It’s been a hot minute since actress Camila Banus left her post at Days of Our Lives (Dool) playing Gabi Hernandez. After 13 years with the soap, she announced her exit in May 2023, and Gabi’s last scenes on canvas were played out in November 2023.
Still, a recent social media post has fans buzzing, as Camila spills some tea about her former co-stars on the show and how “those snakes” treated her.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Why Did Camila Banus Leave Dool?
Banus’s exit from Days was pretty standard, with very little drama. When she announced she was leaving the show, she noted that it was time to move on to the next chapter of her life.
Still, about a month after she told fans about her exit, allegations of sexual harassment against former producer, Albert Alarr, surfaced, which culminated in a cast petition to have him removed.

“Days of our Lives” fans will see an unfamiliar face in a familiar role when soap newcomer Natasha Hall temporarily replaces Jessica Serfaty as Sloan Petersen for at least three episodes during the week of March 4-8, 2024.
Hall, best known for playing Yvette over three episodes in “The Kominsky Method” during the third season of the Netflix original series, will appear in scenes alongside several Salemites, including Jamie Martin Mann (Tate), Emily O Brien (Theresa) and Greg Vaughan (Eric), among others.
Soap Opera Digest, which first reported the news, did not provide a reason for the temporary recast. Meanwhile, the current storyline sees Sloan dealing with the guilt of knowing that Jude, the child she and Eric are raising, is actually Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Eric’s biological baby.

The long-time soap star, who played Nicole Walker on the Peacock series, has claimed she was fired for speaking out against Alarr. She said that while she had a “loyalty to Ken Corday and Corday Productions,” she needed to stand up for herself and other women on the show. Zucker addressed members of the press in Los Angeles and read from a prepared statement, where she alleged “female co-workers [were] being sexually harassed, violated, and degraded as women” by Alarr. “I myself have also been degraded, violated, and sexually harassed by Mr. Alarr,” she continued. “In March of 2023, several female employees were fired. There was complete dissolution of the all-female PR department. Female contracts were not renewed,...

Days of Our Lives star Arianne Zucker has filed a lawsuit claiming she and others were sexually harassed by the show’s co-executive producer, Albert Alarr.
Zucker played Nicole Walker on the NBC daytime soap opera for more than 25 years until her character was written off the show last year. Her lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, alleges Alarr, who exited the show last summer amid a misconduct investigation, excessively filmed aggressive sex scenes and threesome sequences. Per the complaint, he once told Zucker’s co-star, “Believe me, I’d love to switch positions with you” while filming a scene.
The suit also claims that Alarr routinely made sexual comments, tightly hugged Zucker and other women and bullied female employees. Alarr would allegedly sit in a booth to watch sex scenes being filmed, often offering directions like “fuck him like you were younger,” the complaint says.

Television was a nascent medium in 1949 when Bill Hayes made his debut on “Fireball Fun-For-All,” a zany comedy-variety series fronted by vaudeville comedians Ole Olsen and Chick Johnson.
The series only lasted three months, but that was long enough to set Hayes on the path to become a TV legend through his role as Doug Williams, a pillar of the venerable daytime series “Days of Our Lives” for more than five decades. Hayes, who died Jan. 12 at the age of 98, never forgot the invaluable training he learned from working in the early days of live TV.

Two former Days Of Our Lives stars, Farah Galfond and Lisa Rinna, are lending their support to the more than 25 current cast members who have signed a petition calling for the removal of longtime co-executive producer/director Albert Alarr following a misconduct investigation and two Deadline reports on some of the allegations.
“I’m not on the cast anymore but I would love to sign the petition in spirit,” Galfond wrote in a retweet of Deadline’s latest story. “These were my experiences too. It wasn’t until I switched shows that I realized not every set was like that.”
Galfond proceeded to share one experience working with Alarr as a director.
“I had the particular misfortune of having Alarr direct my first ever ‘love’ scene when I was 19,” she wrote. “He was new so I was already nervous not having one of the other directors that I was used to.

Exclusive: Emotions have been running high on the set of the long-running soap Days of Our Lives.
According to multiple sources, there has been shock, disbelief, disappointment and anger among cast and crew following the outcome of an internal investigation into misconduct allegations against longtime Days of Our Lives director/co-executive producer Albert Alarr.
Created by Ted and Betty Corday, Days of Our Lives is produced by the company they founded, Corday Productions, which is owned and run by their son, DoOL executive producer Ken Corday.
According to sources, the nine-week investigation, launched in March, was triggered by a complaint related to a recent round of layoffs. Filed by a female employee, it alleged that women had been disproportionally impacted by the cuts and were not receiving equal pay on the show, people close to the matter said.
The gender disparity of the recent staff reductions was particularly pronounced among cast members.

Time to get more sand for the hourglass. “Days of Our Lives” has been renewed by Peacock for two more seasons, which means the iconic soap opera will make it to at least its landmark 60th season.
“Days of Our Lives” moved to Peacock in September, having previously aired on NBC since 1965. “Days” was NBC’s longest-running drama series before switching to Peacock in 2022.
This new two-year deal for Seasons 59 and 60 reps a much swifter and calmer renewal for “Days” than it has experienced in recent years, when deal between NBC and Sony Pictures Television (which distributes the soap) seemed to always come down to the wire. As ratings declined for soaps, that has been a perennial issue at the networks (where the tally on broadcast nets now stands at just three — two on CBS and one on ABC).

The streaming era of Days of Our Lives will continue for a while longer.
Peacock — which became the home for the long-running soap opera when it left NBC last year — has ordered two more seasons of the series. The pickup will take Days of Our Lives through its 60th season. The show is the second longest-running daytime drama in American TV history, behind ABC’s General Hospital (which is currently in its 60th season).
Though hard data isn’t widely available (as is usually the case with streaming services), Peacock says Days of Our Lives has consistently ranked among its 10 most watched titles since originals started running there in September. The two most recent seasons are available on the streamer, along with a pair of miniseries featuring Days characters.

Ken Corday wasn't kidding when he promised this wouldn't be "your mother's Days of Our Lives."
Spoilers for fall in Salem are here as the Peacock era of the series begins, and if the show is as good as the video, you won't want to miss a minute.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 9-12-22 and beyond promise some exciting returns, some romance and intrigue, and some heartbreaking tragedy.
Streaming may be the way of the future, but Days of Our Lives appears to resemble the golden years of the 1980s more now that it's moved to Peacock.
Everything seems bigger. More romance, more over-the-top drama, and more supervillains wreaking havoc.
