Tom Brierton (b. June 30. 1957, Rushville, Illinois) is a filmmaker/screenwriter who specializes in stop-motion animation. A graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Brierton holds a master of music degree in theory and composition, and has written a few symphonies, short subject film scores, and miscellaneous ensemble pieces. His production company, Knossos Films, is developing a feature-animated film, The Labyrinth, which is based on the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. Brierton is also a veteran armature machinist for stop-motion animation puppets, and has sold armatures throughout the world.
