Coming to The Vampire Diaries: Taylor Swift?!?

Brace yourselves, Vampire Diaries viewers. Producer Kevin Williamson is teasing some possibly fangtastic news...
Asked about his dream guest star, Williamson pointed to the most popular singer on the planet in an interview with E! News this week. He said:
"I'm desperate to have [Taylor Swift] come play a vampire. Wouldn't she make an amazing Kirsten Dunst circa Interview With the Vampire type? I cannot tell you how hard I'm trying to get her - I would kill to have her on the show!"
Do you feel the same? Would you wanna see Swift appear on The Vampire Diaries?
As for former character, Kayla Ewell hinted that Vicki might not be as dead as she seems.
"I'm still under contract," she said. "But that's all I can say... We'll see what happens."

Romola Garai, honey, you have a lot to learn. The British actress had a part in the movie Atonement, but apparently has not been involved in enough giant movies to know that, when you reveal even the tiniest bit of information about that movie, the Internet will be all over it. According to Digital Spy, Garai was apparently surprised at how interested people were in the fact that she auditioned for Spider-Man 4. "It was really bizarre because I wrote that without thinking anything of it. I had no idea that with Spider-Man 4 being such a big film... that people would pick up on it. I was a bit taken aback. The point I was making is, 'I'm not going to get this [role]!'" We all know that Taylor Swift has developed a definite fondness for a certain werewolf. But is she ready to get down with the bloodsuckers? Vampire Diaries director Kevin Williamson recently revealed that he's dying to have the Fearless songbird strap on the fangs for a guest appearance on the show. It wasn't until Taylor Swift hosted last week's "Saturday Night Live" that people discovered the country artist's natural acting talent. Kevin Williamson, producer of The CW's new hit series "The Vampire Diaries" thought she sucked, in the best use of the word. Kevin says, “My new obsession is getting Taylor Swift! I think she's gotten too big for Vampire Diaries now -- I tried to get her on the show once, but she was touring. But I'm desperate to have her come play a vampire. Wouldn't she make an amazing Kirsten Dunst circa Interview with the Vampire type? When it comes to the first photos and synopsis from upcoming films, Collider has reaped great rewards from this year’s American Film Market (Afm). For those who don’t know, Afm is where film buyers from around the world come once a year to buy movies and also pre-buy films in development. Simply put, this is where a lot of money changes hands in the film industry and it’s where many decisions about what you and I get to see are made. In an effort to try and raise a film’s profile or attract film buyers, many of the studios distribute full synopses and still images for their movies.

The hits from this year’s American Film Market (Afm)* keep on coming. The yearly festival where buyers and sellers do business to bring us all the movies we’ll see in the (hopefully) near future offers plenty of photos and full synopses. You may not have the fat cash to purchase these movies but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy their first images and plot details. We’ve got the goods for Hellraiser, Earthbound (Starring Kate Hudson and Gael Garcia Bernal), Nowhere Boy, The Concert, The Tournament, and the animated films Escape from Planet Earth, Hoodwinked Too! It appears that Taylor Swift will start her career on small screen. Kevin Williamson, the screenwriter of Paul Wesley-starring TV series "The Vampire Diaries", reveals that he once approached the famous actress/singer to make a cameo in the show, but she couldn't make it because of her hectic schedule.
"My new obsession is getting Taylor Swift! I think she's gotten too big for 'Vampire Diaries' now -- I tried to get her on the show once, but she was touring," Williamson told New York Post. "But I'm desperate to have her come play a vampire. Wouldn't she make an amazing Kirsten Dunst circa 'Interview with the Vampire' type? The American Film Market, currently going on in Los Angeles, is where a lot of indie movies have the opportunity to pitch themselves to potential buyers, trotting out whatever materials they've got to make their movie look like the next big thing. But when you hear "indie," don't assume it's all no-name actors acting on crappy digital video-- the movies up for sale this year include the likes of Ben Stiller, Mark Wahlberg, Ryan Gosling, Kirsten Dunst, George Clooney and Channing Tatum, with Mike Leigh, Sofia Coppola, Robert Redford and plenty more behind the camera. Collider visited Afm and came away with stills and synopses for lots of these projects, many of which are still in production. Rachel McAdams has been tipped to take on the role of a comic book villainess in the upcoming Spider-man sequel.
The Notebook star is rumoured to be in talks with movie bosses to join the cast of the fourth film as Black Cat , the costumed alter-ego of Felicia Hardy - and Peter Parker's latest love interest.
A source tells film website Heyuguys.co.uk, "She falls in love with Peter Parker, and uncovers his true identity. Her father then dies, and Hardy becomes a threat to Peter Parker."
Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst will both reprise their roles in the next installment of the web-slinging superhero franchise, to be directed by Sam Raimi.
The film is due for release in 2011. »

Afm* fun continues with the first images and full synopses for All Good Things starring Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst, Pirhana 3D starring Elisabeth Shue and Richard Dreyfuss, Shanghai starring John Cusack and Ken Watanbe, and The Fighter starring Christian Bale, Mark Wahlberg, and Amy Adams. These are all films that should be on your radar because there’s a good chance that these films will be getting some major marketing when they hit theaters.
I write and read about films every day and with the exception of The Fighter, these films weren’t really on my radar. After reading the synopses and seeing some shots from these movies, I’ll definitely be on the lookout for further news about them. Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, Wedding Crashers) and Romola Garai (Amazing Grace) are reportedly in talks to play the superheroine Black Cat in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4.
30-year-old McAdams appears to be the front-runner for the part of Felicia Hardy, a former girlfriend of Peter Parker (you sly fictional dog) who is an accomplished cat burglar…hence the name Black Cat.
In the comics, the cleavage happy Black Cat has always been a bit of a mercenary who walks the fine on legalities. She’s also jonesing for some Spidey.

Words on the street are, Rachel McAdams is in talks to join "Spider-Man 4" to portray another lead female. Mania has obtained information from sources who stated that "The Time Traveler's Wife" actress has met the film's producers to discuss her possibility to play villain character called Black Cat, the alter ego of Felicia Hardy.
The site additionally has reported that Spider-Man may deal with two nemeses in the upcoming movie project. According to a source who gave the movie's update to the site, Columbia Pictures has also been casting for a male villain, but the details have not been known yet.
Previously, there was a rumor that The Lizard will be the only villain in the fourth "Spider-Man" film. However, Dylan Baker, who has been confirmed to play Dr. Curt Connors who eventually becomes The Lizard, remained mum when asked whether or not his character will be seen as the lead baddie. »

Another week and another weak comic book movie rumor. If it’s not Eddie Murphy as the Riddler or Cher as Catwoman, it’s some secondhand whisper about Spider-Man 4.
The script for the Spidey sequel has been completed after several re-writes, so it’s about that time for returning director Sam Raimi to start casting. Tobey Maguire has already agreed to play Peter Parker again and Kirsten Dunst is back as Mary Jane Watson. The big question is who is the villain, or should I say… are the villains?
Mania.com thinks they have the answer. According to their “reliable sources,” Rachel McAdams has met with producers to play Felicia Hardy, better known as the Black Cat, in Spider-Man 4.
In the comics, Hardy is a “cat” burglar and a love interest to Spider-Man, transforming from an enemy to an ally in the story. She’s a flirtatious, catty little minx too. »

Rumor on who is going to play the villain in "Spider-Man 4" has spread out. "Mean Girls" star Rachel McAdams, as reported by Mania, is said to be the strong contender to play Felicia Hardy who is most known as Spider-Man's villain, Black Cat. There is no confirmation yet that 31-year old Rachel is set as the feline villain, but it is said that she has met the producer concerning the role she's going to play.
Black Cat herself is a skilled cat burglar. The character was first created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist Keith Pollard and appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #194 which was published in July 1979. The character Felicia Hardy first wears the Black Cat costume in her attempt to release her father from jail. On the same night, she meets the web-slinging superhero and becomes obsessed.

Mania reports that "reliable sources" have revealed that Rachel McAdams (The Time Traveler's Wife, the upcoming Sherlock Holmes) has met with Spider-Man 4 producers and may play "Felicia Hardy, known to comic fans as The Black Cat."
In the comic books, The Black Cat is a thief that ultimately becomes romantically involved with Spider-Man. Spider-Man 3 tried to create a romantic triangle between Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire), Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst), and Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard). Spider-Man 4 may try the same tactic, though it will also contain a second villain, with the sources revealing that Sony is looking to cast a male in that role, debunking rumors that Spider-Man's professor, Dr. Curt Conners (Dylan Baker), will finally become The Lizard.
