Has worked as a newscaster at WABC-TV in New York, first from 1962 to
1968 and again since 1970, most famously with the late Roger Grimsby until
1986.
At the time he started out in broadcasting in the 1950s, his surname
was pronounced 'Boy-tel'. When he first joined WABC-TV in 1962, the
pronunciation of his surname was changed to 'Byoo-tel' and remained
that way forever after.
