The NCIS: Origins cast added another big piece of the puzzle.
An announcement was made that the producers added someone to play Gibbs’ dad – and they made a great choice.
The new show from the NCISverse is set in 1991, telling early stories from NCIS that revolve around Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Mike Franks.
Mark Harmon played Gibbs on NCIS, but the younger version of the character will be played by someone new.
Some NCIS fans felt that Mark Harmon’s son (Sean Harmon) could do the role, especially with how well he played a younger Gibbs in flashback episodes of NCIS.
Actor Austin Stowell is now playing Gibbs, which might be hard for some NCIS fans to accept.

The I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise is an interesting brand. Infamously, none of the films have a good score on rotten tomatoes. Yet, both I Know What You Did Last Summer and the sequel are beloved by fans. This month marks the 25th anniversary of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and the horribly rated sequel – which has a horrendous rotten tomatoes score of 7% – still holds up in 2023. To recap, Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) has survived the onslaught of Ben Willis’s (Muse Watson) wrath in the first film. The college

This new sequel was announced thirteen months ago, and even though it was said at the time that Hewitt and Prinze were in talks to return, Prinze later said that no one had been in contact with him about it yet. Hewitt said she would 100% be on board if an offer came her way – and even though she recently told Entertainment Tonight she couldn’t confirm but wouldn’t deny that she’d be back for the new sequel, she also revealed that...

The show’s time frame, 12 years before NCIS began, and Stowell’s real-life age, 39, track with that of Mark Harmon (51) when he originated the character on NCIS predecessor Jag in 2003.

The franchise from CBS Studios currently encompasses the main series, which is in its 21st season; 3-year-old spinoff NCIS: Hawai’i; NCIS: Sydney, the first international edition of the show; and a forthcoming Paramount+ spinoff that will feature the return of former regulars Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly.

When people think of Jim Gillespie’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, they usually consider it a solid slasher. It certainly had an engaging lead cast—Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe—and a script from Scream creator himself, Kevin Williamson. It even spawned an Amazon Prime spinoff series and is being featured as part of a “High School Horror” category on the Criterion Channel.
But that’s not the film this article is about. This is about the 1998 sequel that has a less positive reputation: Danny Cannon’s I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, which brought back Hewitt and Prinze Jr., but not Gillespie and Williamson. A lot of people tend to think of it as a lesser follow-up that is best left forgotten.

The CBS hit NCIS continues with season 21 in the near future, and fans can’t wait to see who returns. In the past, the show has unexpectedly killed off several characters. And one NCIS actor wasn’t happy about how his character was killed, according to creators.

Since NCIS started in 2003, fans have seen several of their favorite characters leave. As much as we’d love to see most of the characters make it through every season, the actors have their reasons for calling it quits. And sometimes, it’s not up to the actors at all. Instead, the creators have their own plans that go against everything that actors hope for.

This month’s installment of Deep Cuts Rising features a variety of horror movies. Some selections reflect a specific day or event in July, and others were chosen at random.
Regardless of how they came to be here, or what they’re about, these past movies can generally be considered overlooked, forgotten or unknown.
This month’s offerings feature a giant monster bug, home invaders, a zombie boy, a killer videographer, and a water spirit.

"I Know What You Did Last Summer" almost worked as a phantom wave for the neo-slasher genre, hitting theaters in the wake of Wes Craven's game changer "Scream," and sneaking in just a couple of months before "Scream 2" in October of 1997. Spawning an inferior sequel, a third entry called "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" with an entirely new cast, and a recently canceled Prime Video series, the original film has stayed surprisingly relevant. Now, a legacy sequel is on the way with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. in talks to return. Once again, the "Last Summer" franchise is capitalizing on the resurgent success of the "Scream" series, giving genre fans even more reason to get a little nostalgic for the late '90s horror craze.

As Mindy Meeks-Martin wisely observed in last year’s Scream, “You can't just reboot a franchise from scratch anymore – the fans won't stand for it!” And since the Child’s Play and Black Christmas reboots haven’t fared nearly as well as ‘legacyquels’ like Scream and David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy, you’ll see she’s got a point. Clearly Sony agrees too, as it’s now planning to resurrect its own '90s slasher franchise I Know What You Did Last Summer with the original cast in tow.
According to Deadline, Sony Pictures has tapped Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, director of last year’s sharp contemporary high school satire Do Revenge, to helm the sequel. Stop me if you've heard this before. Two teenagers are making out in a car when the radio announces a killer with a hook hand has escaped from a nearby asylum. It causes an argument between the couple as the girl is spooked by the announcement and wants to leave the secluded lover's lane. The hormone-fueled guy, now certain he's not getting any, steps on the gas and peels away from the make-out spot. Later, as the girl exits the car, she sees a long scratch down the side of the car and a bloody hook hanging from the door. Muse Watson Took An Intensely Physical Approach To Playing I Know What You Did Last Summer's Slasher
One of the cooler icons to emerge from the '90s teen-horror movie wave is the hook-wielding slayer of Jim Gillespie's "I Know What You Did Last Summer." The late '90s Kevin WIlliamson-penned adaptation of Lois Duncan's 1973 novel got a green light after Wes Craven's "Scream" became a smash hit. A mystery stalker taunts them a year later with notes proclaiming the film's title. For most of the movie,...

Although much has changed for NCIS as the CBS mainstay enters its 19th season, the plan is to give faithful fans the familiar show they have long known and loved.
Among the on- and off-screen shifts: Two characters were written out last spring, a pair of series regulars have been added for fall, Gibbs’ suspension took a deadly turn when he and his new boat went boom…. The only solid reason that given for Mark Harmon to sport a mustache on NCIS, Years Ago, was that the desire was to make his character, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, look a little rougher and give the impression that he was a bit scruffier. One has to remember that at the time Gibbs had retired from NCIS and was living in Mexico with his buddy and former mentor, Mike Franks, played by Muse Watson. He was sporting a rough beard at one point to show that he was more or less unrestrained and having a good time during his retirement, meaning

Stevie inheriting the motel on Schitt's Creek Stevie is a gem of a character who felt like she was running the motel, but wondered what she would do long-term. That's when her great-aunt passed away and left the motel all to her, and she joined forces with Johnny to help fix it up and make it a success.

Director: Anthony J. Rickert-Epstein. Writers: Renae Geerlings and Tyler Mane. Cast: Tyler Mane, Muse Watson, Derek Mears, Leslie Easterbrook, Renae Geerlings and Alex Saxon. Well told, this story of Norse mythology offers a few thrills or chills, but this title also lacks any real suspense and mystery. The story begins with Michael (Mane), his wife and nephew. Here at Dread Central we recognize that indie filmmakers are the lifeblood of the horror genre, and as a result we try to cover as much of them and their projects as possible. Back in 2009 director Jeremy Kasten came to us to let us know about his latest project, The Dead Ones. Now it's time to spread the word.
Sarah Harper, Brandon Wilson, Katie Foster, Torey Garza, Clare Kramer, and Muse Watson star in the film directed by Kasten from a script by Zach Chassler.
"Filmmaking is tough, dirty, hard, and mean--as well as other words that sound like they were ripped from the covers of 1960s pulp novels," writes Kasten. "It is also, in its purest form, a thrill. Because you risk everything doing something you love. And in entertaining people you hope, in some way, to change the world."

Someone was up to no good on tonight’s NCIS — and for once, it wasn’t Tony Dinozzo!
But we’ll get to that.
First: This week’s case involved an explosion on board an oil rig, which meant that NCIS had to partner with the Coast Guard Investigative Service (Cgis) and we got a visit from Agent Borin (Diane Neal) — Aka, Female Gibbs.
I’ve said this before about this season, but it’s worth repeating: NCIS has been on a a streak when it comes to bringing back old faces (see: Muse Watson, etc). Neal’s return was no exception.
