A 6-year-old boy remains in critical condition after his 4-year-old neighbor shot him in the head with a rifle in the younger boy’s backyard with a gun he found in his parents’ home. So sad.
After an unidentified 4-year-old boy found a .22-caliber rifle in his home, he then shot his 6-year-old neighbor while the boys were playing in his yard in Toms Park, N. J.
Horrific Accident Angers Neighbors
The younger child’s parents called the police after the “tragic incident,” Police Chief Michael Mastronardy told ABC News. “Right now, we’re keeping this child in our prayers, and I ask everyone to do the same.”
The accident that left the 6-year-old in critical condition at Jersey Shore Medical Center has upset neighbor Debi Coto.
“I’m sad for the children involved and their families, but I’m angry with whoever owns that gun and allowed a little...

The stands at the Wimbledon tennis championships in London this week have been filled with famous faces despite the rain. Yesterday, Brooklyn Decker cheered on her husband, Andy Roddick, as he beat Jamie Baker. During a rain delay, Brooklyn headed indoors to hang out with doubles player Bob Bryan's baby daughter Micaela. The royal box at Wimbledon has also been full with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, watching Roger Federer take on Italy's Fabio Fognini. Today, though, Pippa Middleton had the privilege of sitting in the royal seats with her brother James. Pippa wore a navy Orla Kiely dress and jacket to check out multiple matches on Center Court. Last year, Pippa brought boyfriend Alex Loudon to the tennis event, but this time it was all about family since Carole Middleton was also on hand. Kate attended in 2011 as well, and we're hoping the winner of PopSugar 100 makes an appearance this year!

Since The Week in Sports began as a feature on AfterElton.com we've kept our queer eye on the photo wires to bring you a weekly compilation of the most arresting images of male athleticisim from around the world.
2009 is coming to a close, so in this final installment we thought we'd look back and gather together the best of the best. Hence The Year in Sports. (Well, technicaly the half-year in sports, since we only started this feature in July.)
Now we know not every football fan is also a tennis fan, and some rugby fanatics cannot abide men's gymnastics. So this time out we've helpfully sorted the photos by category. You can jump to whatever photo collection you want by the table of contents below. Oh, and in addition to the major sports, we've got a few special photo categories that we hope you'll enjoy!

We thought we'd try something different around here by turning our discerning queer eye towards the sports world, so in last Thursday's The Week in Sports we sifted through hundreds of wire photos looking for the most arresting images of male athleticism produced that week from around the world.
We thought it would probably be a one-off, our own gay Sports Illustrated special edition, but you guys clearly like your male athletes (both obscure and famous) and asked for more. You even suggested some of your favorite sports stars and requested photos of them.
We really did look for the names (and teams) you mentioned, but the caveat is photos have to come from the past week in order to appear in this feature, thus we couldn't go back and, say, get a hot photo of Gabe Kapler or Ryan Braun from last year. Much as we'd like to — those guys are smokin'!

A legal fight over Marilyn Monroe's last semi-nude pictures has been settled, it has been announced.
Seven images of the blonde icon taken six weeks before she died, which became known as The Last Sitting, were the subject of the lawsuit filed in September by photographer Bert Stern against three other photographers. Stern believed that the three stole the pictures after he lent them to a magazine.
Stern said he lent the pictures to the now defunct magazine Eros in 1962. However, he realized the pictures were missing when he was approached by Michael Weiss and Donald Penny, who had the images and wanted to license them.
The two said Robert Bryan, another photographer, found the film in a trash bin in Manhattan in 1970. He then kept it in a shoe box as memorabilia for the past years.
