Nicole Kidman may have looked bustier than usual at Wednesday night's Country Music Awards, but were her lips really "freakish?" An item in Friday's New York Post quotes an unnamed person: "She looked freakish," said one witness. "She just had her lips done, and now she looks like Meg Ryan." The Aussie actress didn't want to be interrogated on the red carpet and fled, leaving behind her perplexed husband, Keith Urban. She could not have fled too quickly though, as their are loads of photos of her both alone and snuggling her husband on the red carpet. As for her lips, are they different from a year ago or even 25 years ago? Below the poll are a few photos of Kidman's mouth over the years. ... »

Calling himself “immensely blessed” to have welcomed daughter Sunday Rose, 16 months, with wife Nicole Kidman, country crooner Keith Urban admits in a new interview the couple were unsure if they would ever become parents together.
“We didn’t get to meet each other in our 20s and 30s,” he points out to the UK’s Hello! magazine, “so we thought maybe that’s not our journey, we’re fine with that.” Keith adds,
“It’s such a miracle to have her.”
Although their marriage has offered its fair share of ups and downs, Keith says they are united in their commitment. »

There was something a little off about Nicole Kidman at Wednesday night's Country Music Awards. Or a lot off. The actress was there to support hubby, singer Keith Urban, but all eyes were on her as she made her way down the red carpet. Witnesses tell the NY Post, "She looked freakish. She just had her lips done, and now she looks like Meg Ryan." She didn't even stop to talk to reporters and even ran off the red carpet! "She just flipped out and took off running. Keith kept saying, 'Where is she? Where is she?' " Kidman's reps had no comment for the report. Well,... »

Last night we gave you a taste of the Cma Awards, and now here's the whole set! For the younger women, it was all about the shine on the red carpet from Taylor Swift's typical beautiful sparkly gown to Carrie Underwood's mirrored number. Carrie was one of the hosts of the night along with Brad Paisley, so once she stepped inside it was all about the costume changes for her. Nicole Kidman had nothing but love for her husband Keith Urban, who was a nominee. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw always look classic together and this was no exception. Taylor kicked off the show with a wild performance of "Forever and Always" where she threw around her long blond hair as she sang. There were no semi-subtle kisses for Taylor Lautner this time, but the two have a lot to celebrate next time they see each other - »

There was no upstaging Taylor Swift at the 43rd Annual Cma Awards in Nashville on Wednesday night. The 19-year-old singer/songwriter became the youngest-ever winner of the entertainer of the year award and captured four trophies in all. “I will never forget this moment because in this moment everything that I have ever wanted has happened to me,” an emotional Taylor said after being named entertainer of the year. She also scored awards for best female vocalist, best album (Fearless) and best music video (“Love Story”), adding good-naturedly while accepting the vocalist award: “I want to thank every single person in this room tonight for not running up on the stage during this speech.” Co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood also poked fun at Taylor’s encounter with Kanye West at the "2009 MTV Video Music Awards,” singing: “Mamas don’t let your babies grow up to be Kanye … because cowboys have manners, »

First there was The Polar Express in 2004. This year saw the release of A Christmas Carol. Next on Robert Zemickis’s list for animated Christmas tales? The Nutcracker.
Zemickis’s adaptation of the story of the nutcracker prince will be taken from E.T.A. Hoffmann’s original novel The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, rather than Tchaikovsky’s balletic interpretation (the form with which most people are more closely acquainted).
The film will focus on the war between the mice and the dolls, but will also seek to answer the question of the Nutcracker’s origin and explain the curse that turned him into a toy. The Nutcracker will also be made as a period piece, taking place in 19th century Russia, as in the original story.
The Nutcracker will, of course, be shot in the motion-capture animation style that Zemickis is turning into his trademark.
No production details have yet been released. »

Forgotten Films [1] is a semi-regular feature on Film Junk where we explore interesting movies that have fallen off the radar or slipped through the cracks over the years. If you've seen the recent documentary Not Quite Hollywood, about the history of Australian b-movies and exploitation flicks, then you're probably familiar with the name Brian Trenchard-Smith. Trenchard-Smith directed some of the most beloved cult classics from down under including The Man From Hong Kong, Turkey Shoot, and Dead-End Drive In, before eventually going on to helm some of the later installments of the Leprechaun series. To the average person that might not mean much, but for hardcore genre fans, that basically makes him royalty. Back in the '80s, he also took some time away from the carnage and blood-soaked mayhem to direct a family-friendly film of sorts called Bmx Bandits. The movie has an interesting claim to fame in that »

Some of country music's biggest stars turned out in Nashville last night for the Bmi Awards, which honor the year's best in songwriting. Taylor Swift was fresh off her SNL appearance to take a turn down the red carpet in white before she went onstage to accept an award for "Love Story." Nicole Kidman was there to keep her husband Keith Urban company as they laughed their way through the evening. The BMIs are a precursor to tonight's big Cma Awards, where tons of country singers will come out to celebrate the genre. Both Keith and Taylor are in the running for Entertainer of the Year, so we can expect to see the duo back out again this evening. View 15 Photos › For more photos from the Bmi event, just read more. There’s no doubt that Will Smith is one of Hollywood’s biggest power players: he’s one of Tinseltown’s highest paid actors, and if his name is put on a project, chances are pretty good that film is going to do well at the box office.
However, Smith is not one to rest on his laurels and go for easy roles just to bring in the cash. Instead, he’s ever pushing himself forward as an actor, working to expand his repertoire and make his name receive equal accolades for both his comedic and serious work.
His next role will certainly require him to take his acting to the next level.
Smith has signed on with Sony Pictures to produce and star in a modern-day adaptation of Daniel Keyes’s novel Flowers for Algernon. Now, I’m going to have to step aside from the movie part of »
