Midtown Direct Rep Mdr is delighted to present its second reading of its 2017-1018 staged reading series, Theater at The Woodland, with a presentation of Fear, written by Matt Williams and directed by Mark Armstrong. This event will be performed for one night only on Sunday, December 3rd at 700pm at The Woodland 60 Woodland Rd. Maplewood, NJ, where Mdr is the resident theater company. The 24 Hour Plays has announced the first round of participants for this year’s production on Monday, October 30th, at 8:00pm at the American Airlines Theatre in Times Square.
Additional cast and creative team members will be announced in the coming weeks.
This year’s cast will feature Raul Castillo, Josh Charles, Jackie Cruz, Jennifer Esposito, Noah Galvin, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Nina Hellman, Cush Jumbo, Mia Katigbak, Lola Kirke, Russell G. Jones, Orlando Pabotoy, Christina Ricci, Kyra Sedgwick, Jeremy Shamos, Jonathan Marc Sherman, Justice Smith, Lois Smith, Nico Tortorella and Yul Vasquez.

The Sopranos star James Gandolfini has been reportedly spotted out in New York drinking vodka - despite declaring last year he had quit alcohol. According to the New York Daily News, the actor recently arrived at the Suede club at 12:30am with his Sopranos co-star Jamie-Lynn Sigler and her husband Aj Discala. The group then ordered a bottle of Stolichnaya vodka. A source tells the News, "They all started drinking the Stoli straight. They were clinking their glasses. (Gandolfini) seemed to really be enjoying himself. (The ladies) were all paying him a lot of attention, and he was soaking it up." The actor's ex-wife Marcy alleged that he had problems with alcohol and cocaine, and Gandolfini himself confirmed he had been in rehabilitation four years previously. When asked if he was staying sober by the Daily News last October, he replied, "I have been. And I will be." Gandolfini's manager, Mark Armstrong says, "(He) was out having a casual cocktail with a cast member. As far as I know, he's been sober. There've been no instances like there used to be."...
