Below, Arnold previews the big episode. The family gets a little bigger...

We have more intriguing casting news for one of the most highly anticipated series of 2024.
From the moment NBC began developing Suits: LA, fans of the original series have been clamoring for updates about the spinoff.
And some of the information about the cast has received a very mixed response.
But we think this latest report won't be as controversial as some of the news that preceded it.
According to a new report from Variety, Lex Scott Davis is the latest addition to the cast.
Though perhaps not a household name, Davis has an extensive and impressive resume, highlighted by her work in The First Purge, her performance as Toni Braxton in the biopic Unbreak My Heart and her roles on the TV series Training Day and The L Word: Generation Q.
Davis has been cast as Erica Rollins, whom producers describe as “a savvy and strong-willed rising star.

Plus, a teen contestant from another TV competition show wowed Reba McEntire and the other coaches with her singing prowess. Things kicked off with North Carolina native Caleb Sasser, who performed an incredible, stripped-back version of Toni Braxton‘s “Another Sad Love Song,” which earned near immediate chair turns from the four coaches. Niall Horan and Gwen Stefani hit their buttons within the first few notes, and Reba McEntire and John Legend weren’t far behind. Once the performance was over, Sasser received a standing ovation from the coaches and studio audience. “That was magical,” Legend told the 27-year-old singer, comparing his tone to Braxton and Anita Baker. “I love Toni Braxton; I love Anita Baker, but one of my...

Choosing a Halloween costume is pretty much like choosing a new identity: it's one night to be whoever you want, and what's more fun than pretending you're a famous musician? Of course you could go more current and channel Beyoncé's "Renaissance" World Tour costumes, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, or Justin Bieber, but going back in time can be really exciting too - especially when it comes to paying homage to an iconic musician.
As far as musician Halloween costumes go, you'll be in good company. In 2017, Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney channeled Madonna and Michael Jackson with spot-on looks, while both Demi Lovato and Kim went as Selena Quintanilla in 2017. Beyoncé herself has often favored famous musician costumes for Halloween, dressing up with Blue Ivy and Tina Knowles as Salt-n-Pepa in 2016 and going as Toni Braxton in 2018. Survivors include their daughter, Nicole Avant, a producer, former U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas and the wife of Netflix co-ceo and chief content officer Ted Sarandos, and their son, Alexander, a producer (Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!) and talent rep.
“Clarence leaves behind a loving family and a sea of friends and associates that have changed the world and will continue to change the world for generations to come,” the Avant/Sarandos family said.

As the world continues to grapple with the AI takeover, so are the Grammys.
The Recording Academy made headlines last week when it announced its rules about music created with artificial intelligence. Some feel like those songs should be banned, others say they are creative and innovative.
The Grammys are listening to both sides — but don’t expect them to award a robot.
“We will not be awarding a Grammy to AI,” Harvey Mason Jr., CEO and president of the Academy, tells The Hollywood Reporter. “If you’re awarding a Grammy to AI, I would be uncomfortable or even curious to know who we’re going to give the Grammy to. So for now, we’re going to … give the Grammy to the human side of the creativity.”
In short, the Grammys want to honor music created with AI elements, but the song must be made by humans as well,...

H.E.R. Way: Why Belle From ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Was a Dream Role for the Oscar-Winning R&b Crooner
A version of this story about H.E.R. and “Beauty and the Beast” first appeared in the Comedy Series issue of TheWrap’s awards magazine.
Few multi-hyphenates working these days can claim the take-over of industries quite like H.E.R. In just the last four years, the California native with the signature spectacles has racked up five R&b Grammys, an Oscar (for her stirring “Fight for You” from “Judas and the Black Messiah”) and a Children’s and Family Emmy for a tune from Netflix’s “We the People.” And after her spirited turn as the beloved Belle from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” in ABC’s 30th anniversary special, the Primetime Emmy might be calling.. And here’s the kicker: She’s only 25.

(It’s worth noting that Kirsten Bell’s Happy Dance shuttered earlier this year.

R&b legend Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds is happy his Super Bowl performance is over — sort of.
“I feel relieved — now I can breathe,” he told The Hollywood Reporter outside his suite following his moment on the field Sunday. “Before it was moments of nervousness and then I’d be chill and then I’d get a little nervous again. Right before they introduced me [I was like], ‘Oh shit, there it is.’ I just have to be chill and just try to concentrate on the song.”
“You know the words, but it’s a different kind of song. It’s not something that you sing every day and you’re on the spot,” he added of singing “America the Beautiful” at the State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

John Morrison was 10 years old when he started making beats on his Casio Rz-1, the same drum machine sampler that Prince Paul used to produce for De La Soul’s landmark 3 Feet High and Rising. Three years later, in 1993, Morrison heard Digable Planets’ debut album, Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time and Space) — and it changed the way he viewed music forever.
“When Digable Planets came out with Reachin’, it was magic,” says the beatmaker-turned-writer-slash-dj, who went on to interview the Brooklyn trio for the now-defunct local newspaper The Philly Word,...

The Black Keys and Jason Derulo are heading to the Super Bowl.
The NFL announced Friday that the performers will headline the NFL TikTok Tailgate, the league’s pregame party before Super Bowl Lvii, on Feb. 12 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
It’s the third year the NFL has partnered with TikTok to celebrate Super Bowl pre-game festivities. Viewers can watch the performance on the Fox Super Bowl Lvii Pregame Show, as well as @NFL on TikTok for hours of live programming.
“Words can’t express how honored and excited we are to have been asked by the NFL to join the Super Bowl festivities and perform at the TikTok Tailgate party,” The Black Keys, which includes singer-guitarist-producer Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney, say in a statement. “As longtime football fans, we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off Super Bowl Sunday. See you in Arizona.

Men are (finally) waking up to the powers of a great skincare regimen. Besides helping you look younger in the long run, the best men’s skincare brands can help you look (and feel) better on a day-to-day basis (i.e. softer, more resilient skin, free of dryness or oil).
The best men’s skincare brands today aren’t the same as your dad’s face and body soaps.

Shemar Moore began his career as a soap-opera heartthrob on "The Young and the Restless" before starring in hit shows and movies like "S.W.A.T.," "Sonic the Hedgehog 2," and "Criminal Minds." Along the way, the 52-year-old star has had a storied dating life. From Halle Berry to his "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" costar Kimberly Elise, Moore has been connected to quite a few familiar faces.
On Jan. 9, the "S.W.A.T." actor announced he and girlfriend Jesiree Dizon are expecting a baby in February. The baby will be Moore's first and Dizon's third (she has a son and daughter from previous relationships), and the shift into family-man mode marks a big change for the longtime bachelor. However, it's not entirely unexpected.
In the past, Moore was candid about wanting to focus on his career before he started a family, but in recent years, he's opened up about being ready to settle down.

As a music critic, it’s important to listen to as much music as possible. Play your favorites, but also discover new artists. Randomly select an album and give it a try. Check out recommendations from family, friends and folks on social media. Give that album you didn’t love another try.
Still, we like what we like, and music is subjective. With that said, here’s my list of the top albums of 2022!
1. Beyoncé, Renaissance
Listening to Beyoncé’s Renaissance is like watching and rewatching that epic TV series or film — the discovery is endless, and there is so much to unpack. The lyrics are catchy and confident, the beats are bouncy and brilliant and her vocal range is impeccable, going from fluttery coos on “Virgo’s Groove” to soft and sensual on “Plastic Off the Sofa” to assertive shit-talking throughout the 16-track dance escapade.
