Robbie Williams may have jokingly proposed to his girlfriend live on the radio last month, but he reckons he won’t make her his bride anytime soon. Williams, 35, says that the proposal was just a joke and, despite dating actress Ayda Field for almost three years, he’s still not ready to make the commitment. But I want [us] to play around and have more fun and not be grown-ups yet.' The former Take That singer popped the question live on Australia’s Sydney’s 2Day FM last month, but later insisted that it »

Robbie Williams has become dependent on the medication he takes to help himself cope with depression, because he feels "suicidal" when he stops taking the pills. The former "Take That" star has struggled with alcohol and drug abuse, and famously battled an addiction to painkillers including Vicodin during the mid-2000s.
He managed to get clean after checking into The Meadows rehabilitation treatment centre in Arizona on his 33rd birthday in 2007, but he admits he's still hooked on anti-depressants, and he's terrified of giving them up.
He says, "You get suicidal when you come off them (anti-depressants). There's a buzzing, and weird things start happening. It's very scary." »

Pop music in 2009... what was that all about? We started the year singing 'Hallelujah' and ended it Raging Against The Machine. Whitney came back, Britney stayed back and Robbie still didn't rejoin Take That. Strangest of all, can you believe there was essentially no such thing as GaGa this time 12 months ago? In what is fast slowly becoming customary fashion, Digital Spy has compiled a "considered and comprehensive" list of the top 50 singles of the year. We'll be counting them down ten a day from now until New Year's Eve, so we suppose we'd better let you see the first lot right away. 50. Dolly Rockers: 'Je Suis Une Dolly'

Let us know your favourite pop promos of the decade
What makes a great pop video? Explosive action? Mind-bending animation? Bling? Bottles of Cristal? Being ripped off in the latest TV advert? One viewer's masterpiece is another's dross, and they will never agree.
And there are simply more videos now than there used to be. In the 70s and 80s, quality videos stood out because there wasn't much else around – Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, Jacko's Thriller and Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer were events. Now videos cram every corner of YouTube, blogs and TV channels from Viva to MTV.
In the noughties, having a director for your video wasn't enough – they had to be a big name. Hype Williams was one of the busiest, shooting videos such as Kanye West's Gold Digger and Stronger, Beyoncé's Check on It and Coldplay's Viva La Vida. Other directors such as Mark Romanek »

George Michael is embarrassed by his Wham! fashion choices. The 46-year-old singer - who has sold over 100 million records worldwide - gets embarrassed when he sees the outfits and hairstyles he used to have as a younger star when he shot to fame in the 80s. George - who was joined in Wham! by Andrew Ridgeley - said: "When I see myself. I cringe mostly! Take that blonde hair. I wanted to have long, blonde, straight hair because I didn't really want to be me. So the short, dark, curly hair had to go. "Looking back, I suppose I could have done without those curtain rings in my ears as well. And the shorts with the shuttlecocks down them »
