Frank Miller Gives Update on 'Sin City 2'

19 September 2008 9:44 PM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

While Frank Miller was in Rome to introduce Will Eisner's comic strip adaptation "The Spirit", he got the chance to speak out a little bit about his other project "Sin City 2". Though refusing to spoil any details on the "Sin City" sequel, he revealed to BadTaste.it that the project is close to be started.

In a Q&A session, he said, "I cant' talk about my projects, because I don't believe a movie is real until I see the title on the screen. There are many things that can go wrong." He then added, "But I can tell you that I'm very close to begin Sin City 2 with Robert Rodriguez. We have to arrange a few things and we'll be back in action."

The second film adapted from Miller's graphic novel of the same title, "Sin City 2", reportedly will based on the second Sin City story

Brittany Murphy Cheats in the 'Across the Hall' Trailer

26 August 2008 8:03 AM, PDT | From Cinematical.com | See recent Cinematical news

Filed under: Thrillers, Trailers and Clips

In February, Brittany Murphy signed on to star in the noir thriller Across the Hall, and now you can check out a trailer for the film above. It's supposed to be a thriller about a man, his fiancee, and his best friend, and it is, but there are also a whole lot of mixed messages thrown in for good measure.

While the plot seems like your typical love triangle -- girl cheats with lover's best friend, lover chooses to kill best friend and live happily ever after -- there's a whole slew of horror techniques that are either misleading or hinting at some big, supernatural twist. The hotel and the room across the hall are described as if they're filled with ghosts or other ghoulish things, instead of just a jealous fiance. Quick cuts merge with eerie voice-overs, but while some sort of big

Chilling Trailer for Brittany Murphy's 'Across the Hall'

25 August 2008 2:53 AM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

The independent thriller project produced by Insomnia Media Group, "Across the Hall", has unveiled a sneak peek into the movie starring "Just Married" actress Brittany Murphy, "Cloverfield" actor Mike Vogel and television actor Danny Pino through a brand new trailer. The trailer presents compilation of clips aimed to help movie lovers to grasp what the movie is all about.

The trailer is set to have the tone of a horror movie in the sense that it displays only glimpses of scenes accompanied with the appearing words across the screen explaining what should be expected. From the looks of the trailer, the movie will be taking place in a hotel named Riverview and in room 508. Though the footage let out doesn't exactly give out a clear explanation about the story line, it still helps to get the background plot.

Simply described to be telling the story of a standoff between a young man,

Futurama: The Beast With A Billion Backs

8 July 2008 9:03 PM, PDT | From avclub.com | See recent The AV Club news

The first direct-to-dvd Futurama movie, Bender's Big Score, sagged under the weight of audience expectations and the pressure to shoehorn every beloved minor character into a coherent 90-minute narrative. So perhaps it's best to think of the disappointing Big Score simply as a warm-up, a way to shake off the rust that inevitably accrues when a beloved cartoon franchise lies dormant for four years. Good news, everyone! With The Beast With A Billion Backs, the sleeping, nerdy giant that is Futurama truly awakes to kick ass. Beast's twisty plot finds the perpetually lovesick Fry infatuated with a foxy new girlfriend (voiced by Brittany Murphy) who unfortunately can't be limited to just one man. Or two. Or three. At first, Fry doesn't mind being part of a male harem, but he quickly grows disillusioned. Meanwhile, an interdimensional rift unleashes an enormous, powerful, space octopus-like creature (voiced by David Cross) intent...

Brittany Murphy has been dropped by Disney movie studio executives from the forthcoming Tinker Bell film, according to online reports.

Murphy, 30, was hired in 2006 to provide the voice of Tinker Bell in an upcoming animated film about the beloved Peter Pan fairy, but has since allegedly been replaced by 19-year-old Mae Whitman.

Murphy's acting career has stalled in recent years, with the Clueless star receiving more press attention for her personal life - including her 2007 secret wedding to Simon Monjack - than for her film roles.
