Does anybody know why Lee and Clint Eastwood never again collaborated on a movie after GBU. You would think that if they starred together in the two most popular movies that either actor ever made (GBU and FFDM), they would want to star with each other again.

Clint was already making his own films by the 70's, and Van Cleef I think had returned to the states from Europe by then. Why did they not star in another movie ? Did they not get along? Clint could have made another man with no name movie with Cleef.

I know Cleef was in failing health in the 80's but their was plenty of opportunities in the 70's to make another film together.
