Before I start gushing about just how great this cartoon and, by connection, this set are, let’s establish two things. First, for every good thing I have to say about the entire set I include a single footnote: this should be available in a Blu-ray release as well, the animation would be sharper and bolder, the audio would be stunning and the entire package would have had that much more relevance considering the current trends of digital media. Second, this is so much more than just a ‘cartoon’. As is said a few times in the extra features of the series, Justice League may be the greatest superhero animated series to have ever existed. So what does that imply about this complete series set? One of the best ever?

Jealousy is a... well it's not cool. And it's hard to look at today's Daily TwitPic without feeling a few twangs. Blame Jeremy Piven, star of the HBO hit series "Entourage." While most of us were sitting in the comfort of our own homes, watching the game on hi def TVs with ample supplies of beer, chips and friends all around, Piven was freezing his ass off on the field at one of the Yanks/Phillies games at Yankee Stadium.
He still had a cooler night though, didn't he? In the pic below, you can see Piven posing for the shot next to a very large man in a Yankees windbreaker. Given the setting and outfit choice, non-sports fans can be forgiven for assuming said gentleman is a Yankee. My keen investigative journalism skills tell me otherwise however. Scanning down the pic's comments list, you can clearly see someone identify the guy as Brian Urlacher, »

Yankees supporters were out in force last night, and a few Twitter-Wood citizens were right by the field uploading pics. Brody Stevens may have shot the most enviable of the day, apparently getting soon-to-be-mvp Hideki Matsui in the dugout before the game. Jeremy Piven caught another high-quality photo-op, though, standing with his fellow Chicagoan Brian Urlacher.
Poor John Favreau was stuck in the editing room for "Iron Man 2," though, which he noted on his account. Larry King, Eliza Dushku and other added their thoughts after Phillies finally went down. Check out all of their tweets, along with Brett Ratner's pic with Mariah Carey after wrapping her video and Andy Milonakis. They're all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 5, 2009.

Cow films appear to be the official successor to the unseen prequels tag that was trending on Twitter earlier this week. Both Jon Favreau and Steve Agee made contributions today, while John August offered some criticism of ABC's new "V" series and Brian Lynch commemorated the 40th birthday of "Sesame Street."
In the "Twilight" neighborhood of Twitter-Wood, meanwhile, Peter Facinelli discussed an accidental oversleeping incident that resulted in a late arrival on-set. David Slade responded by thanking him for not ever being late during "Eclipse." Check out all of those tweets after the jump. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 4, 2009.

Hold the sushi and the soy lattes. Jeremy Piven, who recently recovered from a long battle with mercury poisoning, claims that he quit drinking soy milk because it caused confusion over his growing breasts. "I was the guy that dabbled in soy milk, but now I've found out soy milk has enough estrogen for me to grow breasts," he told Stv (via Digital Spy). "I had to put the soy milk down. It was a very confusing time." Turns out Piven was drinking 12 cups of soy milk a day! This is the man who claimed he had been eating fish twice a day for 20 years before he was felled by mercury poisoning. Everything in moderation. Chicago – The legendary Martin Landau was recently in Chicago with two films in special presentation at The 45th Annual Chicago International Film Festival - the classic “North by Northwest,” also releasing on Blu-Ray tomorrow, November 3rd, 2009, and the new drama “Lovely, Still,” co-starring Ellen Burstyn.
Very few actors will ever have an experience like Mr. Landau did at the film festival in October, bringing two experiences from such different eras of their working life. We spent a lot of time with Martin discussing what’s important to him as an actor and he made clear that it’s the arc of his character that’s essential to the projects he chooses.
Landau explains, “The interesting thing is that I’ve had an interesting cross-section of directors - Joe Mankiewicz, George Stevens, Henry Hathaway, George Marshall, Tim Burton, Francis Coppola, Woody Allen, Steve Spielberg. The good directors create a playground for »
