Bill Belichick's Fourth Quarter Colts Vs Patriots Fumble An Old Story In Hollywood

6 hours ago | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Everybody makes mistakes, even a three-time Super Bowl winning football coach like Bill Belichick. If a man like Belichick can cause a series of fatal game-changing events due to one bad coaching call — as he did during the fourth quarter of last night's game pitting his New England Patriots against the Indianapolis Colts — then you shouldn't feel too bad about breaking your mother's favorite vase or skipping out on "Drag Me To Hell" while it was in theaters. Alright, maybe you should feel bad about that last one.

But the Patriots head coach isn't alone in his ability to turn a single blunder into a catastrophic calamity — it's a storm that comes into port quite often in the hills of Hollywood. In fact, the following five film franchises have all seen similar collapses due to a fourth quarter fumble.

9 hours ago | Movie Jungle | See recent Movie Jungle news »

See the official trailer for CBS Films' "Extraordinary Measures," starring Brendan Fraser, Harrison Ford, Keri Russell and Courtney B. Vance. The drama sees release on January 22nd and is directed by Tom Vaughan from the screenplay penned by Robert Nelson Jacobs based on the book "The Cure" written by Geeta Anand. Michael Shamberg, Carla Shamberg and Stacey Sher produce. In the tradition of great inspirational dramas like the Academy Award nominated film “Erin Brockovich” and “The Pursuit of Happyness,” “Extraordinary Measures” is inspired by the true story of John Crowley, a man who defied conventional wisdom and great odds, and risked his family's future to pursue a cure for his children's life threatening disease. From his working class roots, John Crowley (Brendan Fraser) has finally begun to taste success in corporate America. Supported by his beautiful wife Aileen (Keri Russell) and their three children, John is on the fast track. »

Trailer debut: 'Extraordinary Measures'

14 November 2009 9:51 AM, PST | screeninglog.com | See recent screeninglog news »

Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser co-star in Tom Vaughan's upcoming drama "Extraordinary Measures," which was formerly titled "Crowley." You can now watch the first trailer right after the jump.

Based on the true story of John (Fraser) and Aileen Crowley (Keri Russell), the film follows a couple who finds a gifted researcher (Ford) with a potential cure for their two children's fatal genetic disorder.

Together they form a bio-tech company focused on developing a life-saving drug, but as it turns out, things don't exactly go according to plan, and soon, the two face a problem that tests their relationship.

To tell you the truth, I'm not quite sure what to think about this trailer at this stage. The cast sure looks awesome, but the preview sells the film as a saccharine melodrama, which can either be a hit or miss. »

Trailer Park: Kicking Some Extraordinary Ass

13 November 2009 5:15 PM, PST | Cinematical | See recent Cinematical news »

Kick-Ass

Why don't people in real life put on a costume, get a few gadgets and fight crime? Because the idea is completely bonkers. This flick based on a comic book by Mark Millar features a group of young people putting on the spandex and, as the title suggests, kicking some ass. This looks pretty cool, but we'll find out for sure on April 16.

Extraordinary Measures

Brendan Fraser stars as a father whose children are dying from a genetic disorder. Desperate to save them he funds the work of an eccentric but brilliant researcher (Harrison Ford) in hopes of finding a cure. I suspect this will be a good old fashioned tear-jerker. If that's your cup of tea you can check it out on January 22.

Extraordinary Measures Trailer Online

12 November 2009 11:22 PM, PST | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news »

So one of these men played Indiana Jones for years; one played a decent pretender to his crown - but now, Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser are working together to cure dread diseases in Extraordinary Measures, the generically-titled medical drama that's just released its trailer online.Based - in the fine old tradition of, say, Lorenzo's Oil - on a true story, Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell here play parents whose two children are afflicted with a rare, and fatal, genetic disorder. In desperation they seek out anti-social but brilliant research scientist who might, maybe, be able to help.We have a feeling that this is one of those trailers that tells you pretty much the whole story of the film, but there looks to be a fair amount of emotion, conflict, redemption and possibly miracle-working in there, so if you're into triumph-over-the-odds stories, this could be perfect for you. »

Extraordinary Measures Trailer Starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser

12 November 2009 9:13 AM, PST | FilmJunk | See recent FilmJunk news »

Harrison Ford is, and always will be, the man. Unfortunately, that doesn't change the fact that his career has been sputtering for some time now (Indiana Jones notwithstanding), and with his latest film Extraordinary Measures, it seems unlikely that he is going to reclaim the audience that has been slowly slipping away from him. The movie co-stars Brendan Fraser, and while I might have been interested if this was a buddy comedy (ha!), instead we have a serious drama about a father looking for someone to help him cure his children of a rare genetic disorder. Just look at that picture... even these guys can't believe they ended up in this movie. Extraordinary Measures is based on the true story of John Crowley as documented in the book The Cure: How a Father Raised $100 Million – And Bucked the Medical Establishment – In a Quest to Save His Children. The book was »

'Extraordinary Measures' trailer: cue tears

12 November 2009 6:30 AM, PST | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Sick kids + parents fighting against the odds + the “system” trying to keep them down + man hugs = I’m crying already. Tom Vaughan directs the drama Extraordinary Measures, based on the true story of John Crowley, a father who defied the odds to find a cure for his children’s rare illness. I wasn’t sure I could buy Keri Russell and Brendan Fraser as a couple, but they seem to work (though I still sometimes have trouble accepting my beloved Felicity as a mom). Harrison Ford brings a more human dimension to the iconoclastic scientist. And did you catch the »

Extraordinary trailer

The trailer from the new Brendan Fraser/Harrison Ford feature Extraordinary Measures has just hit the internet, and it's about as inspirational as you might imagine. It's based on a true story, and I don’t mean the way The Strangers is based on a true story. This guy literally raised millions of dollars to help find a cure for his daughter’s neuromuscular disease, and I won’t give anything away, but needless to say, it’s a pretty great story that... »

Extraordinary Measures Trailer Goes Live

12 November 2009 2:57 AM, PST | Screenrush | See recent Screenrush news »

When the stars of the Indiana Jones and The Mummy movies team up, you might be forgiven for expecting a super-cool action-adventure blockbuster. Unfortunately, however, the first team up between Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser is looking rather less bombastic and rather more schmaltzy.

Extraordinary Measures may feature no whips, hats or resurrected ghouls but it's shaping up to be one hell of a tear-jerker as Fraser's downtrodden dad appeals to Ford's brilliant scientist for help in saving his terminally ill children.

Based on a true story and featuring plenty of uplifting music and cute kids in wheelchairs, this is sure to be a masterclass in melodramatic entertainment.

Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments section...

The first promo for medical drama Extraordinary Measures, starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser, can be watched below. Inspired by a true story, it follows Fraser and wife Keri Russell as the desperate parents of two very ill children. Losing hope, they decide to track down the one medical genius (Ford) who may just hold the key to prolonging the kids' lives. But it comes with a serious price tag and the doctor is not your traditional hero. How's the trailer? Well, you know those based-on-truth films where you can predict each...

The footage, additionally, gives a glimpse of Megan and her father when visiting the film's set. In the clip, the lead actors Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford, also give comments about the family, whose life is told in the film.

Official Extraordinary Measures Trailer with Harrison Ford

11 November 2009 3:25 PM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

I never in my life wanted to ever see one of my very favorite actors, Harrison Ford, paired up with one of today's worst actors, Brendan Fraser, but Hollywood made it happen. And the result, well, it's not that great. CBS Films has debuted the trailer for Extraordinary Measures today starring Ford and Fraser, as well as Keri Russell, in a heartfelt drama about a father's quest to save the lives of his two children. It looks like a very heartwarming story, but kind of like My Sister's Keeper, I don't really have any interest in seeing it. I'm not even sure why, but if it gets some great reviews, I may end up checking it out. What about you? Veteran's Day, 'Precious' And 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' In Today's Twitter-Wood

11 November 2009 3:00 PM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Veteran's Day brought no shortage of veteran appreciation today in Twitter-Wood, prompting thanks and memories from across the board, as well as a personal note from "Twilight" actor Gil Birmingham.

Meanwhile, Jason Schwartzman's on his way to the NYC debut of "Fantastic Mr. Fox," which as a Wes Anderson follower, I am anxious to see myself this weekend. Another new release, "Precious," really got a hold of Tyrese Gibson, who said the film's been keeping him awake. Check out their thoughts along with pictures from Peter Facinelli and John Stamos and a Henry Winkler autograph to be jealous of after the jump. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 11, 2009.

Theatrical Trailer: Extraordinary Measures

Synopsis: From his working class roots, John Crowley has finally begun to taste success in corporate America. But just as his career is taking off, Crowley walks away from it all when his two youngest children, Megan and Patrick, are diagnosed with a fatal disease. With Aileen by his side, harnessing all of his skill and determination, Crowley teams up with a brilliant, but unappreciated and unconventional scientist, Dr. Robert Stonehill. Harrison Ford's Extraordinary Measures Trailer Will Upset You

11 November 2009 2:07 PM, PST | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

On Tuesday Josh put up the new poster for Extraordinary Measures, starring Harrison Ford and Brendon Fraiser and called it Han Solo's funeral. Unfortunately, the new trailer is simply the engraving on his headstone. The film centers on a father, played by Fraser, who, after finding out his children have an incurable genetic disorder, seeks out the help of a scientist (Ford), who he hopes can help cure his children. Think John Q without the gun. What you really take away from the trailer is simply that Harrison Ford can't do it anymore. I grew up watching him fight the Empire, Nazis, Colombian drug lords and Russian terrorists, and now even Kerri Russell has a hard time believing that he can do his job. Check out the trailer embedded below or in HD over at Yahoo!. »

Extraordinary Measures Trailer and Poster: Remember When Harrison Ford Made You Want to See His Movies?

11 November 2009 1:52 PM, PST | Slash Film | See recent Slash Film news »

I do remember, but it takes some work. Earlier this week there was a poster debut for his new film Extraordinary Measures, which was notable for the image being extraordinarily forgettable. Now the trailer has hit for the Harrison Ford film, which co-stars Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell as a couple whose two kids are diagnosed with a terminal disease. They go to a researcher, played by Ford, and attempt to bootstrap a company with the resources to develop what the kids need to survive. Catch the trailer after the break, and pine for bygone days when Harrison Ford was great. Yahoo has this trailer, in case you want to go see it in HD. Fraser has a huge fanbase, and I've been curious to see him try to make a serious movie. (Edit: Which, as has been pointed out, is a dumb statement, because he's made plenty. Yet the »

Trailer and Posters for Extraordinary Measures Starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser

11 November 2009 12:49 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Not to be confused with Extreme Measure, Extraordinary Measures is the heartwarming tale of a father who risked it all to save his kids as opposed to Extreme Measures where Gene Hackman kills homeless people to cure paralysis.  Fraser plays a father whose kids are sick so he spends whatever he has to so a brilliant/eccentric scientist played by Harrison Ford can develop a cure before the kids die.  No harmless are harmed in the making of this cure.

The trailer and two posters for the film have arrived online and they’re both slightly confusing.  In the trailer, folks keep treating Fraser like he’s crazy to spend so much money and push this scientist to develop a cure for the rare illness.  Obviously, the far more sensible thing to do is let his kids perish.  It will hurt for the rest of his life but think of the savings! »
