Mr T Dispells A-Team Film Cameo

2 hours ago | ShockYa | See recent ShockYa news »

Actor and pop culture icon Mr. T has denied rumors that he’ll have a cameo role in the upcoming film remake of “The A-Team”. Mr. T told Latino Review that he’d been offered a cameo role similar to the ones that former A-Teamers Dwight Schultz and Dirk Bennett will have in the 2010 film, but turned it down. The film is being described by writer Michael Brandt as more in the vein of action films such as “Die Hard” and “The Bourne Identity” rather than the somewhat comedic and schlocky original series. The film, which stars Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, is slated for release June 11th, 2010. Stay [...] »

Martin Campbell Is Putting Together Award Winning Crew for The Green Lantern Production Team

6 hours ago | FusedFilm | See recent FusedFilm news »

A regular conversation that occurs between me and my blog buddies is how Martin Campbell, the director of The Green Lantern, plans to tackle the production of one of the most unique comic book adaptations ever. For those who are unaware the look and style of Gl is that of Iron Man meets Star Trek in terms of tone and action (it spends time between space and Earth) but there is the fantasy elements that put it as sort of a Lord of the Rings in space thus giving it that uniqueness that most other comic book adaptation don’t have.

Even though Martin Campbell is the director he has to rely on very talented members of the production to create and design these worlds. Well now Superhero Hype is reporting that many of the key crew members that are already on board, and there’s no lack of Oscars among them. »

Sam Worthington vs. Ryan Reynolds for Flash Gordon?

8 hours ago | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

News on a new Flash Gordon movie has been scarce and we’ve not heard of any official developments since nearly a year and a half ago when Neil Moritz acquired the rights to the film and Breck Eisner was picked to direct. That changes this week as rumors surface of who is being looked at to play the lead role. Hollyscoop is reporting that an insider of theirs informed them that Sam Worthington and Ryan Reynolds are up for the role of Flash against two others.

For those unfamiliar with the classic sci-fi tale, the story of Flash Gordon takes place when our planet is hit with a meteor strike. We find out through the story that these meteors are weapons from the planet Mongo sent by Ming the Merciless, their evil ruler. Flash Gordon and friends make their way to the planet and adventure ensues.

Our 20 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2010

28 December 2009 8:18 AM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

As we come to the end of 2009, it’s time to look forward and put together our list of our most anticipated movies of 2010.

Last year could have been worse – 5 of our 10 most anticipated movies of 2009 turned out to live up to our expectations (including Watchmen, Up, and Star Trek), while the other five ranged from mediocre (Public Enemies) to downright disappointing (Terminator Salvation, Wolverine, Transformers 2). Of course “most anticipated” does not necessarily mean “movies we think are going to be awesome” – it’s “movies we hope are going to be awesome.”

This year the task was made a lot easier thanks to our senior editor Kofi Outlaw putting together Screen Rant’s 2010 movie preview, giving us a one-stop list from which to gather the biggies. While last year was a group effort, this year I’ve decided to pull rank and come up with the list myself, with »

Mr. T Will Not Have A Cameo In 'The A-Team'

28 December 2009 8:00 AM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

You can't fool us, we know you're excited for "The A-Team." When director Joe Carnahan brings his modern interpretation of the classic '80s action TV series to the big screen next summer, you're going to feel compelled to buy a ticket.

Maybe it's the chance to see that pimped-out supervan of theirs again. Maybe it's the players, a well-cast ensemble that includes Liam Neeson as Hannibal, Bradley Cooper as Faceman, Sharlto Copley as "Howling Mad" Murdock and Ufc champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as B.A. Baracus, the role made famous by Mr. T. Or maybe you're excited at the prospect of seeing some of the old Team assemble for cameos. Well... it's probably best if you temper that excitement a little bit.

We already know that Dwight Schultz, the original Murdock, will appear in the film. We also know (via Cinematical) that Faceman actor Dirk Benedict will show up as well. »

The A-Team Won't Have a Mr. T Cameo

28 December 2009 7:50 AM, PST | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

The A-Team movie will see cameos from TV series actors Dwight Schultz (the original "Howling" Mad Murdock) and Dirk Benedict (the original Faceman). However, LatinoReview report that Mr. T will not make an appearance in the movie.

According to the report, the iconic actor was not interested in returning, since he would not be appearing as B.A. Baracus, the role he originated in the TV series (Quinton "Rampage" Jackson will play that role in the movie). He also didn't want the movie to be marketed around his cameo if he wouldn't be playing a major role. Mr. T claims that he has "nothing against the cast" or the big screen adaptation, he just isn't interested in a cameo.

The A-Team will open June 11, 2010, and stars Jackson, along with Liam Neeson as Hannibal, Bradley Cooper as Faceman, and Sharlto Copley as Murdock. Joe Carnahan directs.

Warner Bros. Wins 2009 Box Office Crown

28 December 2009 6:54 AM, PST | AMC - Script to Screen | See recent AMC - Script to Screen news »

It's been a huge year for the movies. Even as studios scale back and reassess production budgets, moviegoers continue to pile into theaters in droves. Christmas weekend will go down in history as the best domestic box office weekend of all time (at least for now) and now movie studio Warner Bros. gets to claim another record: best domestic gross for a single studio.

Just last year, Warner Bros. set a new record, taking in $1.78 billion domestically, thanks to huge hits like "The Dark Knight." This year the studio has managed to cross the $2 billion mark -- and there are still a few days left before the end of the year!

What's interesting about Warner Bros. record this year is that if you look over their release slate -- as CinemaBlend has -- you'll notice that the results are the culmination of some surprise hits, coupled with some decent performers. »

Star-studded movie "Valentine's Day" has got another sneak peek, this time through a featurette which features scenes from the film as well as commentary from its cast. In addition, the clip also previews Taylor Swift's new song "Today Was A Fairytale" which is picked up as one of the movie's soundtracks.

Chronicling five slightly interconnecting stories occurring during one Valentine's Day in Los Angeles, "Valentine's Day" looks like another intertwining romantic comedy "Love Actually". This movie is directed by "The Princess Diaries" and "Georgia Rule" helmer Garry Marshall.

Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts, Topher Grace, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Biel, Taylor Lautner and Emma Roberts are among the cast members. The movie will be released in theaters across the U.S. on February 12, 2010, while the soundtrack compilation will hit stores across the country three days prior.

The 'T' in 'A-Team' Doesn't Stand for Mr. T

27 December 2009 9:05 PM, PST | CinemaSpy | See recent CinemaSpy news »

Perhaps this is a good thing. While the popular trend is to entice former television stars to participate in cameos for the feature films based on the series in which they once starred, it's a bit of a "device," after all. And sometimes that "device" can actually take you right out of the film. Starsky & Hutch (2004) was certainly awful on it's own, but the tacked-on addition of original series stars Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul at the end only served to punctuate how dreadful the previous 90 minutes had truly been by making us long for the original series.

Seems Mr. T is wise enough to understand all this. Speaking recently with Latino Review — and quashing rumors that he might appear in the forthcoming A-Team feature film — Mr. T made it quite clear that he has no interest in appearing in the big screen outing…and was very clear about »

The Hangover Unrated Blu-ray Review

27 December 2009 4:03 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Few films have come out the box recently like The Hangover. Sure there have been films that have become a part of the conversation, and the Apatow films were hundred million dollar pictures, but The Hangover was a phenomenon. Granted I live in a world where people don’t make “fat Jesus” jokes any more. As part of the target demo for this, I’m happy my friends aren’t the guys quoting this film ad nauseum, but I feel like this film managed to hit the nerves that Austin Powers did in maximum quotability, so my residual like may be tempered by other’s exhaustion. My review of The Hangover Blu-ray after the fold.
