- Richard Blade started in radio in Bakersfield in 1980, and worked his way up to becoming the number 1 morning-drive DJ in Los Angeles on KROQ FM. Richard hosted multiple TV shows in the eighties including MV3, Video One and VideoBeat - which he also wrote and produced. He was a correspondent on Paramount's short-lived afternoon show, "America", a host of Andy Friendly's "Rock'n' Roll Evening News" which was nationally syndicated, and one of the original hosts of the cable network, "Movietime." Richard appeared on TV as an actor on "Square Pegs" in a recurring role, and in "Hunter," "Divorce Court," and "Throb." In movies, he co-starred in "Girls Just Want To Have Fun," "101," "Crystal Heart," and starred in "Spellcaster." In 2000, he moved to the Caribbean to run a dive shop, but in 2003 moved back and was recruited by VH1 to produce both seasons of "Bands Reunited." He was also talent consultant on the second season of "Don't Forget The Lyrics". Richard wrote and co-starred in the Lifetime movie "Long Lost Son" with Chace Crawford and Gabrielle Anwar. Since 2004 Richard has had his own nationwide daily show on Sirius Satellite radio and can be heard every afternoon from 12pm - 6pm (PST) on SiriusXM 33, 1st Wave. In 2017 Richard wrote his autobiography "World In My Eyes" which became a nationwide best seller. Since then, he has written three more books, all novels, which have each topped Amazon's sales charts - "SPQR", "Birthright" and "Imposters."
