Lille, France — The gauntlet thrown down by the opening stretches of Viaplay banner title “The Fortress,” one of nine series in main competition at Series Mania, is to believe that this is fiction.
News footage plays of a pandemic, then a war; huge protests rage around the world as Norway’s prime minister addresses his nation to announce that Norway is building a wall to keep everybody else out. That’s been done before (Israel) and in metaphorical terms (Brexit).
Cut to nine years later: Norway is a bucolic paradise, Sweden next door a refugee camp hell, until strange bacteria kills fish and then humans, and Norway will, foreseeably, need international help and “what starts as a wall, ends as a prison,” comments Filippa Wallestam, Viaplay Group chief content officer.
Set in an eerily familiar 2037 Bergen, and starring Selome Emnetu (“Occupied”) and Russell Tovey (“Years & Years”), “The Fortress” weighs...

Joachim Trier’s Oscar-nominated smash “The Worst Person in the World,” about a young woman trying to figure out what – and who – she really wants in her life, won big at Norway’s Amanda Awards on Saturday night, scooping five statuettes, including one for best film.
Trier, who now holds the title for most Amanda Awards, also won for best screenplay with his long-time collaborator Eksil Vogt. The film’s breakout star Renate Reinsve, already awarded at Cannes, picked up her first Amanda for her portrayal of Julie, with Anders Danielsen Lie named best supporting actor.
Back in February, Reinsve – who will be next seen in “A Different Man” alongside Sebastian Stan – opened up about her work with Trier, which started in 2011 on “Oslo, August 31st,” her very first feature film.
“I was an extra with one line. I had nothing to compare it to – it was my first movie set.

Hey, "Grey's Anatomy" fans. We've got some new, very interesting intel for the upcoming episode 5 of this current season 14 via an official ABC episode press release. It revealed a few teaser storylines for the episode. It turns out that this episode is going to feature a lot of flashback scenes. One or more of those flashbacks will give us some very important backstory about Owen's sister Megan Hunt. Also, it sounds like things will get very emotional between Owen and Megan when they have a very serious heart to heart and more. The press release also revealed that this is episode titled, "Danger Zone."ABC's main description of this installment reveals that we're going to be presented flashback scenes to Iraq in 2007, and they will feature all the tragic events that led up to Megan getting kidnapped. So, we're going to finally see what really went down that day. It should be quite informative.

Grey’s Anatomy is kicking off November Sweeps by going to war, and it’s deploying four major characters to the front lines.
TVLine has learned exclusively that the ABC drama’s Oct. 26 episode, titled “Danger Zone,” will be told almost entirely in flashback and chronicle the events leading up to Megan’s (Abigail Spencer) kidnapping in Iraq. In addition to Spencer, the standalone hour will also feature Kevin McKidd’s Owen, Martin Henderson’s Nathan and Kim Raver’s Teddy. (Check out an exclusive first look above.) I’m told the episode — penned by staff writer Jalysa Conway and directed...
