The 'Cheers' gang is having a moment

16 October 2009 11:01 AM, PDT | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Ted Danson's dueling gigs on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm and Bored to Death have been delightful, and Shelley Long's kooky cameo on Wednesday's Modern Family triggered a still-rolling avalanche of Cheers nostalgia in our offices. But that's not the half of it. Woody Harrelson has a hit movie (Zombieland) and a serious role in a potential Oscar contender (The Messenger); Kelsey Grammer has another new sitcom (Hank); George Wendt has written a barstool professional's guide to beer; Rhea Perlman was hilarious on a recent episode of HBO's Hung; and Kirstie Alley is just a few pounds (lost or »

New Toy Story 3 Poster – Mr Potato. Head

14 October 2009 7:53 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Somehow I missed this one and let’s face it,  the set of Toy Story posters would most definitely not be complete if I didn’t give you this final character poster of Mr. Potato Head, voiced by Don Rickles.

You can check out the other posters in the related posts below and all of them are brilliant. Now all we need is the film which I cannot wait for. It’s out 23rd July and reunites Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, John Ratzenberger and Joan Cusack in another tale where Andy’s toys fight for their lives in some way, shape or form!

If you haven’t already, check out the new trailer here.

Toy Story Expansion: Cast and Run

13 October 2009 1:43 PM, PDT | Atomic Popcorn | See recent Atomic Popcorn news »

After the success the 3D double feature of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 has garnered over its originally planned two-week run, Pixar has announced that the showing will continue for at least another two weeks.

Given how well-received the first two Toy Story films were upon their original releases, and continue to be during their re-release run, it can be anticipated that the upcoming Toy Story 3 will be met with the same positive response. Along with keeping most of the characters we all know and love from the first and second Toy Story films, the cast of Toy Story 3 will be expanded to include some new characters and new voice talents.

In addition to Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reprising their roles as Woody and Buzz, Toy Story 3 will also be making room in the cast for Kristen Schaal of Flight of the Conchords and Blake Clark of 50 First Dates. »

The full theatrical trailer for the highly anticipated Toy Story 3 hit last week to (mostly) high praise of its loveable familiarity and beautiful animation (when is that ever Not the case with Pixar?). Today we have some info on some fresh voices that have been added to the Toy Story 3 roster, as well as news that the current re-release of Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D is being expanded.

First up, the voice casting:

Toy Story 3 director, Lee Unkrich, let fans know via his Twitter account (a continually growing place to go for breaking entertainment news announcements - a la Screen Rant) and a video announcement that Flight of the Conchords comedienne, Kristen Schaal and Blake Clark (50 First Dates) will be joining Toy Story 3’s voice cast.

Although Unkrich was tight-lipped about which character Schaal will be voicing (I’m going to guessing some sort of quirky, perhaps »

Official Trailer of 'Toy Story 3' Arrives

12 October 2009 8:18 PM, PDT | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Following a leak over the weekend, the first full trailer of "Toy Story 3" has finally been officially released by Disney/Pixar. Bringing up the slogan "No Toy Gets Left Behind", the trailer teases a bit on the brutality the toy crew experience when they find themselves at a local day-care center.

The official trailer aside, a new Mr. Potato Head character poster has been outed by MSN, and director Lee Unkrich has taken it to his Twitter account to share several info on the third "Toy Story" movie. The filmmaker unraveled in a video announcement some of the new members of the voice cast ensemble.

Through the video, the film editor for the first two "Toy Story" movies said that Kristen Schaal joins the cast for a character whose name is undisclosed, Blake Clark will fill in the voice of Slinky Dog, given that the original voice actor Jim Varney has passed away, »

Toy Story 3 Trailer in Glorious HD

12 October 2009 2:51 PM, PDT | TheHDRoom | See recent TheHDRoom news »

After a leak over the weekend saw the new Toy Story 3 trailer passed around YouTube like a hot potato, Disney today officially unveiled the trailer that includes the first footage from the upcoming Pixar sequel.

In the trailer, an opening montage set to Toy Story's musical voice Randy Newman chronicles Andy's time with the toys. With Andy heading to college, the toys find themselves at a crossroads. For reasons unknown they end up in a daycare where initial excitement turns to a nightmare at the hands of unruly toddlers with destructive tendencies.

There is no sign (that I can see) of the pink teddy bear that appeared as an Easter Egg in Up and is confirmed per Pixar to be a Toy Story 3 main character and speculated villain.

We’ve all grown up with Toy Story. It’s a timeless story we can all relate to and no matter how young or old you were when you saw the first film it was a masterpiece of emotional storytelling, and a seminal moment in cinematic animation. It was funny, warming to the heart and holds up today better than most films, thanks to the stellar performances from Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Pixar’s lucky mascot John Ratzenberger.

The second film achieved the impossible, surpassing the original, never resting on its considerable laurels and giving us a wider look at this wonderful world.

We’ve been bombarded with posters and a hilarious teaser trailer for Toy Story 3 in the past few weeks, but this is mere window dressing. It’s time to take our first look at what the film will bring us in July of 2010, and it »

Toy Story 3 Trailer Goes Live

We're not usually the sort of people to post trailers before they're all official and stuff but that vague principal soon goes out of the window when it's the first full-length promo for Toy Story 3.

Featuring the returning voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and the God-like John Ratzenberger, Pixar's 11th feature finds our favourite plastic buddies turfed out of their home when their owner Andy hits the ripe old age of 18 and goes off to college.

We won't say more than that, other than it's going to be bleeding brilliant.
