Outrageous American comedian Artie Lange has taken aim at the producers of hit U.S. reality show Celebrity Rehab - insisting the popular programme exploits stars seeking help with their addictions.
A regular on shock jock Howard Stern's radio show, Lange was offered a spot on the series after years of publicly battling his own drug demons.
He pleaded recently guilty to driving under the influence of drugs in July, and confessed to police he had a prescribed sleeping pill in his system - but insists he is eight months sober from heroin and hasn't taken cocaine since 1997.
And now he's certain he made the right decision to get clean and sober without the help of Celebrity Rehab's Dr. Drew - because he questions if producers would jeopardise his sobriety for the sake of TV drama.
He tells the New York Post, "They offered me 200 grand ($200,000/£125,000) to do Celebrity Rehab. I love Dr. Drew... but I don't think that's helping (relapsed actor) Jeff Conaway... They said it was about me getting better, but if I relapsed, they're not going to air that? My mother knows I've done coke (cocaine), but she's never seen me do it." »

Seattle – Dalton Trumbo was one of the biggest names in screenwriting who for the longest time wasn’t allowed to show his name on the screen. He won two Oscars, but wasn’t allowed to step onto the stage.
At the peak of his career in 1947, he was brought before the House Un-American Activities Committee to testify about communists in Hollywood films. Like other screenwriters before the Huac, he refused to answer the questions. Their decision to not name names got them blacklisted in the industry and sent to prison. After nearly a year behind bars, Dalton secretly returned to screenwriting. He used fake names and front writers on various project. It wasn’t till 1960 when his name accompanied Exodus and Spartacus that the blacklist was broken.
Trumbo is a documentary about the writer that was originally a play written by his son Christopher Trumbo. The play had actors reading »

The toe-tapping teenage musical Grease is out for the first time on Blu-Ray this week and so to celebrate we’re going truly retro for our latest auto spot with a car so cool it comes not only with a nickname, but a song as well. Scoff all you like, but does your car have a song? Thought not. And from these song lyrics we know we’re in for some motoring magic, over to leader of the T-Birds, Danny Zucko (John Travolta) to explain. “Why this car is automatic. It’s systematic. It’s hydromatic. Why it’s Grease Lightning, Grease Lightning!” Couldn’t have put it better myself, Danny. Yes, this week’s auto spot is the Ford De Luxe from Grease.
As new girl in school Sandra Dee (Olivia Newton-John) goes from prim and proper goodie two-shoes to Pvc-clad vixen, so this car also undergoes its own makeover. »

Grease has been established as a film musical institution. The songs are memorable, the cast is superb and the story serves as the perfect connection to string you along from one melodic fix to the next. Even if it's weird to watch a collection of 20-somethings act like high school kids and sing about beauty school, summer nights and Sandra Dee, you'd be hard pressed to deny that Grease doesn't pull it off with a charming level of panache. Converting a play to film often comes at some expense to the material (this remains true in Grease), but the final product of Grease excels rather than falters. Director Randal Kleiser found the perfect formula for stage to film translation; as a result Grease has lingered as a classic musical beloved by adolescents and adults alike.
Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) and Danny Zuko (John Travolta) had a summer together that, if »
