Legendary actor Malcolm McDowell urges Hollywood stars to drink lots of alcohol - because he is convinced it helped his generation's greatest talents climb to the top.
The 64-year-old Heroes star has fond memories of epic drinking sessions with legendary contemporaries, and claims it's an important aspect of being a great actor.
He says, "I'm from a generation of actors that were really great boozers: Richard Harris, Peter O'Toole, Richard Burton, and, in his day, Tony Hopkins.
"If you're an actor, I think (drinking at lunch) is appropriate any day of the week. It's best if you can do it when you're not working."

Peter O'Toole has slammed London theatre because artistic directors have turned the West End into "dross".
The outspoken 75-year-old thespian is unimpressed with modern musicals and plays in the capital, accusing directors of ruining the art of acting.
He rages, "Acting today is s**t. London theatre is a graveyard and it's all because of this whole invention of the director. The power of the actor has been taken away.
"There are only three indispensable things: the audience, the actor and the author. The rest is dross."

Peter O'Toole has great sympathy for those abused by Catholic priests as children - because he grew up surrounded by twisted clergy.
The movie great admits he was raised as a "holy Roman acolyte" in the 1940s, and though he was never targeted or sexually abused by a priest, he knew a lot of young boys who were.
The actor says, "Unfortunately there were some wonky priests who tried to touch you up... It was abominable. I was lucky; I wasn't touched.
"The hard kids put a needle in their jeans so that when the priest went to touch them they got a nasty shock."
