Joe Ballarini made a big splash around these parts a little while back as the writer of Dance Of The Dead. Ballarini's work on Dance marked him as a talent to watch, someone with an unusual ability to balance tones and character and comedy to create something really quite special. And though Ballarini is making a shift in genres with his relationship comedy Father vs Son - which he both co-wrote and directed - those gifts are obvious here as well.Father Vs Son is a modern screwball comedy about a father and son competing against each other for the same mysterious woman. It stars Eric Stonestreet from "Modern Family" Josh Dean from "Young People F*ing" and Heather Stephens from "Tomcats". It's the directorial debut of...

Elisha Cuthbert is joining "the forgotten" on ABC starting February 2010.
Cuthbert has been cast in a recurring role -- Maxine Denver, a Chicago professional who is "forced to put her skepticism of 'amateur detectives' aside when The Forgotten Network begins investigating a case close to home," according to the ABC press release.
We've already seen Cuthbert reprising her role of Kim Bauer on at least one episode of "24" on Fox, so it looks like this girl next door is pulling double network duty come spring. There's no word yet on just how many episodes of either show Cuthbert is doing, but still... that's a lotta blonde after the holidays.
"The forgotten" also stars Christian Slater, Michelle Borth, Heather Stephens, Rochelle Aytes, Bob Stephenson and Anthony Carrigan. It airs Tuesdays at 10 pm Et/Pt on ABC.

Canadian-born actress Elisha Cuthbert, perhaps best known for playing Kim Bauer on Fox's 24, has joined ABC's The Forgotten cast in a recurring role, which begins in February of next year.
Cuthbert will play Maxine Denver, a strong and successful Chicago professional who is forced to put her skepticism of "amateur detectives" aside when The Forgotten Network begins investigating a case close to home.
If you haven't seen it, the series focuses on a team of dedicated amateurs The Forgotten Network who work on murder cases involving unidentified victims. After the police have given up, this group, led by Alex Donovan (Christian Slater), must first solve the puzzle of the victim's identity in order to then help catch the killer. These are citizen volunteers solving extraordinary crimes. Their persistence and compassion for the cases put them on a personal and emotional journey that focuses on giving names back to the deceased.

When Christian Slater's TV series, My Own Worst Enemy, was cancelled last year it seemed a bit unlikely that the actor would return to the medium any time soon. Some film stars have made the journey to television in the past and, when the shows failed, they haven't been too quick to return. But Slater hopped right back into the fray and has a new show for ABC, the forgotten. So, will this one stick around longer than the last one?
the forgotten revolves around a group of dedicated civilians that form The Forgotten Network. Led by Alex Donovan (Slater), the team donates its time to identify unrecognizable murder victims, trying to "give back the name of the deceased." The show also stars Michelle Borth, Heather Stephens, Bob Stephenson, Anthony Carrigan, and Rochelle Aytes.

Chicago – In the United States, the remains of 40,000 people remain unidentified. ABC’s new mystery “The Forgotten” is about a civilian, victims rights group led by Alex (Christian Slater) who tries to solve the cold cases that the officials have left behind because there are no relatives to push for them. They identify the unknown. Sadly, the show probably deserves to remain a mystery to viewers as well.

The narration of a corpse being wheeled into a morgue as she claims that she’s “waiting to be found” is more than a little creepy and arguably in bad taste, but the concept of “The Forgotten” is that only a select group of...
