Oscar winning director Steven Spielberg will be honoured with the Eva Monley Award for his extraordinary contribution to the art and craft of filmmaking.
The Eva Monley Award will be presented to Spielberg by the Location Manager Guild International, a professional organisation, during its 10th annual Lmgi Awards gala on August 26 at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage.
The announcement was made by Lmgi Awards Committee co-chairs John Rakich and Robin Citrin.
The Guild’s Eva Monley Award is given to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the art and craft of filmmaking through their commitment to the use of real locations.
The Awards also recognise outstanding achievement in filmmaking, television, and commercial production worldwide, as well as film commissions.
Spielberg isn’t scheduled to appear in person to collect the award, as per ‘The Hollywood Reporter’.

Costume Designer Charlese Antoinette Jones has signed for representation by M88. Throughout her design career, Jones has worked on acclaimed films like Shaka King’s “Judas and the Black Messiah,” the Whitney Houston biopic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” Ben Affleck’s “Air” and the upcoming Apple TV thriller “The Instigators.”
“I’m so excited to be working with M88 as I continue to expand my career,” said Jones in a statement. “I’m especially appreciative of [James] Swoope for his unwavering support and championing me as a multifaceted creative.”
In 2019, Jones launched the Black Designer Database, a digital fashion house that aims to bring exposure and support to Black designers by connecting them with consumer and media opportunities. She also runs her own jewelry brand Char Ant Gold.
As she signs on with M88, Jones will continue to be represented by WME and Frankfurth Kurnit Klein & Selz, and maintains her membership to the CDG.

Gravitas Ventures has acquired the global rights to Isaac H. Eaton’s 2023 crime thriller “Welcome to Redville” starring Jake Manley, Highdee Kuan and Chris Elliott. Gravitas, The Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company, has set the film’s VOD release for August 29.

Actor and activist Alyssa Milano has signed on to executive produce the upcoming documentary “For The Animals: A Dogumentary,” directed by Sadhvi Siddhali Shree and Sadhvi Anubhuti.
Milano previously teamed with Anubhuti and Shree for the production of their 2022 documentary “Surviving Sex Trafficking.” The film will be distributed by Filmhub toward the end of 2023.
“For The Animals” is a feature-length documentary about a small group of animal rights activists in Houston, Texas, dedicated to saving the lives of stray cats and dogs living on the street. The group is led by twin sisters Tena Lundquist Faust and Tama Lundquist who are committed to helping stray animals Texas. Proceeds from the film will be used to help companion animals find homes and contribute to their welfare.
“Working with Sadhvi Siddhali Shree and Sadhvi Anubhuti is always so fulfilling because their projects beautifully combine my love of filmmaking with my activism,” stated Milano.
