This just in: Tom Cruise still does his own stunts and Mary Hart still thinks it's goddamn amazing. Ever since Cruise's romantic action comedy changed its title from the serious-sounding Wichita to the jump-out-a-castle-windowish, Knight & Day, I don't think any of our readers have wondered, "How is that film going?" And even though the current title befits a high concept Matt LeBlanc comeback vehicle, the lack of awareness is odd since Knight is due next summer and directed by James Mangold, who can aptly do the macho-thing (3:10 to Yuma), the girl-thing (Girl, Interrupted), and in between (Walk the Line). In a Vanilla Sky reunion, Cameron Diaz co-stars with Cruise as the romantic interest. She has plenty of happy things to say about him (and the flick's dangerous stunts with footage!) after the jump... Like many of our readers, I too was non-plussed to see that the footage above (and »

The 45-year-old actress - who played kooky masseuse Phoebe on the Us TV show – believes a big screen reunion is unlikely because “everyone is busy”. Referring to the show's original writer-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, Lisa said: “I guess they don't think it's a good idea… It would be fun, but I don't know. How? Why? Really? Everyone is busy!" Lisa previously admitted it would be “fun” to shoot a movie if the other main cast members wanted to. She said: “If there was a way to figure it out then it could happen." Courteney Cox-Arquette – who played Monica on the show – was reportedly desperate to star in a movie version too. A source said: "Courteney has already spoken to a lot of the old gang and most of them are eager to do it. Courteney has seen the success of the 'Sex and the City' movie and is »

You've heard the rumors for years about why there will or won't be a reunion of our favorite Friends from the 1990s sitcom. Will Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer ever return to Central Perk? Don't count on it.
Kudrow recently spoke to Us at an event in Santa Monica and said that, like most of the cast, she's not sold on the need for a reunion. She said, "It would be fun, but I don't know. How? Why? Really?"
The actress also suggested that the Friends creators -- Marta Kauffman and David Crane -- are the ones who aren't all that interested in getting the gang back together. Kudrow had doubts that it would ever happen and said, "I guess they don't think it's a good idea."
The castmembers are apparently still good »

Lisa Kudrow doesn’t think there will ever be a “Friends” movie. The 45-year-old actress, who played kooky masseuse Phoebe on the hit show, believes a big screen reunion is unlikely because “everyone is busy.” The six regular cast members of “Friends,” Courteney Cox-Arquette, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Lisa – were made into global stars by the series, which ended in 2004. The success of the "Sex and the City" movie, based on the hit HBO series, suggests a Friends movie would do well. But »

Tennis ace Andre Agassi stormed off the set of Friends during one of his then-wife Brooke Shields' appearances on the sitcom - because he couldn't sit and watch her lick Matt LeBlanc's fingers.
The sportsman details the odd moment in his candid memoirs, Open, and admits it sparked a meltdown he had when he returned home - and smashed his tennis awards.
He tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, "I'd determined that tennis is the most meaningless job in the world, I felt disconnected to what it is I do... (I was) pretty much depressed after the 1995 U.S. Open and here I go to a world of people pretending, a world that is so unfamiliar to what it is I live every day.
"The scene called for her (Shields) to eat some hand... It just all became very surreal."
So Agassi walked off the set, got in his car and drove: "I wanted to be free of my own skin... I ended up driving back to Vegas and then you look at all these trophies sitting in your living room that represent the very life that you don't care about... and I just broke all my trophies. I just lost it." »

So the Yankees' Alex Rodriguez was last night's World Series hero, knocking a ninth-inning double for the go-ahead run and a 3-1 series lead against the Phillies. In tonight's Game 5, A. J. Burnett looks to mirror his one-run gem from last week as he takes the mound at Citizens Bank Park. With the Yanks possibly locking up the Fall Classic in a matter of hours, either of these guys could end up nabbing the series' Mvp award. Or the Phils could stage a comeback powered by Game 1 gods, Chase Utley and Cliff Lee.
Whatever happens, though, I know one thing: I detest both these teams because I am a heart-broken Mets fan (is there any other kind?). That's why when I think about ballplayers these days, I tend to think about movies. Cinema has given us some of the best and silliest sluggers and hurlers imaginable, and it is these »

Ad Age's annual charticle on commercial ad rates may reveal that ABC’s FlashForward is commanding the richest, per-30-second ad rate out of all new shows this season ... but it ain't no According to Jim. Say what? Just take a look at the ad rates from only five years ago when Jim -- yes, that benign, so-so rated comedy that stayed on the air for an astonishing seven seasons -- was generating some $204,212 per 30-second spot for ABC. Obviously, the market was a lot better in those days -- you know, when everyone was working for bloated companies while »

Courteney Cox is about to get a little help from her Friends.
Or her Friend, to be accurate.
Lisa Kudrow has signed on to appear opposite former co-star Courteney Cox on Cougar Town, an ABC spokesperson says. What role will she take on? Cox recently told TV Guide Magazine:
“She’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though [she's] mean to me."
No other Friends are set to appear on Cougar Town, though a couple have been in the news recently:

The cast of "Friends" refuses to go away.
Despite earning a gazillion dollars during the life of the hit NBC comedy, the show's stars continue to set up new projects.
Last month, Showtime announced Matt LeBlanc would play a version of himself in "Episodes," a quirky half-hour being produced with the BBC.
Lisa Kudrow is producing "Who Do You Think You Are," a reality series featuring celebs searching for their roots. It will premiere on NBC later this season.
And now comes word that Chandler, er, Matthew Perry has decided to make an »

The flood of reports that Ge is looking to spin off NBC-Universal and give Comcast control of half of the company doesn't exactly come as a shock if you consider the myriad of problems that continue to plague the entertainment division. The movie division has endured a horrible box office run of late (Land of the Lost, Bruno and Funny People all underperformed for the studio this summer) so rumors have been floating for months that Universal Pictures' co-chairmen David Linde and Marc Schmuger would be replaced. And though the ailing TV division did a little housecleaning of its »

Matt LeBlanc is getting a new show? Get thee behind me, thoughts of Joey! The Showtime project, created by David Crane and Jeffry Klarik, follows "a British couple whose hit UK show is turned into a dumbed-down American sitcom starring LeBlanc (as himself)." I...am optimistic, particularly because this has been an otherwise solid week for Friends alums. First, I'm loving Cougar Town almost as much as Slezak is -- Courteney Cox is great in it, and totally not Monica, which is both good (the show needs it) and bad (I loved Monica). Second, Lisa Kudrow sang "Smelly Cat" at »

Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is hoping to make TV audiences laugh again with a new comedy - three years after the actor's spin-off series flopped.
LeBlanc will play himself in Episodes - a comedy about the television industry.
The show will follow a husband-and-wife producing team whose hit comedy on British TV is turned into a dumbed-down American sitcom starring the actor.
LeBlanc made Friends fans laugh as Joey Tribbiani for a decade, but failed to find success with his spin-off series Joey, which was cancelled in 2006 after two seasons.
Episodes will begin shooting in London and Hollywood this winter. The programme is set for a 2010 debut on America's Showtime network and the U.K.'s BBC Two. »
