Katie Holmes was out on her own this morning to get coffees at a Starbucks near the Long Island set of The Romantics. Katie has been lucky to have all sorts of company while she's working on this project, from her many costars like Anna Paquin and Adam Brody to Tom and Suri Cruise. Tom was on hand earlier this week for a sweet Fall stroll with Katie, though more often than not it's Suri who's there to lend her support. View 10 Photos › To see more Katie, just read more. Adam Brody took a stroll around Long Island yesterday while on a break from filming The Romantics. He had a lady by his side, but it wasn't Glee's Dianna Agron, who has now officially joined the cast alongside Adam, Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel, Anna Paquin and more. Last week Dianna and Adam bonded with a trip to Starbucks together, and they'll have a lot more chances to chat over warm drinks when she arrives on set. The HBO show takes in almost all the categories possible for one show to achieve, only missing the spot in Favorite Drama Actor. Meanwhile, as a newcomer "The Vampire Diaries" attains the honor to battle it out with "True Blood", "Lost", "Heroes" and "Supernatural" in the category of Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show.
However, not only the blood suckers are dominating the list but also the doctors. Representing "Grey's Anatomy" are Seattle Grace medical practitioners such as Patrick Dempsey and Katherine Heigl, and from "House M.D.", it's the chief of Princeton Plainsboro, Hugh Laurie.
In the comedy categories, this year's Emmys winner "30 Rock" fails to secure a slot in the Favorite Comedy but »

Who needs critics? Who needs experts? Since the dawn of the internet and the democratization of entertainment, who really needs someone to tell them what is good and what is not good? Clearly, the people who made up the list of nominees below -- the 18 million voters of the People's Choice Awards -- need some assistance. It is sad -- void of great drama such as Mad Men and full of teenie-bopper schlock like Twilight -- but also triumphant, as it makes me feel great about my own job security. Thank you America, for once again proving that you need me. The 2009 People's Choice Awards will air on January 6, 2010 on CBS. Brett Ratner is tired of defending his directorial work in X-Men: The Last Stand, but fans continue to wonder what might have been if Bryan Singer had finished his X-Men trilogy, instead of defecting to Superman Returns. Michael Dougherty, the screenwriter for X2: X-Men United who joined Singer's defection, explained his ideas for X3 to Slashfilm in a recent podcast (transcribed by TheGeekFiles).
You found out was that Phoenix [(Famke Janssen)] was going round the world taking things into her own hands and that she had basically returned as a god, which they did in X3. She had viewed herself as above the conflict, that she was here to end things on her terms, she was sick of the fighting and she was going to take things into her own hands and she did not give a s**t what the X-Men or the Brotherhood had to say about it.
