Zuleikha Robinson becomes new 'Lost' regular

4 November 2009 2:52 PM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Lost's Ajira Airways Flight 316 yielded some strange but important passengers. While Caesar, the de facto leader, turned out to just be a man out of his league (he was killed by Ben shortly after the plane crash), it was the mysterious Ilana that seemed to really be in control. Along with Bram, played by Brad William Henke, Ilana led a group of survivors who seemed to be working for Jacob, and had been working for Jacob for quite some time.

Ilana was last seen dumping the real Locke's body out of a crate and onto the beach, revealing the prescence of Jacob's nemesis to Richard Alpert and the rest of the others.

We'll be seeing plenty more of Ilana next year — DarkUFO has recently confirmed that actress Zuleikha Robinson, who portrays Ilana, has been promoted to a series regular for the sixth and final season on the series. This is great news, »

Lost But Not Forgotten: Team Darlton Promise "Familiar Faces" For Final Season of "Lost"

26 July 2009 8:28 AM, PDT | Televisionary | See recent Televisionary news »

With the sixth and final season of Lost looming, executive producers/showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse made their annual trek to Comic-Con for what is likely the last Lost panel at the convention. Ever. In the tradition of hijinx-fueled Lost panels, this one was no different, with Team Darlton teasing some details about what to expect on the series while also offering attendees the chance to laugh until it hurt. Given that the end of the series is so near, expectations ran high but our favorite Lost masterminds didn't disappoint, offering up a montage of fan-created video mashups (faves included Jack waiting for Xbox support, a Jack and Sawyer bit that reimagined them as Brokeback Mountain-style lovers, and a bit that recast the castaways as Muppet Babies), some newly created humorous videos including a "from our sponsor" commercial for Mr. Cluck's (starring Jorge Garcia's Hurley), an episode »

Nestor Carbonell Joins Main Cast of Lost

26 July 2009 8:14 AM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

It's about time, I say!

William Keck of TV Guide confirmed yesterday that Nestor Carbonell, who we all know as playing the enigmatic Richard Alpert, will be joining the main cast of the Island mystery drama for its sixth and final season.

"I'm moving my whole family to Hawaii next week," Nestor tells me. "This whole time I've been flying back and forth, but now I'll be living on the island with the others. They tell me I'll be in 16 of the 18 episodes."

It's wonderful news, and it's the realization of many hopes that fans have had since season three, when Richard made his first appearance on the show, and was later revealed to be ageless in "The Man Behind the Curtain." Richard has since appeared frequently on the show, acting as a guiding light for Locke as he assumed his role as an Other, and then leading Jacob's nemesis »

Confirmed! Dominic Monaghan Is Returning to Lost

25 July 2009 10:03 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Today's Comic Con Lost panel was as fun and exciting as ever, and once again used to tease us fans to the brink of insanity.  For over a month now rumors have been swirling about whether or not Dominic Monaghan was returning to Lost for its sixth season.  Yesterday, those rumors seemed to be false, as Dom showed up at the FlashForward panel and we learned that he would be joining the cast of that show as a series regular.  But then, today, he appeared at the very end of the Lost Comic Con panel during a tribute to dead characters, and appeared to have the words "Am I dead?" written on his hands.  Once again we were left to speculate and wonder if that meant he was returning to the show or not.

Well, you can rest assured, now, that he is in fact returning to the show.  Take »

Exclusive – Behind the Scenes at The Lost Comic Con Panel! Jorge! Holloway! Guyliner!

25 July 2009 5:16 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

I would like to lie in the shadow of the statue right now. I joined the Lost panel line at Comic-Con 2009 in San Diego at midnight, and am operating on zero sleep. However, I am so excited to share these videos with fellow Lost fans, as I had the opportunity to listen in as Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway and Nestor Carbonell answered press questions after the panel. While I did not have the chance to ask any questions of my own, I was thrilled to be able to meet Jorge on his way out. Amazingly sweet and surprisingly shy! It was a blur and a joy to be behind the scenes.

Josh Holloway discussed the possibility of Juliet's return, Jorge Garcia enthusiastically described what he loves about playing Hurley and Nestor Carbonell weighed in on whether Richard Alpert is good or evil….

Comic-Con: We Open The Hatch For Our 'Lost' Panel Report

25 July 2009 4:27 PM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

By Michael Avila (Note: "Lost" spoilers below)

What the heck is the Man in Black’s name?

We still don’t know the answer to that burning question from “Lost’s” mindblowing finale to Season 5, or to any of the other 1,275 questions we have about the show. But “Lost” fans did learn a few juicy nuggets about the show’s upcoming final season during a raucous panel Saturday at Comic-Con.

Among the details executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof revealed to an at-capacity crowd in Hall H:

Elizabeth Mitchell, who’s starring in the fall debut “Flash Forward,” will be back for Season 6. In what capacity or time period, they wouldn’t say.

According to Lindelof, it all depends on whether Jack’s plan works or not.

The showrunners also said ‘certain characters’ who haven’t been seen since Season 1 will return. Were they hinting at the return of Boon and/or Shannon? »

Lost Final Season Panel: Comic-Con 2009

25 July 2009 12:15 PM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

The panel opened with a commercial for a website called LostUniversity.org, followed by what was supposed to be an ad for an old 1980s TV show called Mysteries of the Universe: The Dharma Initiative.

Then they had a bunch of fan videos, starting out with showing people having Lost parties - but then they had some mashups that were great, including showing Jack and Sawyer as the romantic couple on the show, Jack waiting for X-Box support on the phone, a toy Hurley shooting a bunch of toy baseball players wearing the ubiquitous numbers. Great stuff.

Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were on hand and they said that we’ll be seeing characters that we haven’t seen since the first season.

During the Q&A a very funny fan came up and unveiled a velvet painting with Damon, Carlton and a polar bear.

Faraday will reappear on the show next season. »

Sdcc 2009: Lost Season 6 Secrets Revealed! Charlie Is Back!

25 July 2009 8:36 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Lost is here at Comic-Con 2009 today and many new clues were unleashed during the course of the last hour that will have everyone scratching their heads for days.

Producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof showed three videos to the crowd in panel H today...

Video #1: Oceanic Ad

The first video was an ad for Oceanic Air. The first clue to be revealed here was the fact that the company had apparently formed in 1979, which would be consistent with last season's jump back to the 70's, but obviously some seedy underhanded work is alluded to here with the origin date. Just as well, "A perfect safety record." Again, alternate reality?

Video #2: Mr. Cluck's Chicken

The second video ad was for Mr. Cluck's Chicken, which we all know played an integral part in Hurley's storyline throughout the series. The video showcased Hurley who apparently had dreamed of a recipe for »

Want More ‘Lost’? Here Are Comics-Friendly Projects Where You Can Find The Cast!

14 May 2009 10:31 AM, PDT | MTV Splash Page | See recent MTV Splash Page news »

Season Five of “Lost” went out with a bang (or lack thereof) last night, leaving many fans wondering where they’re going to get their fix of Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Locke and the rest of the mysterious island’s inhabitants between now and the 2010 season. With a cast and filmmakers that have never shied away from projects close to comics fans’ hearts (and in the case of Brian K. Vaughan, began their careers in comics), the series has carved out a niche for itself in the geek scene that will be sorely missed in the months until its sixth (and final) season kicks off.

But fear not, folks. Here’s a breakdown of some other places you can find your favorite people from the island in and around the world of comics-related fare, from starring roles to blink-and-you-miss-it cameos.

The Objective and Killer Movie (Tribeca Flashback Review)

21 April 2009 1:03 PM, PDT | Fangoria | See recent Fangoria news »

Current events inform these two genre films: Daniel Myrick’s The Objective takes place against the backdrop of the war in the Middle East, while Jeff Fisher’s Killer Movie puts a horrific spin on the endless reality-television trend. For The Blair Witch Project’s Myrick, The Objective marks a return to the scenario of a group of people venturing into forbidding territory where mysterious forces threaten them, while Fisher has intimate knowledge of his film’s specific milieu, having served time on the likes of The Real World/Road Rules and The Simple Life. But while the former effectively makes an already harrowing situation worse with the introduction of the supernatural, the latter doesn’t come up with anything that’s as scary as, say, the prospect of sitting through a whole season of Paris Hilton hijinx.   Myrick, who scripted The Objective with Mark A. Patton and Wesley Clark Jr., »

Lost Chris Pine Video Emerges From the Vault

Every frame of the Star Trek trailer has been analyzed, every stich of the costumes discussed.  But at the core of J.J. Abrams’ new film is the Captain’s seat.  And it’s still, let’s face it, a bit of a question mark.  Who is Chris Pine?  Who is our new Captain James Tiberius Kirk? We’ve been doing what we can to uncover this mystery for you.  Some months back we watched all of his previous films (including Princess Diaries 2, eegads!) for our Chris Pine Film Festival.  Now we’ve got something from the vault. Before Janurary of 2007, when Smokin’ Aces was released, Ugo was able to chat with the cast and crew.  Who knew, at the time, that an unknown character actor named Chris Pine would ever become the biggest unknown name in blockbuster cinema? Here he is, paired with Lost’s Nestor Carbonell, discussing the film and acting cool. »
