According to early figures, Michael Jackson: The Live Séance - hosted by June Sarpong MBE - pulled in 607k (3.5%) in the 10pm hour. In the programme, the late singer - speaking through Acorah - complained that he had not been buried next to Marilyn Monroe. The séance was preceded by Michael Jackson: The Search For His Spirit, in which Sarpong went on a journey around the Us to discover more about the real Jackson. It pulled in a reasonable 354k (1.6%). Elsewhere on Friday, the final episode of Benidorm notched up an impressive 6.01m (25.8%) for ITV1 in the 9pm hour. Rating: 8.8 out of 10
Right. Trash Humpers is a snapped work of brilliance and you will either be blown away or absolutely hate it. For me, the earth moved. Korine’s movie was shot on VHS and edited on VHS machines, and in the director’s own words, it’s like a piece of “found footage,” like some kind of crazy old VHS tape “you find in a ziploc bag in the attic.” The grainy analogue look immediately creates a scary marginal aura that’s more effective than several million dollars of CGI. Tell you what, if I found one of those tape in my attic I’d be well jumpy.
There is no story to this whacked out vision of the underclass, but there are a series of amazing scenes. Two old guys and an »

And here we were thinking the 80s was the in vogue fashion. Nope, the big news in style circles is the comeback of an unlikely item – the pointy bra. More conical and structured than their current squishier counterparts, these examples of old school underwear were popularised in the 50s by Hollywood sirens such as Marilyn Monroe and her Gentlemen Prefer Blondes co-star, Jane Russell and again were brought into the limelight when Madonna (who has often styled herself after her idol, Monroe) donned Jean-Paul Gaultier designed versions for her Blonde Ambition world tour in 1990. And now, it’s 19 years later and they’re back with a number of UK shops reporting surges in sales of pointy bras. Who’d have thunk it? »

The crypt above Marilyn Monroe's final resting place has failed to sell for the second time - not a single bid was made for the burial spot.
Elsie Poncher put her husband's crypt up for sale on auction website eBay.com in August, quickly attracting bids over the $4 million (£2.6 million) mark.
But when Poncher finally accepted an offer from a Japanese buyer who pledged a staggering $4.6 million (£2.9 million), the unknown bidder quickly dropped out.
She then put the site back on sale, demanding a deposit before accepting any further offers - but the auction closed on 29 October with no bids on the spot at Westwood Village Memorial Park cemetery in Los Angeles, where Farrah Fawcett was recently buried. »

Matthew Modine: Better Angels
By
Matthew Modine has been something of an iconoclast most of his working life. After being groomed for ‘80s teen idol status in early films such as Private School and Vision Quest, Modine was also one of the first actors of his generation, along with Sean Penn, to take on riskier projects, such as Robert Altman's Streamers, Alan Parker’s Birdy, Gillian Armstrong’s Mrs. Soffel, and Alan J. Pakula’s Orphans. It was his lead role as the cynical Marine Private Joker in Stanley Kubrick’s Vietnam epic Full Metal Jacket that put Modine into the pantheon of young actors who were more than just pretty faces and knowing winks at the camera. This, after all, was the young man who turned down the lead in Top Gun, arguably the prototypical ‘80s blockbuster, due to its cold war politics. From the beginning, »

Lady Diaz
I first met Cameron Diaz on the set of "Charlie’s Angels" in the spring of 2000. I was being escorted into Drew Barrymore’s trailer by her producing partner Nancy Juvonen – at the time, I was there to convince Drew to play the English teacher in my crazy little script called "Donnie Darko."
Cut to October of 2001, at the premiere for "Donnie Darko" at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles – guess who showed up? »

The late fashion designer Yves St. Laurent has jumped to the top of Forbes magazine's "Top-Earning Dead Celebrities" list thanks to a one-time estate sale last February that netted $443 million. With a total of around $90 million, Michael Jackson came in at No. 3 on the list, mostly as a result of the $60 million advance that Sony Films paid to his estate and concert promoter Aeg for the rights to his concert rehearsal footage for the This Is It! movie. Still the figure paled in comparison with the $225 million that the legendary Broadway composers Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein earned last year. Coming in fourth was Elvis Presley, with $55 million. Lord of the Rings writer J.R.R. Tolkien rounded out the top five with $50 million. Forbes noted that several "mainstays" on its dead celebrities list fell off this year, including Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Steve McQueen. "These icons couldn't keep up with their peers," it noted. »

With your regular procedural patroller Alynda Wheat on vacation, it falls to me to embed this clip from last night's vampire fetish/comic book happy Castle, or what my colleague Marc Bernardin has referred to as "officially, the geekiest hour of television ever." It opened with Nathan Fillion trying on a familiar "space cowboy" costume for Castle's annual Halloween party. Daughter Alexis (Molly Quinn) wasn't quite as psyched as we were for the Firefly reference: I say a Halloween episode in Season 2 is a fine time to break out Mal Reynolds' suspenders: Not desperate, just fun. Why does anyone bother saying "Rest in Peace" anymore? The jig is up! You might think you'll lay in the ground forever, but maybe a lake has to be created where the cemetery is, financial turmoil hits, or scientists want to display your aged corpse in museums. In this case, one poor deceased man is being ripped from his space above Marilyn Monroe to pay off a mortgage.
Over the summer, Reuters reported that Elsie Poncher wanted to pay off her mortgage so she could leave her home "free and clear" for her kids. So, she decided to auction off her husband Richard Poncher's final resting place above Marilyn, move him to her adjacent spot, and get cremated herself. ("In fact the person occupying the address right now is looking face down on her.") The winning bid fell through and now Reuters reports that she's trying again. Expected to sell for millions, »

If you didn’t succeed the first time in your bid to spend eternity in a crypt above Marilyn Monroe, try again. That’s what the auction team handling the sale of the crypt is saying, after a previous eBay sale for $4.6 million fell through in Auguest. This time around, the sale will also be on eBay, but bidders will have to be ready to make a deposit of 1 to 5 percent of the cost of the crypt, and they will have to prove that they have sufficient funds to buy it. Los Angeles - The crypt above the final resting place of screen legend Marilyn Monroe is up for auction again, two months after a previous bid of 4.6 million dollars fell through. Bidding for the mausoleum crypt will start at 500,000 dollars on online auction site eBay.com. But anyone hoping to nab the burial site will have to come up with a 5-per-cent refundable deposit of their bid for their offer to be accepted. The crypt in Westwood Village Memorial Park had been owned by Monroe's ex-husband Joe Dimaggio. He later sold it to entrepreneur Richard Poncher, who was buried in the tomb 23 years ago »

Christina Hendricks Drives ‘Em Mad
By
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho and Fairfax, Virginia, actress Christina Hendricks made her debut in the TV movie Sorority in 1999, following a successful modeling career in London and New York. After appearing in dozens of television productions, including recurring roles on hits like ER and Firefly, Christina landed the plum role of seductress secretary Joan Holloway on American Movie Classics’ lauded original series Mad Men. Created by former Sopranos scribe Matthew Weiner, Mm takes place in 1960, and follows the denizens of fictional Madison Avenue advertising agency Sterling-Cooper, led by eponymous characters played by John Slattery and Robert Morse, respectively, with the main focal point being rising hot-shot Don Draper (Jon Hamm), a dynamo whose checkered personal life and shady past come to light in each new episode. Marilyn Monroe devotees have another chance to lay beside their idol forever - the crypt above the movie legend's final resting place is back on the market.
Elsie Poncher put her husband's crypt up for sale on auction website eBay.com in August, and quickly attracted bids over the $4 million (£2.6 million) mark.
Poncher - whose husband Richard has been buried in the plot for 23 years - finally accepted a bid from a Japanese buyer who pledged a staggering $4.6 million (£2.9 million) offer.
However, the unknown bidder quickly dropped out.
And after failing to entice other high bidders to purchase the crypt, Poncher has put the site back on eBay - but is demanding up to a five per cent deposit before accepting any further bids.

Who remembers the Halloween episode from the original Beverly Hills, 90210 in the second season, when Donna dressed up as a mermaid and couldn't move, Brenda and Dylan went as Bonnie and Clyde and Kelly went as a slutty witch and got attacked by a creep? I don't know why, but I loved that episode. It had mermaids And important information about date rape. I don't know if the new 90210 Halloween episode will be as awesome, but we've got a synopsis and promo photos for you.

Michael Jackson's "Moonwalk"

In 1983, while Michael Jackson was making the epic music video for "Thriller," two editors at Doubleday approached the King of Pop about writing his memoirs. Five years later, while he was in the midst of his Bad world tour, the autobiography, called "Moonwalk," finally hit bookshelves.
It almost never did. Shortly before it was to go to press, Jackson hesitated, fearful that in his quest to clear up all the rumors about his life, he had revealed too much. In the end, though, he allowed publication to proceed, and the book became a best-seller. A reissued "Moonwalk" comes out on Tuesday, and MTV News has obtained excerpts from the book, in which Jackson offers his frank thoughts on plastic surgery, »
