Have you ever wondered what happened to Michael Dorn after Star Trek? Me too! He’s in Agent Revelation…
Agent Revelation kicks off with some brilliant B-movie direction, approaching a house in the desert (and some sheep). Before we know what is happening, two middle aged men are chasing each other, while our B movie director does his best to make it look dynamic and exciting (he fails). Before we know what is happening. One of them is CGI effect, vomiting some blood onto the other one and some special forces types are then running him down.
We are in the future, with some sci-fi effects and some ripe acting. I do not want to...

Indie movie news broke with the announcement of the cast of upcoming film “Avalanche.” The film, which is not about a natural disaster, stars Maxine Bahns (“The Brothers McMullen,” “Cutaway,” “Charlie Valentine”), Aaron Farb (“Powers,” “Kill The Messenger”) and Screen Actors Guild nominee Stelio Savante (“Eisenstein in Guanajuato,” “A Million Colours,” “Ugly Betty”) and is directed by Todd L. Green. So, if the film isn’t about a real avalanche, then what is it about? As it turns out, the film is a thriller that involves the consequences of bad behavior coming to the surface. “In Avalanche, a librarian (Savante), his wife (Bahns), and her lover (Farb) find themselves trapped in [ Read More ]

Patrick Jane (portrayed by Simon Baker), as far as we can tell, was born into a life of showmanship. He grew up in a Carney's life, traveling throughout the Midwest in various carnivals with his father, who touted the young Jane as a "Psychic Medium". Jane played the part well, perfecting his art as a swindler getting people to believe he was talking to their dead loved ones for a hefty fee. Through flashbacks, we do see that young Patrick has something of a conscience (lord knows where that conscience went later in life) and when his father tries to bilk a dying girl out of her grandmother's money, Jane has had enough. Somewhere along the way, Jane decides he's better off as a solo act and leaves his father. He meets Angela Ruskin (Maxine Bahns), daughter of carnival royalty who ran/rented the large steel rides, and they run off together.

2009 Celebrity Baby Name Roundup
This was a year that saw fewer attention-seeking antics and more real creativity in celebrity parents’ choice of names. Celebrity parents are growing up and becoming more sophisticated in their taste in baby names, just as they did in their taste for fashion. Oscar gowns used to be gaudy, tasteless get-ups designed for maximum exposure of all kinds; now they’re evidence of real individual style. So too with celebrity baby names, many of which are starting to show genuine refined taste and discernment and seem designed to enhance the child’s life.

Courtesy Experience Life A veteran triathlete — she has competed in over 30, including the 2001 Hawaii Ironman — no one was more surprised than Maxine Bahns herself when she stopped training and watching what she ate following the birth of her daughter, Madison Rose, in March.
In the September issue of Experience Life magazine, the actress reveals that adjusting to the needs of a newborn left her with little time for much else, including cooking.
“My husband [Patrick] for some crazy reason, loves Top Ramen, and I normally would never, ever eat that, but it was the only thing in the cupboard,” she says.

Warning: Confusion ahead.
Some of you keen eyed creature feature fans may have noticed that a little film called The Tribe was made and released last year. It starred Jewel Staite of Firefly and Stargate fame and was directed by Jorg Ihle. Well, for whatever reason that film was renamed The Forgotten Ones and a remake quickly went into production under the direction of Roel Reiné who changed the title to "Primal" (not to be confused with the upcoming low-budget Australian horror flick of the same name). You still with me? Good. Rumor is that Jewel was either too difficult to work with or not available to star in the remake (or perhaps just didn't feel like making the same bloody movie again) and so she's no longer in it. I'm outlining all this, because there seems to be all kinds of confusion surrounding which film is which and what...

Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) on The Mentalist may be one of television's smartest characters but it's going to take him quite awhile before he can solve the Red John case. The series' producer is saving that little tidbit until the series finale. And, what about a relationship between Patrick and Teresa?
The Mentalist premiered on CBS last Fall and emerged as one of the season's only breakout hits. The series revolves around an incredibly observant former conman (Baker) who helps the California Bureau of Investigation (Cbi) solve cases. Aside from Baker, the series features the talents of Robin Tunney, Tim Kang, Owain Yeoman, Amanda Righetti, Gregory Itzin and Maxine Bahns.
The creative brains of The Mentalist have learned a few things from television history, particularly Moonlighting. Though lots of fans of the popular series wanted the main characters (played by Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd) to get together, once it happened many lost interest.
