About two weeks ago rumors started flying around the internet about a new replacement for Conan O'Brien over at NBC thanks to his very dismal numbers since his transition to The Tonight Show (it has lost 52 percent of its viewership since big red took over and the November ratings will be the show's lowest in 15 years).
The first big rumor we heard from our sources over at NBC Universal’s lot then was that NBC has their eyes on replacing him with none other than Jerry Seinfeld, who is on everyone’s wish list.
But as of several days ago we heard from a couple of other sources that NBC is already making plans for someone else if Seinfeld doesn’t agree to terms with the network- and it’s a long shot that he won’t agree because NBC loves Seinfeld and they want him bad. But just in »

NBC has made a lot of boneheaded moves when it comes to late night, some that have even the thickest of skulls still scratching their heads over. But this rumor, if indeed true, would have those people scratching so hard, they might actually strike brain.
Some anonymous executive sources have said the network is thinking about dumping Conan O'Brien and putting Jerry Seinfeld in The Tonight Show's host chair.
The anonymous source (whom I always imagine as Hal Holbrook) told PopEater's Rob Shuter that Conan's viewership has dropped a whopping 52 percent and that replacing him with the comedian is one option that's being kicked around the NBC offices.
Take it as a rumor, but is this idea a good one?

The reunion of the Seinfeld cast has seen Curb hit new heights. What will its star do after tonight's final episode?
Tonight the latest series of Curb your Enthusiasm comes to a close on More4. "How the hell do I top this?" Orson Welles asks in the new film Me and Orson Welles. After this superb season, Larry David might well be asking himself the same thing.
The last series of Curb was a bit of a disappointment, with Larry becoming a touch more unsympathetic – in one episode he stole flowers off a memorial to his friend's mother, twice – and the introduction of a black family playing on some pretty crude racial stereotypes. Frankly, David seemed to be running out of ideas.
But this year's season has marked a real return to form, with a killer series-long plotline that the 10 years of Curb now seem to have been leading up to. »

The date for the premiere of long-delayed "Parenthood" has been announced when NBC unveils its 2010 midseason schedule. The drama that originally was Maura Tierney's starring vehicle skipped the Fall season to debut on Monday, March 1 being led by "Chuck".
Tierney had to undergo a medical treatment and was unable to continue her commitment to the show. She was eventually replaced by Lauren Graham. This midseason, the series premieres just right after "Heroes" wraps up its season finale on February 8 and NBC finishes its Winter Olympics cover on February 28.
As previously reported, the almost-canceled "Chuck" will begin the third season on Sunday, January 10 with a two back-to-back episode starting 9/8c. It will move to the regular slot on Mondays beginning January 11 at 8/7c.
At the same time, NBC announced that this season's "The Biggest Loser" would be another "Couples" edition. Comprised of 11 pairs, the competition will begin on January 5. Meanwhile, »

I know, I know, you're thinking to yourself, what about Heroes?
NBC has released its midseason schedule, and we can see that Chuck returns on January 11 (after a special two-hour season premiere on January 10) in the Monday at 8Pm slot. The new comedy Parenthood will air at 9, but that show doesn't start until March 1. As for Heroes (which currently airs in the Mondays at 8 slot), the season finale (episode 19 in a slightly shortened season) actually airs on Feburary 8.
In other NBC scheduling news, Jerry Seinfeld's new reality show (now there's a sentence that's really painful to write) The Marriage Ref will air Sundays at 9, between Dateline and Celebrity Apprentice, starting on March 14. What that means is that I probably won't be watching NBC on Sunday nights. Not that I watch NBC Sunday nights now when it has NFL football.

It will fill the slot vacated by "Heroes," which ends its season Feb. 8, and pair with "Chuck" on Mondays.

"Seinfeld" introduced us to the concept of a "show about nothing" back in 1990 -- but let's be honest: It was hardly the first show on TV where not a lot of significant things happened.
The story of "The Beverly Hillbillies" was basically covered in the theme song, and despite its popularity, Jethro's search for a career was pretty much the most exciting thing that ever went down. "The Brady Bunch" tried to wring what comedy it could out of scenarios like the family's big night out at a square dance. Richie, Potsie, and Ralph were perpetually on the make in their argyle sweaters and penny loafers on "Happy Days," but most of the time they ended up back at Arnold's hanging with The Fonz. And if you had a dollar for every time Norm got off of that barstool in "Cheers," you'd have ... well, not all that many dollars.

Oh, good. We definitely need another TV show about werewolves. MTV's proposed Teen Wolf remake series was not cutting it for me. Now, Fox is developing Howl, a saga about warring families of werewolves in a small Alaska town. It is presumably not about beatnik werewolves, the best minds of our generation. Does this mean Fox is on Team Jacob? Omg Lol. Actually, Fox did air a series called Werewolf (starring Chuck Connors, pictured) from 1987-88. Thanks to reader Jeff for Werewolf's complete unofficial site, which is completely terrifying because when you drag your cursor over the menu options, »

A lot of other sites are already taking this news as a legitimate confirmation that director Wes Craven will take the reigns on Scream 4. We don’t.
Scream queen Neve Campbell, who will be making her return to the Scream series in the next film, sat down for an interview with BlackBookMag and discussed the feature.
“I’m pretty sure at this stage that Wes [Craven] is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing it,” Speaking about the yet-to-be-seen script, she added: “So it is going to be great, they had to wait for us all to sign on. I suppose that’s the way these days!”
I don’t think “pretty sure” means “yes, he is in fact coming back to direct Scream 4, you heard it here first. Campbell, out!”
We tried to reach out to Craven’s reps but their office wasn’t open yet. »

Sunday marked the conclusion of the seventh season of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. The season's ongoing story arc revolves around a Seinfeld reunion and Larry David's efforts to reunite with his estranged wife, Cheryl (Cheryl Hines).
Cheryl's decided to try acting again and NBC execs have asked Larry to finally put together a Seinfeld reunion. Larry decides that, by agreeing to do the reunion, he'll be able to cast Cheryl and this will hopefully lead to their reconciliation. He successfully ropes Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards in to the project though all have their doubts.
Though things don't go quite as planned, the Seinfeld reunion is made and Larry and Cheryl start to rekindle their relationship.
While the Seinfeld reunion is a subplot of the rest of the Curb backstage action, we do get to »

(S07E09) "You don't loan Jason anything ... anything that can be inserted." - Jerry Seinfeld to Larry David, about the pen Larry loaned to Jason Alexander
It's me, the Fill-In Girl! And thank you so much, Jonathan, for leaving me with the mammoth responsibility of writing a thoughtful review about the Seinfeld reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm. I'll do my best.
First of all, it was really great to see the gang back together again. It's like they've never been apart, and the whole scenario of a behind-the-scenes look at a table read of a Seinfeld reunion show put together by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld was pretty brilliant.
And yet, it fit right in with Curb, bringing in elements like Cheryl being Larry's real wife and are they together or not, and is she a real actress or not...

Just because Madonna isn't dating A-Rod doesn't mean she can't still be a Yankees fan. A source tells me that the Queen of Pop celebrated the Bronx Bombers' World Series win on Saturday (a day after the big NYC parade) with boyfriend Jesus Luz, Jerry Seinfeld and even one of Yankees owner George Steinbrenner's sons. The group did some wining and dining at posh restaurant A Voce overlooking Central Park... "Jerry got there first with his wife, and he wanted a private room," a fellow restaurant-goer says. "They didn't have anything available, so Jerry asked for the most private table in the place." Our eyewitness says a group of fellow diners was asked to move »

Last night, Marlee Matlin appeared in a Family Guy Presents Seth & Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show sketch (see video after jump) that played her speaking voice for laughs. In an interview conducted via email with EW, the hearing-impaired actress explained why she participated in the skit -- and how it ties in to a new cable series she's developing. Entertainment Weekly: How did you become involved with this special? Forget the smile, forget the eye color. When it comes to passing traits on to his children, Jerry Seinfeld has given much more than the eye can see: the funnyman’s kids have inherited his sense of humor!
“Watching my kids, especially my daughter [Sascha, 9], it does seem to be in the DNA somewhere,” he tells GQ UK, “because I see her falling asleep with these big joke books.”
While he doesn’t doubt Sascha’s interest in comedy, Jerry admits her dedication still catches him off guard.
