Twenty-five years after Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Boogie Nights” premiered, star Mark Wahlberg still has a prized prop in his possession: Dirk Diggler’s massive prosthetic penis.
During an April 12 appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Wahlberg confirmed that the foot-long prop is in his home to this day.
“Is it true that you still have the prosthetic you wore in ‘Boogie Nights’?” DeGeneres asked.
“Yes, yes. It’s in a safe locked away,” Wahlberg replied. “It’s not something I could leave out. All of a sudden my kids are looking for a spare phone charger and pull that thing out and go, ‘What the heck is this?!’ It wouldn’t be a good look.”
Wahlberg noted that his daughter has watched the film, but has yet to “have the conversation with me” about the iconic sex scenes. The “Daddy’s Home” actor previously joked that he may sell the...

Stuart Long (Mark Wahlberg) in Columbia Pictures’ Father Stu.
Now here’s a new studio film release that seems a perfect fit for this time of year. After a bone-chilling winter, spring has finally, though rather slowly, arrived. For many folks, and nature-enthusiasts, it’s a time of rebirth and renewal. In the latter category, and in the wake of the big “health events”, lots of folks are considering a “do-over” or even a “fresh start”, mainly switching their line of work and professions. This aforementioned new flick has one of the most startling, and radical, “reboots” of one person’s life. A real-life, as this is based on a real person. Oh, and with Easter a few days away, the story will certainly resonate with its focus on faith. That’s because this tale is about Stuart Long, a boxer who becomes the priest known and loved as Father Stu.

From Dirk Diggler to a deacon, Mark Wahlberg has played it all.
The “Boogie Nights” star most recently transformed into a Catholic priest for the new film “Father Stu,” out April 13. Wahlberg also produced the film based on the true story of a boxer turned priest.
“The Fighter” star told Entertainment Tonight that “Father Stu” is a turning point in his career.
“I feel like this is starting a new chapter for me in that, now, doing things like this [with] real substance can help people,” Wahlberg said. “I definitely want to focus on making more. I wouldn’t say necessarily just faith-based content but things that will help people.”
He added, “Hopefully this movie will open a door for not only myself but for lots of other people in Hollywood to make more meaningful content.”
Wahlberg has called “Father Stu” a “dream role” that chose him to do “God’s good” work.

Solstice Studios will release a new cut of Mark Wahlberg’s latest film — retitled “Joe Bell” — on Feb. 19, 2021, timed to this year’s delayed awards season.
The company acquired the movie — which had been titled “Good Joe Bell” — at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. The movie, which also stars Reid Miller, Connie Britton and Gary Sinise, is based on the true story of Joe Bell and his 15-year-old son Jadin, who died by suicide in 2013 after being subjected to bullying because he was gay. After his son’s death, Bell decided to walk across the country as a tribute to him.
Wahlberg is the title character and also serves as a producer. The movie is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green from an original screenplay by Diana Ossana and Larry McMurtry, the Academy Award-winning writing team from “Brokeback Mountain.”
