Priyanka Chopra-Produced Doc Debuting On Prime Video India
Women of My Billion (Womb), a documentary about the forms of violence faced by women in India, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video India on May 3. Produced by Apoorva Bakshi and Monisha Thyagarajan’s Awedacious Originals in association with Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ Purple Pebble Pictures, the documentary follows protagonist Srishti Bakshi on a walking pilgrimage across India – spanning 3,800 km over 240 days – to talk to women from various backgrounds about their struggles and dreams. “Women have borne the brunt of gender bias for far too long, enduring a silent struggle against entrenched social injustices that seek to suppress their voices. With Womb, the aim is to transcend these struggles – to be a beacon of hope,” said Chopra Jonas, Producer at Purple Pebble Pictures. “Womb is not merely a depiction of pain and suffering, but a rallying cry and call for solidarity and action.

Steven Moffat has said that Sherlock actress Una Stubbs, who has died at the age of 84, was an “extraordinary” actress who was “the sweetest, kindest, funniest person”.
Speaking to Times Radio, the Sherlock creator recalled he had wanted to hire someone who could “punch through” in the role of Mrs. Hudson. “She owned any scene she was in,” he said. “You couldn’t take your eyes off her the moment she was there. She was fond of the fact her part in Sherlock was limited screen time, maximum impact.”
He added that him and co-creator Mark Gatiss had written extra scenes for Mrs. Hudson just to get more of Stubbs’ performance in the show, “One episode was coming in short, it was far too short, and all we did was sit and write extra bits for Mrs. Hudson because we loved doing it and no one complained that Mrs. Hudson,...

ITV has hit a mighty milestone - first launched on September 22, 1955, the home of The X Factor, Downton Abbey and more is 60 years old today.
In its six decades, ITV has produced some of the biggest, best and most memorable TV shows in British broadcasting history.
But while everyone else is talking up Gladiators, Coronation Street and Blind Date, we wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate a few of the channel's less celebrated gems.
1. The Krypton Factor (1977-1995)
"Television's Toughest Quiz!" boomed the announcer back when the show launched in 1977. And even almost forty years later, nothing has quite matched Granada's brutal search for a UK superperson since.
Resembling a cross between a byzantine parlour game and a Soviet-era punishment for shoplifting, each week saw four more contestants subjected to a variety of cruel and unusual tests – from terrifying memory tests to landing a Boeing 747 (albeit on a simulator).
But worst of all?...

Jake Quickenden lolling seductively in the surf, Nadia Forde beaming in a red bikini, and poor Edwina Currie kissing a koala called Rogue before he urinated all over her - these are just some of the cheesiest pre-jungle photoshoots.
Unbelievably, cheesier and even more staged snapshots of former I'm a Celebrity contestants over the years exist, and we've found them.
Let's celebrate with 13 of the silliest and seriously staged shoots from before and after the jungle below:

We asked Den Of Geek’s writers to recommend brilliant comedy shows that deserve to have more of a fuss made about them. Here they are...
Banging a drum about stuff we love is more or less our remit on Den Of Geek - hence what many readers have started referring to as the ‘inexplicably regular' appearance of Statham, squirrels and Harold Bishop from Neighbours on these pages.
To that end then, we asked our writers which comedy shows (past and present, UK or otherwise, on TV, radio, or online…) deserved more praise, and here are the ones they chose. You might already like them too, or you might discover something new to dig out and enjoy. That’s the fun of it.
Please note that this list isn’t ranked in any order, nor is it exhaustive. It’s compiled from the opinions of a group of different people,...

Detectorists has been renewed for a second series by BBC Four.
The Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones sitcom will return next year, following high viewing figures for a comedy on the channel.
The series follows two friends and metal detecting enthusiasts Andy (Crook) and Lance (Jones), as they dream of finding a priceless Saxon hoard.
Series one also starred Rachael Stirling, Aimee-Ffion Edwards and Lucy Benjamin.
Writer and director Crook said: "I couldn't be happier with how Detectorists has gone down and the response it has got from audiences. The opportunity to meet these characters again and tell some more of their stories is very exciting."
BBC Four editor Cassian Harrison said: "I'm so pleased that we're going to be able to bring the Detectorists back - it was a perfect slice of BBC Four comedy, beautifully written and observed, wry and movingly performed, with real depth to its entrancing world.

Developer Level-5 has published a whopping five entries in the hit DS and 3Ds Professor Layton series, with the sixth already out in Japan. However, a new spinoff entry in the series has been both announced and released, but not on a Nintendo platform. For this new title, Layton Brothers Mystery Room, Level-5 has jumped ship to iOS, with the game available for newer iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad models.
Whereas Professor Layton is a mostly lighthearted series with each game’s story revolving around a series of brainteasers and logic puzzles, Mystery Room takes a decidedly darker turn, following Layton’s son, Alfendi, and his assistant, Lucy Baker, through a series of murder mysteries. Gameplay primarily revolves around investigating crime scenes, discovering clues, and interrogating suspects to discover the culprit, not dissimilar from the Ace Attorney series.

Ellie Rose is a film from director Tristan Versluis, which has a second title, Not Alone. This film completed production way back in 2009 and now, this b-movie fan has found the first trailer for Ellie Rose, which is full of gruesome gore and family feuds. The undeniable quality of nominees and winners at last night’s British Independent Film Awards paints a picture of a vibrant, healthy British film industry.
And while the present state of that industry is rightly being celebrated it is time to look to the future and one of the films to look out for is Not Alone from writer/director Tristan Versluis and producer Andy Thompson.
The synopsis is: A damaged emotional Eli Rose arrives at an old long forgotten family cabin along the broken coastline. Arriving unprepared and packed with few supplies she seems anxious at either leaving or someone else arriving. The house abandoned years ago still holds most of its original decor and memories providing us with hints toward a shattered family, which once filled the space.
Plagued by the reoccurring nightmare of the violent murder of her family, Eli starts to understand her reasons for being there.

After a literally vomit-inducing task last night (you never looked better, Kim), we’re back for some more culinary adventures courtesy of those psychotic producers of I’m A Celebrity.
And it looks like the post-Jordan peace has finally broken. Who’s in the middle of this catfight? Sabrina and Woodburn, naturally. Not taking sides, but I’m pretty sure whatever it was, it was Kim’s fault. Here we go…
Actually, it looks like the root cause is that the three potential evictees are nervous about getting booted tonight. The tension’s bubbling over after the phone lines got re-opened for Jimmy, Sam and Sabrina.
Jimmy, by the way, is the favourite to go tonight. Dull snooker players finish last and all that. I’m joking of course, but some of the foliage in the camp has shown more charisma than Mr White.
Jimmy volunteers for the next bushtucker trial.

Lucy Benjamin, the first star to be evicted from ITV’s I’m A Celebrity, has admitted that she didn’t have any sympathy for Katie Price in the jungle.
Katie faced a Bushtucker trial every day she was on the show but Lucy said that she was happy to let Katie do them, so that she wouldn’t have to.
Lucy told GMTV: “I didn’t feel sorry for her, because it meant I didn’t have to get to do the bush tucker trials, so I was just happy that she got to do them.”
When asked if she felt Katie had been an overbearing presence on the show Lucy replied:
“I’d be shocked if it came across that way because basically it was such a tight-knit camp, Katie came in – everybody welcomed her with open arms, and no, I mean I didn’t get that feeling at all.

Lucy Benjamin has claimed that her former I'm A Celebrity... campmate Katie Price is a "law unto herself". The ex-EastEnders actress said that she was amazed by the glamour model's ability to ignore criticism from Kim Woodburn in the Australian jungle. "She is a law unto herself. When Kim started to have a go at her, she didn't care. I would've been mortified," Benjamin told Digital Spy. "Katie (more)...

Howdy, Unreality TV readers! We’re planning a night of I’m A Celebrity fun and games and wouldn’t it be cool if Alex Reid showed up in the jungle anyway and proposed to Sam Fox instead?
Yes, we’re resuming our liveblog after a hard-partying weekend and two-day hangover. Yes, Unreality TV was very drunk, did some dancing and needed a couple of early nights to recover! All the same, we’re devastated that Lucy Benjamin got her ass voted out of the jungle.
So, bear with me as I get reacquainted with the camp and work out who I love and who I just like as friends.
First task…
Let’s cut straight to the first task – Stuart Manning and Gino Di Unpronoucable elect themselves. It’s a good job Jordan isn’t still around, because there’s no way in hell she could fit her ginormous...

Lucy Benjamin has become the first celebrity to be voted off ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The former Eastenders actress found herself up against remaining exile camp mates, Gino D’Acampo and Sam Fox.
When Ant and Dec said she would be leaving, Lucy replied: “I told you. It has been a pleasure.”
She said she had “mixed emotions” about leaving first.
“It is not great to be the first one out but I got to get to see my bubba and Rich (her husband Richard Taggart). Someone had to go first. It’s fine.”
We are a bit gutted by Lucy’ departure and wish that the public had been able to choose between all the camp mates. We would have voted to save Lucy and crossed our fingers that Stuart or Sabrina would go!

Man fans of the gorgeous Sam Fox, will be disappointed to hear that she may be losing her greatest assets. During her time in the the I’m A Celebrity jungle, Sam is sure that her boobs are shrinking!
Sam told her pal Lucy Benjamin: “In my heyday I was a 36D.Just before I came in here I was a 36C but I think I’m going to be a 32B when I get out of here.”
Luckily for all the male viewers, Lucy still has more than a handful to ogle!

The first I’m A Celebrity eviction is almost upon us and the three celebrities up for the public vote are Sam Fox, Lucy Benjamin or Gino D’Acampo.
Kim, George and Stuart managed to escape exile and therefore the vote, leaving three of the best contestants behind.
Unreality TV doesn’t want to lose any of these three, we’d much rather see Stuart or Sabrina go, but if we have to choose, we’d say send Sam home! We’d love to hear your thoughts on the subject, leave your comments below.

George Hamilton is immune from the first public vote-off after winning the final bush battle. The news means that Gino D'Acampo, Sam Fox and Lucy Benjamin will all face the first vote, which will take place tomorrow. Before the bush battle, Fox said that she wasn't ready to go home yet, while Benjamin explained: "I'm worried that it'll be me that goes if I don't win today, so I think it's my last chance of staying in, because I think out of the group I'll probably be the first one to go." The exiled celebrities were asked to take part (more)...

Kim Woodburn has won the second bush battle and has returned to base camp. The How Clean Is Your House? star also received immunity from the first public vote after her victory. The exiled celebrities had taken part in a game called 'Gone Fishing', in which they had to guard a rod and stop its float from touching the water by winding the reel. Sam Fox was the first celebrity to lose the contest, followed by George Hamilton, who had taken time out to go to the toilet. Meanwhile, Gino D'Acampo was disappointed when he was disqualified. Bad enough that they have to use a stinky chemical toilet whilst in the jungle but to make matters worse, the I’m A Celebrity contestants now have to sit in someone else’s wee to do their dirty business.
Ex-EastEnder’s actress Lucy Benjamin expressed her disgust saying : “It’s like the worse public lavatory that hasn’t been cleaned for 100 years that you have ever experienced in your life.”
Stuart Manning moaned: “Someone keeps going in there and keeping the seat up.
“Someone pee-ed on the seat as well, which is really annoying me.”
Lucy added: “When I sat on the toilet all the backs of my legs were wet. I had someone else’s wee on my legs and I had to rub it with a towel.”...

Katie Price threatened to leave the jungle last night, after the public voted for her to complete her fifth, consecutive Bushtucker trial.
We loved how astute Lucy Benjamin and Kim Woodburn were when they commented:
Lucy: “I think Katie loves the attention. That’s what she’s about. She’s an exhibitionist. She likes standing there in her little see through knickers and stuff. She’s alright. She can handle it.
Kim: “She came in her to get loads of publicity and by jove she’s getting it so don’t ask for what you want because you might get it and I think that probably she loves it.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

Friday night, and the relentless blogging of I’m A Celebrity continues apace. Your comments, as always, are appreciated.
Thankfully, after a false start over the last few days, Celebrity actually started to get interesting last night with some bitchy moments between Kim and Justin and some full-on craziness from Joe Bugner, who is fast becoming the ‘legend’ of the 2009 series. George Hamilton is still excused from being interesting on medical grounds.
And so we join the camp(s). The luxury camp are waking up blissfully rested, while the exiles are looking groggy and rough. SamFox has got a tic, and it’s not a nervous one. Stuart Manning has a little rummage in his nether regions for bugs. It’s important to check that regularly anyway, readers.

Katie Price has been granted immunity from the first elimination on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!. The glamour girl, who has become viewers' regular target for bushtucker trials since joining the jungle, shares the privilege with Colin McAllister, Justin Ryan, Sabrina Washington, Jimmy White and Joe Bugner on the ITV1 show. The development came after the six contestants competed in a challenge against Lucy Benjamin, Gino D'Acampo, Stuart Manning, George Hamilton, Sam Fox and Kim Woodburn when the campmates were split (more)...

ITV's Tuesday edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here dropped to 8.5m (25.2%), losing 1.3m since the ninth run began on Sunday. The third instalment, which aired on ITV1 in the hour from 9pm, saw Katie Price unsuccessfully complete the Deathly Burrows bushtucker trial, while Lucy Benjamin and Jimmy White completed the latest celebrity chest. The first episode opened with a respectable 9.76m (36.1%), while the second logged 9.39m (36.2%). Just before the jungle antics, John Sergeant's latest On The Tourist Trail interested 3.18m (13.5%) from 8pm. Soap star Lucy Benjamin and snooker player Jimmy White were successful in the first celebrity chest task of the series. The duo were challenged to pour water into a bucket, using a rope-controlled long piece of wood. When the bucket was full, an attached key was lowered towards them. Both celebrities got drenched by falling water, but the duo triumphed in the challenge and headed back to camp with their first chest. "It was harder than it looked, I got saturated. So did Jimmy but we got there in the end," said Benjamin. White added: "I didn't get it straight away, Lucy thought it was a swing." When they (more)...

Before we start our I’m A Celebrity liveblog post, let me get this whinge out of the way. I love boobs. I’m a boob man. The bigger the better is my rule of thumb. But I generally draw the line when said boobs can be seen from space.
And I do appreciate that it’s Pricey’s (self-inflicted) handicap that her cleavage cannot be contained. But if I never lay eyes on that silicone canyon again, it’ll be too soon.
Anyway, on to tonight’s show and doddery screen legend George Hamilton is rapturous about his fellow campers. And in return, his companions are rallying around him, washing his clothes and everything. Does he do anything by himself? He’s yet again exempt from tasks on medical grounds. He’s no George Takei, is he?

G’day all! It’s our second day of I’m A Celebrity, and we’re aghast that Katie Price is the focal point of this episode.
But first, a comedy montage of celebrity flatulence as the gassy Z-listers snore, fart and grunt their way through the night. Well, except for delicate Camilla, who has a problem with the insects. Annoying Kim clucks her way through the morning, alternating between mother hen and stern headmistress. She wants everybody to smile through the experience, despite being the #1 source of the celebrity frowns.
Anyway, later on Kim tells they Great British Public that “they can all toss off”. Meaning that she called the viewers wankers. There’s some concern about how she’ll accomplish the task with her flyaway boobies, and some thoughtful celebs ask if she has a sports bra. Of course, they stop short of offering their own sports bras,...

Ah jaysus is there no let-up this evening? Welcome to our live coverage of the I’m A Celebrity 2009 launch night!
Yes Anthony and Declan are Back! The kangaroo balls are in the frying pan. My favourite gay interior designers are in a helicopter and that rancid attention-seeking freakbag is returning to the jungle. Yes, Miss Price, I’m talking about you.
Ok, things kick off with the celebs meeting up on a yacht. First we see Sam Fox, then Colin and Justin. Then awful Kim from Kim and Aggie the famous scrubbers. She’s followed by Gino Unpronouncable, a TV chef I’ve never heard of. Then Lucy Benjamin (I quite fancy her, though she looks more grey than blonde tonight), then Stuart Manning off Hollyoaks and Mis Teeq singer Sabrina Washington. She’s pretty. Then 80’s snooker ace Jimmy White.
Some dancer, Camilla Dallerup, who’s defected from Strictly to the ITV.

I’m A Celebrity contestants Lucy Benjamin, Colin McAllister and Sabrina Washington were not happy bunnies on tonight’s show once they realised that they had to complete a tandem jump. With their next stop coming into view it was Lucy who quickly realised that they will be jumping out of a plane. Having revealed a fear of heights early on Sabrina screamed; “Oh God no we can’t jump out of a plane!”
As they left the helicopter, fear began to creep into all three celebrities when they were informed that they would be jumping out of the plane at 12 000 feet.
A scared Lucy then said: “I’m very nervous about it I think I’ve gone into shock.”
Having boarded the plane, they climbed ever nearer to their jump Colin attempted to lighten the mood by saying : “ …this is better than botox.”

Lucy Benjamin has claimed that she hopes to "find inner strength" during her stint on I'm A Celebrity.... The former EastEnders actress, who counts Anthony Cotton and Jim Davidson among her celebrity supporters, said that she wants to see how far she is willing to go in the bushtucker trials. "I want to see how far I can push myself in terms of the kind of place you find yourself in mentally and seeing if I can go through with the bushtucker trials and living with complete strangers without it sending you over the edge," she said. "I am hoping that I will find some inner strength when I am out there, but right now, there is a lot of fear." Benjamin, who has phobias about flying insects, birds, butterflies and moths, confessed that her biggest fear is being away from her daughter Bessie for such a long time. "Three...
