Vinton Studios has hired Mike Cachuela as director of story for feature films. The appointment reunites Cachuela with longtime collaborator Henry Selick, who is directing the feature film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's children's book Coraline for Bill Mechanic's Pandemonium Films and Vinton Studios. Cachuela most recently was storyboard artist at Pixar Animation Studios on The Incredibles and Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. "Having someone of Mike's caliber join our feature film division is testimony to our commitment to make Vinton Studios a major producer of full-length animated feature films for the global market," Vinton Studios CEO Jeff Farnath said.
