Barbara Bentree is a multiple Award-Winning Filmmaker and Musician living in Santa Fe, NM. As a Vocalist, Bentree took First Place in the prestigious Hennessey Jazz Search with her acapella vocal group "Terra Nova."
Barbara has directed theatre companies, and produced music for television shows. She was most notably a part of "The New Mickey Mouse Club" production team on The Disney Channel where she auditioned and selected Ryan Gosling, Kerri Russell, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera for the show, to name only a few.
Now an Award-Winning Filmmaker, Bentree Directed and Produced "Dave Grusin: Not Enough Time," a multiple Award-Winning Documentary Film that appeared in numerous film festivals all over the world and qualified for the 2019 Oscars and Grammy competitions. Barbara also Directed and Produced the Documentary Feature titled "Origami In The Garden Film" that was nominated for at 21 Film Festivals and won 18 Awards.
Bentree's films have won multiple awards in the following categories; "Best Documentary," "Best Woman Filmmaker," "Best Inspirational Film," "Audience Favorite," "Best Editing," "Best Feature," "Best Music Score" and numerous others.
Ms. Bentree is developing multiple screenplays, and a web series. She is a member of SAG / AFTRA and has been a Board Member for New Mexico Women In Film, The Academy for New Musical Theatre, and a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences
