One of Vertigo comics' most famous works is getting the film treatment.
Tom Hardy is set to produce and potentially star in an adaptation of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso's gritty comic "100 Bullets" for New Line.
The "Inception" and "Mad Max" star would play an enigmatic man named Agent Graves who presents different random people with a gun, the identity of the person who ruined their lives... and a hundred rounds of untraceable ammunition.
Seemingly standalone at first, the comic ran for 100 issues and as it progressed a larger crime saga emerged in the work which led to the creators nabbing numerous awards.
Chris Borrelli ("The Vatican Tapes") has already penned the script for the project which Hardy and Dean Baker would produce. The aim is reportedly to keep as close to the comic as possible.
This marks the first new project announced since New Line took over development of...

Making the most of every moment in New Zealand, Prince William and Kate Middleton showed up at the Viaduct Basin in Auckland for a sailing adventure today (April 11).
Joined by Dean Barker and Team New Zealand, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looked well-rested and in good spirits despite their jam-packed schedule and the inevitable jet lag they’re experiencing with their son Prince George.
Once on the water, Kate showed her competitive side as she raced against her handsome hubby while crowds of people cheered from the shore.
Furthermore, the Prince and his lady also visited military personnel at a nearby facility with one reporter tweeting, “William and Kate have arrived at Whenuapai Air Force base."
Auckland’s mayor Len Brown told press "It’s a huge honor to welcome William and Kate to Auckland. They’re a lovely couple and great Rnz Air Force crowd here at Whenuapai.

Call her the Princess of Waves. Kate trounced her husband, Prince William, in a yacht race around the Auckland harbor Friday during their visit to New Zealand, showing herself to be the more talented sailor, at least on this day, as the couple took to the wheels of America's Cup yachts. "Take care!" Kate teased her husband before setting off, patting him on the back. "Yeah, see you later," he replied. "There are no friends on the water. No quarter given. I'm sure Prince William would not want to be beaten by his wife," Grant Dalton, managing director of Emirates Team New Zealand,...

Tom Hardy is slated to host a documentary about wildlife poaching in Africa for the U.K. network ITV. The actor will also executive produce the special, which will be separated into two hour-long episodes. The project, which is being tentatively titled Poaching Wars With Tom Hardy, was reportedly Hardy's own idea. The 35-year-old will travel to multiple countries in Africa and meet those affected and taking part in the illegal industry. He'll also speak with key governmental figures to find out more about fighting the matter at hand and what viewers can do to help. Tom Hardy is to front a new documentary series for ITV.
Poaching Wars with Tom Hardy will follow the Hollywood star as he explores the damage being inflicted on Africa by the poaching industry.
In two hour-long films, viewers will see the Dark Knight Rises star trek across the continent, meeting farmers who have lost livestock to poachers, plus key figures from organisations fighting back against poaching.
"The story of the impact of wildlife poaching in Africa is one that is important to tell now more than ever," said Jo Clinton-Davis, ITV Controller of Factual.
"Tom Hardy's palpable concern and commitment to shedding light on what is happening and what the answers might be allow him to bring this reality home in a way that we believe will resonate powerfully with our audience."

Warner Bros is working on not one but two high-profile films about the illegal poaching and trafficking in endangered animals around the world. Both projects are being produced by Tobey Maguire‘s Material Pictures, Leonardo DiCaprio‘s Appian Way and Tom Hardy‘s Executive Options. I don’t know if both of these projects get made, but at a time when Hollywood studios are preoccupied with pretend crises like zombies and vampires, bravo for a major to step up and try to weave in a global problem like ivory trafficking into a drama. The first project is being written by Up In The Air co-writer Sheldon Turner as a star vehicle for Hardy, based on an idea by the Dark Knight Rises and Warrior star. The untitled film is set in Africa and the aim is for Hardy to play a former Special Forces soldier who signs on with a...
