(1962) Unsold pilot: Produced and directed a pilot for a proposed CBS comedy series called "Howie" which featured Will Hutchins in the title role. His father-in-law was played by Paul Lynde. A decade later, Asher reworked this pilot into a short-lived (one season) sitcom, The Paul Lynde Show (1972).
(1966) Unsold pilot: He served as executive producer for an ABC comedy pilot called "Sedgewick Hawk-Styles: Prince of Danger". which starred Paul Lynde as a bumbling detective in late 19th-century England.
(1966) Unsold pilot: Produced a sitcom pilot called "The Jan and Dean Show" in which singers Jan Berry and Dean Torrence played college students who embarked on a nationwide tour accompanied only by their young female manager.
(1969) Unsold pilot: Produced and directed a sitcom pilot for CBS called "Houseboat". The pilot starred Arthur Hill as a widowed newspaper report who lives on a houseboat with his three kids and beautiful young housekeeper.
