Today’s White House press briefing was packed with headlines. Chief economic adviser Gary Cohen played Dodge the Question when asked, four times, about President Donald Trump having claimed previous day that his tax-reform plan would not help him. Claim appears not to be true, so Cohen went with stout evasion. “It will benefit the middle class," Cohen answered, four times, insisting that — and not Trump’s tax situation — is "what American taxpayers care about. They care…...

Baseball games have gone through a fascinating evolution. In the beginning, they were minimalist masterpieces (gamers of a certain age still talk about the greatness of "Rbi Baseball"), but then got bogged down by detail-oriented simulations (for about 10 years in there, these games were no fun at all). But by appealing to both stat-minded baseball obsessives and more casual fans who just want to see pretty stadiums and knock around homers (as well as some healthy competition from 2K Sports' baseball franchise), the "Mlb: The Show" series has become required playing every spring. What does the 2011 version bring to the lineup?
The Basics
The first truly great American sport (suck it, lacrosse) doesn't change its rules very often, but the style of play and approach to the game is continuously evolving. This year, the big headline on "The Show" is less a presentational one and more a mechanical one: A...

Jerry Seinfeld took to the broadcast booth during Wednesday night's game between his beloved New York Mets and the Detroit Tigers, delivering four-and-a-half innings of play-by-play and, in the process, continuing his rather amazing feud with Lady Gaga.
Earlier this week, Seinfeld called Gaga "a jerk" after she flipped the bird at photographers during a June 10 Mets home game. The comedian also took issue with team staff at Citi Field for ushering the pop star into his empty private box seats.
"You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we're living in now?" Seinfeld admonished on New York's Wfan radio. "This woman is a jerk. I hate her. I can't believe they put her in my box,...

Jerry Seinfeld made his second rip at eccentric singer Lady GaGa. After making it clear that he hated GaGa and even calling her "a jerk", the 54-year-old funnyman urged her to "make a nice apology to the Met fans."
Seinfeld, who joined announcer Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez as a commentator for the Mets in the booth for 4 1/2 innings on Wednesday night, June 23, further said, "Come on. We had her as a guest and then I'm willing to forget the whole thing." And Seinfeld apparently still had more words for GaGa, saying "Now I think it's fair to say we're all big fans of Lady GaGa."
"Lame out-of-it white guys in their mid fifties, is her core audience. But I'm very protective of my Met fans. I love my Met fans. And I did not like the finger. It was disrespectful," the "Pros & Cons" actor continued. "We don't understand the...
