Lord has always got time for brave kids, as proven by Jodie Whittaker’s appearance on Children in Need last night.
As part of the BBC’s annual fundraising telethon on Friday, November 15th, one young girl named Anastasia – who’d been established as a massive Whovian in a Vt – came on stage to talk to host Tess Daly about her acting classes and how they had helped rebuild her confidence. She was then presented with an apparent live feed for Whittaker and her on-screen companions Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill, who claimed to be filming in the Us.
Soon, though, they complained that the signal was bad and they’d better just speak in person. Cue the screen splitting apart and the Tardis trio, all dressed in their characters’ costumes, emerging to greet Anastasia.

Just 11% of top talent from diverse background.
Just one-tenth of the BBC’s top on-screen talent is from a black, ethnic, minority background (Bame), the corporation’s Annual Report has revealed (reports Broadcast).
Bame stars make up 11% of the corporation’s top earners, with the likes of BBC Radio DJ Trevor Nelson and newsreader George Alagiah among the highest paid, with salaries of between £250,000 and £300,000.
Radio 4 Today programme presenter Mishal Husain earns between £200,000 and £250,000, less than half than her colleague John Humphrys’ £600,000-£650,000 salary.
Across the BBC, some 14% of its workforce is from a Bame background, in line with the national average.
Bame stars’ salaries pale in comparison with some of the corporation’s biggest earners, which include Radio 2 presenter and former Top Gear host Chris Evans, who topped the payroll with a salary of around £2.2m.

Women account for just a third of top earners.
Two thirds of the BBC on-screen talent earning more than £150k are men and only one third are women, the BBC Annual Report will reveal later today (reports Broadcast).
In an internal video for BBC staff seen by Broadcast, director general Tony Hall admitted that the disclosure of pay of named individuals, instigated by the BBC’s new charter, has highlighted the need to “go further and go faster” on issues of gender and diversity.
The BBC will tomorrow publish the salaries of on-screen talent paid for directly by the licence fee, who earn more than £150,000.

There is no fix. This is not an issue, it is just an absolute nonsense. ''Every judge is a professional dancer - they...

Scott Mills got more than he bargained for on his Radio 1 show today (October 26).
None other than Sir Terry Wogan phoned in to challenge the DJ to abseil down Blackpool Tower for BBC Children in Need.
Mills will be joined by Royal Marines for the 400ft abseil.
"I would say I'm really excited to be part of Children in Need this year, but to be honest, I am ridiculously nervous about what I am taking on," Mills noted.
"If facing my fear and abseiling the Blackpool Tower inspires even just one person to donate then it will be absolutely worth it... especially when I get to the ground!"
Viewers will see if Mills can conquer his fear of heights during the Children in Need show on November 13.
Wogan will be hosting this year's broadcast alongside Fearne Cotton, Tess Daly, Rochelle Humes and Nick Grimshaw.

'Strictly Come Dancing' contestants risk being thrown off the show if they are gripped by stage fright. Show host Tess Daly was stunned by the level of nerves shown by this year's contestants in the first week of the programme, and revealed there is a ''contingency plan'' in place if their fears get the better of them.
